Australian Football League Live Gold Coast Suns vs North Melbourne Kangaroos Stream AFL 2015 Seasons Week 14 math will be kick off at Metricon Stadium, Gold Coast, Carrara, Queensland, Australia Saturday 04 July 2015 online, 16.35 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
The Gold Coast Suns should have been beaten by more against the Blues whilst North look to attack their relatively easy draw in the second half of the year to push for a finals berth.
Coming off their bye, North will be without Daniel Wells and Nathan Grima from their best 22 with Aaron Mullett, Ryan Bastinac, Luke McDonald, Kayne Turner and Majak Daw pushing for a return via strong performances in the VFL. For the Suns, hopefully Gary Ablett will make his long awaited return after missing again last week. David Swallow is also a chance whilst Rory Thompson played NEAFL last week and should be ready to return too. Charlie Dixon will have to pass a fitness test on his ankle whilst Jack Martin, Jaeger O’Meara and Dion Prestia remain missing.
North Melbourne is 11th on the ladder with a 6-6 record having won two of their last three games before their bye. They rank seventh for scoring but 13 for most points against this season. They are 4-1 (3-2 against the line) vs bottom ten teams this year. Gold Coast is last on the ladder with just one win. They rank 18th in points scored and 16th in points conceded this year and have a 1-4 (2-3 against the line) vs fellow bottom-ten teams this season.
North have beaten Gold Coast in three of their five matches, although the Suns have won the last two encounters. The Suns are 4-1 against the line in games vs North. Gary Ablett averages 36 disposals and 2.8 goals per game when playing for Gold Coast against the Roos. Gold Coast is 14-14 (17-11 at the line) at Metricon Stadium in the last three seasons – 8-9 (11-6 against the line) in 2014-15. North Melbourne is 8-10 both head-to-head and against the line outside of Victoria (other than Hobart) since the start of 2013. They are 2-1 (1-2 against the line) when playing on the Gold Coast. North is 1-2 both head to head and against the line following a bye/week-off since the start of 2013. Five of the six outsiders covered the line in round 13.
Very keen on North in this one. Gold Coast were flattered by the scoreboard against Carlton and could have lost by a lot more. They were completely inept forward of centre without Charlie Dixon whilst Robbie Tarrant should be able to match it with Tom Lynch. Going into the bye with a 56-point win over GWS, the Roos should further build that momentum with an easy win over Gold Coast.
