Australian Football League Live Gold Coast Suns vs Adelaide Crows Stream AFL 2016 Seasons Week 09 match will be kick off at Metricon Stadium, Carrara, Queensland, Australia, Saturday 21 May 2016 online, 14.10 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
Gold Coast are in a horror patch of form, equal to any in their history, if not worse relative to expectation. In the last month, they’ve conceded almost 150 points a game, with four losses by an average margin of over 80 points.
Adelaide are coming off the hardest opening eight game stretch of any side, and a 4-4 result is probably a win shy of what they deserved. Losses to the Dogs and Cats over the last fortnight have hurt their overall standing.
With Gold Coast crumbling we can’t look past Scott Thompson. He had 34 touches against them last year and is paying $2.50 to lead the pack again. He has been out of touches though with just 20 and 16 in his last two games, so if it’s value you’re after then back in Rory Sloane ($4.50) who is coming off 28 touches last week and a huge 11 tackles, you can also get him at $4 to take out that field as well.
Gold Coast is yet to beat Adelaide in eight starts, and there have been some big margins among them, with the Crows holding an average winning margin of 55 points, and no winning margin less than 32 points.
Adelaide has covered the spread in three of four interstate matches this year, and are undefeated in Queensland since 2013, with five wins, covering the spread in four of them. The Suns have failed to cover the spread in the last four rounds. Under Rodney Eade, Gold Coast is 5 from 15 at Metricon, at -32% POT and 47% ATS.
Gold Coast are now producing the worst football of any side this year, bereft of too much talent and all confidence gone. What little resistance there is, is brittle, and now Gary Ablett is out on top of all their troubles.
Adelaide hasn’t had an easy game since Rounds 2 and 3 when they defeated Port by 58 points and Richmond by 36, and the Suns are far worse off than either of those sides. The Crows have come undone against two legitimate top four contenders in the last two weeks, they’re going to relish the freedom they haven’t had recently, and will be hungry for a kill.
