Australian Football League Live GWS Giants vs Fremantle Dockers Stream AFL 2016 Seasons Week 22 match will be kickoff at Spotless Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales , Australia, Saturday 20 August 2016 online, 16.35 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
GWS must be stung after last weeks loss, while Fremantle are looking forward to season’s end.
The four match winning run of GWS, where they beat Brisbane, Port, Richmond and Gold Coast, looked like being five when they were three goals up against the Eagles late last week, but the Giants conspired to lose the game.
Fremantle were torn apart methodically and expectedly by Adelaide last week, their seventh loss in a row. Their last three losses, against the Crows, Eagles and Swans have been by an average of 69 points.
Fremantle are 4-1 in the five matches between the teams, but GWS won their last clash, in Round 7 this year, by 18 points.
GWS has lost four games as favourite this season, but are +13% POT overall, ranked #4. They won their first five games at Spotless this season, but have lost their last two.
Fremantle have won one of their last 11 games away from home, only covering the line in three of these matches. When starting at $2.30 or greater away from home in the last four years, they have won one of their last 15 games.
Oh dear… I’ve found you some gold. Stephen Coniglio is a pony I have been whipping for a few rounds now and this week he’ll be even bigger against the struggling Dockers. At $3.50 for most touches is just too good to ignore. Cogs hasn’t gone under 28 disposals in his last eight games and in round 7 against Fremantle he found the pill 32 times.
GWS are starting to get the shakes as their maiden finals campaign draws near, and questions about their maturity are beginning to be asked with meaning.
Only twice since their Round 15 bye have they put in the performance expected of them, and those matches were against Brisbane and Richmond. They are showing a flakiness in not putting games away from a position of strength.
All of that notwithstanding, Fremantle is in the same bracket as the Lions and Tigers, so the Giants should romp away to a comfortable victory, against a Dockers outfit that is lacking the desire and capability to defend for long periods. If GWS are going to be a serious player in the finals, they need to win and win big here.
