The Eagles will be happy to welcomes back Xavier Ellis and Mark LeCras should they prove their fitness whilst Adam Simpson flagged that they might change their structure and drop a ruckman meaning Scott Lycett’s position is in danger after a poor performance in the Derby. For the Giants, Jeremy Cameron and Adam Treloar will be absent. Aidan Corr is set to play his first game of the year, whilst Lachie Whitfield, Shane Mumford and Josh Hunt could all feature.
The Eagles are desperately out of form losing their past four in a row after a 3-0 start to the year. The Giants are also struggling losing their last four matches by an average of 42 points. Both sides will be keen to get their seasons back on track with a much needed Mother’s Day victory.
The Eagles came away from Spotless Stadium with a 100-point win over GWS in round 9 last season. They had their way with the young Giants side hacking 40 scoring shots to 15 as Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling kicked five goals each. Chris Masten had 32 disposals on his way to the three Brownlow votes.
