The Western Bulldogs must win to keep up their unlikely march towards a top four berth whilst the Power must treat this like a mini-elimination final to keep their dreams alive.
Port will be without young gun Ollie Wines due to his shoulder injury. Angus Monfries, Karl Amon and Brendon Ah Chee are potential ins. They are still without Alipate Carlile and Jared Polec from their best 22. For the Dogs, defender Fletcher Roberts and defender/ruckman Jordan Roughead must pass fitness tests in order to be selected whilst Tom Boyd, Lin Jong and Nathan Hrovat performed well in the VFL. They are still missing Koby Stevens, Liberatore and Clay Smith from their best 22.

They rank fifth in scoring and sixth in least points against this season. The Bulldogs are 7-3 (5-6 against the line) vs bottom ten teams this year. Port is 12th on the table having won three of their last four games. They are two games outside the eight. They rank seventh for points scored and 10th for least points conceded this season.
ort Adelaide and the Bulldogs have played 24 times with Port leading 13-11. The Dogs have won last seven of their last nine games against Port though Port has won the last two. Since 2010, the Bulldogs are 4-2 both head to head and against the line vs Port. The Bulldogs are 18-20 (but 22-16 against the line) at Etihad Stadium since the start of 2013. They are 8-2 (7-3 against the line) at the Dome this year. Port is 14-15 (14-15 against the line) when playing away from Adelaide under Hinkley. Port Adelaide is 4-10 (5-9 against the line) at Etihad Stadium since 2011 – going 3-2 in 2014-15. The Dogs are 1-4 (1-4 against the line) when on a two game winning streak since the start of 2013. Three of the past four match-ups have totalled under 180 total match points.
The Bulldogs look well placed to make it three in a row against the Power. They are developing a multi-focal forward line with the in-form Crameri joining dead-eye Tory Dickson and the mercurial Jake Stringer all up and firing. They have plenty of pace through the middle with Dahlhaus, Hunter, Macrae, Johannisen, Murphy and Biggs whilst their unheralded backline has made scoring difficult for their opponents in recent weeks. Port Adelaide is a bitg of a step up but they way in which they took care of Collingwood and Essendon makes them the Western Bulldogs the bet today.
