Australian Football League Live Collingwood Magpies vs GWS Giants Live Stream Free, AFL 2018 Seasons Week 2 AFL Stream. Collingwood Magpies vs GWS Giants match will be kickoff at MCG Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Saturday 31 March 2018 online, 16:35 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
One of the key encounters of AFL Round 2 will be when Collingwood play host to GWS at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.
The 4.35PM clash will be screened on Fox Footy and it is GWS that head in as warm favourites. Here is our preview of the game.
GWS were the big winners in Round 1, dismantling the Western Bulldogs by 82 points in what was an ominous warning for the other 17 sides in the competition.
Jeremy Cameron and Toby Greene combined for 10 goals up forward, while Stephen Coniglio, Josh Kelly, Lachie Whitfield, Tim Taranto and Dylan Shiel all found plenty of the ball further up the ground.
Collingwood found themselves at the other end of the spectrum, losing to Hawthorn by 34 points and the annual scrutiny that seems to haunt the famous club has begun with Nathan Buckley and some of his underperforming players copping some early heat.
The task at hand has been made difficult for Buckley due to the number of injuries on the Pies list and the man that has been at the helm of the Magpies coaching staff since 2012 has some homework to do in order to conjure up a plan to defeat the Giants.
However, his side have their fair share of midfielders that can match the Giants. Scott Pendlebury, Steele Sidebottom and the former Giant, Adam Treloar, will all find plenty of the footy but the issue will be whether or not their forwards can finish the job off in front of goal.
The Pies managed just nine goals for the game against Hawthorn and seemed to lack targets inside 50. Ben Reid booted the first goal of the game but was largely unsighted after that, while Darcy Moore was swung from the backline late in the game when it was all over. It will be interesting to see what combination the Pies opt for this weekend.
