All selection issues will focus around the Hawks for this game with Jarryd Roughead (suspension), Cyril Rioli (hamstring) and Josh Gibson (pectoral) all out. Skipper Luke Hodge should return, whilst Liam Shiels, Brad Sewell, Matt Spangher and Tim O’Brien are also in contention to come into the side.
The Eagles arrested a four game losing streak with a massive 111-point win over GWS before their bye. Whilst the Pies had their own four game winning streak abruptly come to an end with a loss to Adelaide last Thursday. Whilst for Port, if ruckman Matt Lobbe is fit expect him to come in – other than that they are unlikely to make a change.
The Hawks started like a house on fire in round 16 last year when they travelled to AAMI Stadium to take on Port. They kicked six goals to two in the first quarter on their way to a 45-point win. Wingman Isaac Smith starred with 26 disposals, nine tackles and three goals as he earnt the three Brownlow votes. Both Jack Gunston and Jarryd Roughead kicked five goals each. For Port, their captain Travis Boak led the way with 34 disposals whilst Angus Monfries and Jake Neade kicked two goals each.
