AFL Live Brisbane Lions vs North Melbourne Kangaroos Stream AFL Football 2015 Online, AFL Round 17 Match will be kick off at The Gabba, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Saturday 25 July 2015 online, 19.20 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
The North Melbourne Kangaroos will be looking to mark Brent Harvey’s 400th game with a win for their champion whilst the Lions are looking for credibility after being utterly atrocious against the Demons last week.
North is likely to be without Lachie Hansen (hip), Jamie Macmillan (hamstring) and Daniel Wells (Achilles) from their best 22. The Lions are likely to be without as many as five members of their best 22 due to injury.
North is 10th on the ladder with eight wins and seven losses this year having won two in a row for the first time since round 7. They rank fourth for points scored but 14th for most points against this season. They are 6-2 (4-4 against the line) vs bottom ten teams this year. Brisbane is 18th on the ladder with two wins and 13 losses having lost eight in a row. They rank last in points scored and 17th in most points against this season. They are 2-6 (3-5 against the line) vs bottom ten teams this season.
North Melbourne and the Lions have met 31 times splitting them 15-15 with one draw. The Kangaroos have won five of the last seven matches between the two teams. Since 2010, North is 6-3 (4-5 against the line) vs Brisbane. The Lions are 4-14 (8-10 against the line) at home in 2014-15. North Melbourne is 8-11 both head-to-head and against the line outside of Victoria (other than Hobart) since the start of 2013. They have won in Brisbane just once since 1999 – going 1-10 in that time frame and 0-3 both head to head and against the line since the start of 2010. Five of their last seven match ups have totalled over 183.5. North Melbourne is 7-0 in Brent Harvey’s milestone games – 50th, 100th, 150th etc.
The Wolf is very keen on North – the best bet of the weekend. Though the Wolf believes that ‘teams lifting for milestone games is a myth’, North will be spurred on to win for their little champion. Brisbane was utterly deplorable against Melbourne and though they cannot play worse than that effort, North are the ultimate downhill skiers and should feed on the carcas of the Lions. Ben Brown, Drew Petrie and Jarrad Waite are too big and too strong for an understrength Brisbane side.
