Australian Football League Live North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Port Adelaide Power Stream AFL 2015 Seasons Week 03 math will be kick off at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, Australia, Saturday 18 April 2015 online, 19.20pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
The two beaten preliminary finalists of 2014 battle it out with Port still yet to register their first win of the season. North are looking to build on the momentum gained from their big win over Brisbane.
North Melbourne will be without Nick Dal Santo after he injured his hamstring against Brisbane and are sweating on the fitness of Daniel Wells, Scott Thompson and Jamie Macmillan. Ryan Bastinac, Ben Jacobs and Robbie Tarrant are pushing for selection. For Port – Matthew Lobbe needs to pass a fitness test whilst Kane Cornes has been rested. Cam O’Shea, Brandon Ah Chee, Kane Mitchell, Nathan Krakouer, Andrew Moore and Jarman Impey are all in the mix.
The Kangaroos are 10th on the ladder and rank fourth in handballs and points in 2015 but are languishing in 15th in the contested possession count. Port is 1st in disposals and second in marks but are last in hitouts and points this season – sitting at 15th on the ladder without a win.
Jarrad Waite v Jackson Trengove – The former Carlton spearhead announced himself as a Kangaroo with seven goals against the Lions last week. North are prepared to go long and quick into their forward line which suits Waite, Brown and Petrie.
North Melbourne have won five of their last six matches against Port Adelaide by an average of 33-points. North is 11-4 (10-5 at the line) at Etihad Satdium against interstate sides since 2011. Port Adelaide are 2-10 (4-8 against the line) at Etihad Stadium since 2011 – going 1-2 in 2014. Under Ken Hinkley, Port is 11-14 (13-12 against the line) away from Adelaide. Port Adelaide started 0-3 in 2011.
Extremely tough one to pick with the stats clearly against Port Adelaide. They have a horrible recent record at Etihad and have not played well against North recently. Port has fallen victim to an extremely tough start to the year whilst North got their confidence back with a nice win over Brisbane. They have all the tools to make Port Adelaide 0-3 to start 2015.
