Australian Football League Live Richmond Tigers vs Sydney Swans Stream AFL 2016 Seasons Week 08 match will be kick off at MCG Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Saturday 14 May 2016 online, 19.25 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
Richmond are at their lowest ebb for many years, and Sydney aren’t the team you want to face in that situation.
Richmond have now lost six on the trot, for the first time under Damien Hardwick since his debut season in charge, in 2010. They did push Hawthorn for three quarters last week, but it wasn’t the three-time premiership Hawks we know so well. The Tiges lost to an average side, and lost easily.
Despite the 81 point winning margin, Sydney never really dropped the hammer against the Bombers last week, after struggling over the line against Brisbane the round before. They’re progressing nicely with an eye to the pointy end of the season.
Did you know that Luke Parker has scored 112, 116 and 102 in his last three games against the Tigers and 116 and 120 in his last games at the MCG. This all adds up to cold hard cash to me and he’s paying $4 to lead the Fantasy sections and $1.95 to find the pill 30+ times. Dustin Martin is starting to warm-up after a slow start and has found the ball 28 and 31 times over the last two weeks and at $3.65 to reach the magical 30+, he’s a red hot chance.
Since 2012 Sydney are 33% ATS at the MCG, and 37% ATS in all matches when they travel. They have won 16 of their last 17 when starting $1.30 or less on the road.
Sydney supporters will tell you, they fear Richmond almost as much as they fear Hawthorn, which is ludicrous in the context of their respective standings in the game, but makes sense in relation to the Tigers’ reputation for inconsistency of performance.
Richmond at their best has been about to spread the Swans midfield and defence, and open them up with quick ball movement, coupled with having Alex Rance as the perfect match-up for Lance Franklin.
The Tigers aren’t moving the ball well enough, and have too many players down on form to trouble the Swans this time. The historical stats indicate that Richmond is a value bet, but the reality of season 2016 will reign supreme here, a reality where the Tigers have a 0-7 record at the line.
