AFL Live Hawthorn Hawks vs Gold Coast Suns Live Streaming Free 2018 Regular Seasons week 14 match will be kick off at York Park Stadium, Tasmania, Australia, Saturday 23 June 2018 online, 13:45 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
After claiming victory over the Adelaide Crows last weekend, Hawthorn have been presented with a great chance of taking another step towards September when they take on the struggling Gold Coast Suns in AFL Round 14.
The Saturday June 23 clash will be played at the Hawks home away from home of UTAS Stadium in Launceston and the action will be broadcast on Fox Footy.
Hawthorn have won seven of 12 this season and sit just outside the top eight. Alistair Clarkson’s side are amongst a bottleneck of teams that are fighting for a finals slot.
The Hawks have won their past two games with those victories coming over Port Adelaide at UTAS Stadium in Round 11 and Adelaide at the MCG in Round 13. Those wins came either side of the bye.
Clarkson’s 2008 premiership hero, Stuart Dew, is steering the Gold Coast this year and the first season coach has endured a frustrating time of it of late. After battling injuries and a gruelling schedule, the Suns looked poised for victory last weekend, leading their encounter against St Kilda by 32 points at three quarter time, only to go down in the dying stages by two points.
Gold Coast have now lost their past seven and have tumbled to 15th on the ladder. Optimistic fans can point to the fact that the Suns defeated Hawthorn twice last year but the Hawks appear to be a much stronger unit and lead their opposition in a number of measures.
They are one of the better defensive sides in the competition and rank 1st for fewest inside 50s conceded. At the other end of the ground they are 4th for inside 50s per game.
Key players for the brown and gold include Tom Mitchell, who is the current Brownlow Medal favourite, while James Sicily and Jack Gunston will look to patrol the backline.
Gold Coast will need big games from Tom Lynch, who showed flashes of form last weekend, while David Swallow and Jarryd Witts are among others that will need to step up.
The Suns will also need to find a way to overcome their terrible record in final quarters. They have not kicked a final term goal since Round 8.
