AFL Live Western Bulldogs vs Gold Coast Suns Streaming Free 2018 Regular Seasons week 06 match will be kick off at Mars Stadium, Ballarat, Wendouree, Australia, Saturday 05 April 2018 online, 13:45 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
The AFL action heads out to the Victorian town of Ballarat on Saturday May 5 when the Western Bulldogs take on the Gold Coast Suns at MARS Stadium.
The Bulldogs head in as favourites for the Round 7 encounter and the game commences at 1.45PM. Fox Footy will broadcast the game live.
The Western Bulldogs have battled a combination of injuries and poor form this season and have won just two of their six matches. However, they come off a Round 6 victory, defeating the struggling Carlton outfit by 21 points.
Gold Coast have won three of six but come off a 48 point loss to Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval. Despite their superior win-loss record, they head in as underdogs for this one.
Stuart Dew’s side have had to do it the hard way, playing a number of their matches on the road, as they wait for their home ground of Metricon Stadium to be ready for AFL action following the recent Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast. Two of their wins have come in Queensland with those victories occurring in Brisbane and in Cairns. The other was over Carlton at Etihad Stadium.
Tom Lynch looms as a key player for the visitors, as does David Swallow and Jarryd Lyons. Lynch was starved for opportunities last weekend but has booted 14 goals this year, while Swallow and Lyons continue to figure in the Suns best.
Across the ground, the Bulldogs may just have more depth than their counterparts but the 2016 premiers will have to do it without a number of key players. Marcus Bontempelli, Jack Macrae and Lachie Hunter are some familiar players that will line up and should find enough of the footy, but the Dogs will need to finish off further up the ground if they are to seal the deal in this one.
Unlike the Suns, the Dogs have no real target inside forward 50. Matthew Boyd showed some positive signs last weekend but it is the six-game rookie, Billy Gowers that leads their goal kicking with just eight majors for the season.
