AFL Live Brisbane Lions vs Collingwood Magpies Stream AFL Football 2016 Online, AFL Round 08 Match will be kick off at The Gabba Stadium, Woolloongabba, Queensland, Australia, Saturday 14 May 2016 online, 19.25 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
Brisbane put in their worst performance of the year against Port last week, with arguably their best side of the season in. It followed their strongest game, when they pushed Sydney all the way. The Lions are proving a different team at home as against away, as young sides often are.
Collingwood has been under more heat than any other club this year, and losing to a Carlton expected to finish bottom four doesn’t help ease the scrutiny. The players appear lost out on the field, and devoid of all confidence.
At $1.80, Adam Treloar is pretty much a sure thing to have 30+ touches after doing it five times already this year. Scott Pendlebury ($5.50) offers some value for most Fantasy points. He loves playing the Lions and carries a lowest score of 94 against them in his last seven, and he’s averaged 110 in his last three this year. Dayne Zorko is an interesting one paying $3 for 30+ touches too. He has averaged 30 on the Pies in his last two games and might give it a shake again.
Collingwood are 6-4 in the last ten against Brisbane. The last four matches have gone the way of the travelling side, including three to the Pies at the Gabba.
The Pies have won 4 of 12 on the road since the start of 2014, at -42% POT, 50% ATS and 67% at the under. They’ve started $2 or less in seven of these matches, for three wins.
Brisbane are 48% ATS at home under Justin Leppitsch, against 39% ATS overall with him as coach. They have started $2 or less only five times since the start of 2014, for one win at -68% POT and only once covering the spread.
The loser of this will find themselves at a new season-low.
Brisbane have been losing, but fans have been somewhat comforted by the thought of an extremely tough draw. Now with a home game against a struggling opponent, anything less than a win is a failure.
The suspicion is that the Pies have reached rock bottom with their loss to Carlton, but you never know you’ve been there until you’re already out the other side.
The Lions have shown they can kick a score this season, while the Pies are conceding too many easy goals in every game.
