AFL Live Port Adelaide Power vs Collingwood Magpies Stream AFL Football 2015 Online, AFL Round 15 Match will be kick off at Adelaide Oval Stadium, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia Sunday 09 July 2015 online, 19.50pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
The Collingwood Pies are looking for a win after two credible losses whilst Port turned the corner last week with their effort, albeit losing, against Sydney. It’s getting do-or-die on Port Adelaide’s finals chances so they need a result against the Pies.
The Pies are likely to regain Brodie Grundy for the trip to Adelaide whilst fellow South Australian youngster Matthew Scharenberg could debut. Paul Seedsman, Clinton Young and Levi Greenwood are also pushing for selection. They are likely to be without four players (Goldsack, Reid, Macaffer & Keefe) from their best 22. The Power are likely to include Jackson Trengove after he missed the game against Sydney with the flu. Whilst Ken Hinkley has flagged up to five changes with Alipate Carlile and Tom Jonas definitely out as Karl Amon, Jake Neade, Sam Gray and Tom Clurey head the queue to be selected . Should Trengove play, Port should be without just three players from its ideal side (Carlile, Polec and White).
Port is 12th on the table with their finals chances fast slipping away, two and a half games outside of the eight and on a three game losing streak. Their 12th in scoring and 10th in least points conceded this season. Port is 2-4 (3-3 against the line) vs teams in the top eight this season. Coming off two ‘honourable’ losses, the Pies are fifth on the ladder with an 8-5 record. They rank third for points scored and seventh for least points against this season. They are 7-1 both head to head and against the line vs bottom-ten sides this season.
Collingwood and Port have played 25 times with the Magpies leading 14-11; but they have lost the last two games of the last three games. Since 2010, the Pies are 5-2 (3-4 against the line) vs Port Adelaide. Collingwood is 10-9 (10-9 against the line) when playing interstate since the start of 2012 – including 4-4 (4-4 against the line) in 2014-15. They have won their only game at the Adelaide Oval. Collingwood is 11-7 (12-6 against the line) in Thursday/Friday night games since the start of 2013. Port is 1-3 (3-1 against the line) on Thursday/Friday night’s under Ken Hinkley. Port Adelaide has won 14 of their 21 games (13-8 against the line) at the Adelaide Oval. The last four match-ups have totalled under 171-points though the four before that all totalled over 179-points. Chad Wingard has kicked the most goals for Port in their last four games. Port is 2-1 (1-2 against the line) on a three game losing streak since the start of 2013. The Pies are 2-1 (0-3 against the line) on a two game losing streak since the start of ’13.
The Wolf has been slow to warm up to Collingwood as a genuine top four threat this season but they have acquitted themselves well against two Premiership fancies in the past fortnight and look hard to beat tonight. They have experience winning on the big stage in Adelaide (last year on a Thursday night), historically perform well after a couple of losses and have the wood over Port in recent times. Let’s not get seduced by Port Adelaide getting close to a weakened Sydney line-up last week, the Pies have been leading both Hawthorn and Fremantle in the last quarter in the past two weeks and it is time to convert those leads into a nice win.
