AFL Live West Coast Eagles vs Essendon Bombers Stream AFL Football 2015 Online, AFL Round 11 Match will be kick off at Domain Stadium, Perth, Western Australia, Australia Saturday 13 June 2015 online, 16.35pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
The beleaguered Bombers look to put their past two weeks behind them against a West Coast side that wants to maintain its spot in the top four after losing to North last week.
The Eagles regain forward Jack Darling and utility Xavier Ellis at the expense of Fraser McInnes and Jackson Nelson. They are without Mitch Brown (season), Eric Mackenzie (season) and Matt Rosa (emergency) from their best 22. The Bombers omitted Courtenay Dempsey and Tom Bellchambers with Jobe Watson and Shaun Edwards returning meaning the out-form and out of contract Jake Carlisle is set to play ruck alongside Patrick Ambrose. They are without Dustin Fletcher, Heath Hocking, David Myers and David Zaharakis from their ideal team.
The Eagles slip to third on the ladder after losing to Richmond. They are 7-3 this season, ranking second for most points and fourth for least points conceded. They are 1-1 against teams in the eight this season. The Bombers are 13th on the table with a 4-6 record. They rank 8th for least points conceded but 14th for points scored this season. They are 1-4 (2-3 against the line) vs top eight teams in 2015.
These two sides have met 48 times with the Bombers leading 27-21. Since 2010, Essendon is 4-4 (2-6 against the line) vs West Coast. The Eagles are 10-6 both head-to-head and against the line at home in 2014-15. They are 4-1 both head-to-head and against the line at home in 2015 with an average winning margin of 76-points – their only loss was to Fremantle. The Bombers are 11-6 (9-8 against the line) when playing outside of Melbourne three seasons. Essendon have won three of their last five (3-2 against the line) in Perth. Six of the last eight match-ups have totalled over 178-points.
By virtue of an extremely easy draw, the Eagles sit third on the ladder. They have beaten up all travelling teams to Perth this year and will see this as another opportunity to do so. The Bombers are at their lowest ebb this season after being humiliated against Geelong. However, they do travel well and with their season slowly slipping away will be fired up for a contest. In order to win, Essendon will need to restrict West Coast’s midfield from giving their forwards premium service. Expect Essendon to try and possess the ball, lock down on West Coast’s runners and keep this one tight. Backing the Bombers to show some fight and bounce back.
