AFL Grand Finale Live Adelaide Crows vs Richmond Tigers Streaming Free 2017 Grand Final match will be kick off at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, Saturday 30 September 2017 online, 14:30 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
The two sides are unlikely to feature in finals this season and look to be playing for pride after losing their respective Round 17 encounters.
Fremantle went down to their local rivals, West Coast, by 30 points, while Hawthorn were rolled to the tune of three points by Geelong.
The Hawks found another way to lose a close one to their modern day foes after Isaac Smith missed a goal in the last second of the game and should be determined to bounce back, but the job won’t be easy on the road.
Freo sit in 12th position on the ladder with seven wins, while the Hawks are 13th with six victories and a draw. The Dockers are five from nine at Domain Stadium this season. Hawthorn have won two of their four interstate trips in 2017.
Little separates the two sides in a number of statistical measures. Hawthorn have found the football on more occasions this season and a key player behind this is Tom Mitchell. The ball magnet is averaging a massive 36 disposals this year and picked up a lazy 43 against Geelong last weekend.
Freo’s chief ball winner has been Lachie Neale, while Nathan Fyfe has also been finding plenty of the footy in recent weeks. Key battles will also occur in the ruck, where the young Dockers giant, Sean Darcy, takes on Ben McEvoy.
A concern for the home side is their inability to kick goals and they have averaged just 75 points per game this season. Hawthorn have improved defensively and should be able to restrict the Dockers in this part of the ground.
Another factor that points to the Hawks is that their recent form looks much superior. In the past four weeks they have played the top three teams in the comp and come away with a win, a draw and a three-point loss. Their other encounter in that time period was a four-goal win over Collingwood.
Freo’s last month reads much worse, winning just the one game, a four point win over North Melbourne. That has been the Dockers only victory in the past two months.
