Australian Football League (AFL) Live Richmond Tigers vs Fremantle Dockers match will be kick off on MCG Stadium, Melbourne, Saturday 14 june 2014 online, 13:45 AEDT and its broadcast on Fox Footy.
The Dockers could be missing both key defenders – Luke McPharlin and Michael Johnson with Alex Silvagni a likely inclusion. Others like Colin Sylvia, Clancee Pearce, Anthony Morabito and Hayden Crozier have impressed in the WAFL and are close to a call-up. Half the Tigers side deserved to be dropped after last week’s second half. Ty Vickery will miss with suspension whilst Dan Jackson, Shaun Grigg, Dylan Grimes and Reece Conca are some chance to return.
Richmond have lost five of their past six matches with a 113-point win over GWS mixed in their for good measure. They were woeful against Essendon a fortnight ago and a deplorable second half saw them give up a six goal half-time lead over North Melbourne. Whilst Fremantle have won four of their last five outings (lost to Port in Adelaide). They’ve won three straight by over five goals – conceding an average of 55-points in the process.
Starting favourites in round 17, last year Richmond were never troubled against the Dockers. Dustin Martin had 30 disposals, six inside 50s and one goal to get three Brownlow votes whilst Cotchin had 34 touches, Rance 30 (and 16 marks) whilst Jack Riewoldt kicked four in the 27-point win. The Tigers went down by only one point to Fremantle earlier that year.
