AFL Live Port Adelaide Power vs Fremantle Dockers Stream AFL Football 2015 Online, AFL Round 23 Match will be kick off at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia Saturday 05 September 2015 online, 15.50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
Port Adelaide Power should finish their season with four straight wins after the Dockers chose to rest their big guns for their qualifying final next week.
The Dockers are poised to rest up to 11 players ahead of their likely week 1 finals assignment against the Swans with David Mundy, Matthew Pavlich, Aaron Sandilands, Stephen Hill and Luke McPharlin all having the week off. Connor Blakely will make his debut for the men in purple. For Port, forward Jay Schulz could return for a likely farewell performance for the Power. They have four of their best 22 out with injury.
The Dockers rebounded after two straight losses with an easy win over Melbourne last week, scoring over 100-points for just the fourth time this year. They sealed their first ever minor premiership last weekend with 17 wins and four losses this year. Freo is 12-0 (7-5 against the line) vs bottom-ten teams this year. Port is ninth on the table just eight points outside the eight. In what will shape as a lost season, they have won their last three games and have beaten the Hawks twice this year.
Port Adelaide and Fremantle have met 30 times with the Dockers leading 16-14. Fremantle have won eight out of their last ten games against Port. Port Adelaide has won 17 of their 22 games (16-9 against the line) at the Adelaide Oval. The Dockers are 25-17-1 (23-20 against the line) when playing away from Perth under Ross Lyon. They are 1-1 at the Adelaide Oval. Port midfielder Sam Gray averages 35 touches in the last two weeks. Chad Wingard has kicked the first goal in four games this year. Freo midfielder Lachie Neale has had the most disposals in five games this year. Three of the past five games have totalled over 187 points. Teams favoured by 50-points or more are 8-0 (3-5 against the line) this year.
The last time Fremantle rested the bulk of their players before finals, they were smoked by St Kilda to the tune of 71-points and that fate could befall them again this weekend. Though many of Freo’s side will be out to impress in order to maintain in the finals race, Port should cruise to victory. Expect plenty of goals in this one as Port’s midfield should be able to dictate terms and make this a free-flowing affair.
