AFL Live Collingwood Magpies vs Port Adelaide Power Stream AFL Football 2016 Online, AFL Round 11 Match will be kick off at MCG Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Sunday 05 June 2016 online, 13:10 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
The Collingwood have been struck by injury once more, while the Power must win to stay in touch with the final eight.
Collingwood have turned their season around since losing to Carlton in Round 7, thumping Brisbane at the Gabba, surprising Geelong with a fast start, and then pushing the Dogs all the way despite being left with no fit men on the interchange bench after three quarter time.
Port have struggled for consistency all season, and in the last month have beaten Brisbane at home, and Richmond and Melbourne away, but lost to Carlton away and West Coast at home. They’re playing better than they were in the early rounds though.
Collingwood are 7-3 in the last ten matches between the sides, but Port have won three of the last four, which coincides with Ken Hinkley’s reign as their senior coach. Neither side has reached 100 points in their last six clashes.
The Pies have started underdog in six matches this season, winning three. Under Nathan Buckley, they are ten wins from 14 at the MCG against interstate sides, but at -1% POT and 36% ATS.
The Power have covered the spread in four of their last five matches. They are +32% POT interstate since 2014, which is the second best rating in the league, and 50% ATS.
Collingwood were just starting to find their best form but now have run into injury troubles that may stall their momentum. Port aren’t easy to get a handle on, but are starting to look dangerous with Wingard returning to his best and Charlie Dixon kicking regular goals.
That scoring power might prove a bridge too far for the Pies, who are now missing Alex Fasolo and Darcy Moore, who are first and second at the club for goals.
It will be up to Robbie Gray, Travis Boak, Ollie Wines and Brad Ebert to match the output of Scott Pendlebury, Steele Sidebottom and Adam Treloar, and if they can, the Power should get the job done.
