Australian Football League Live Gold Coast Suns vs Port Adelaide Power Stream AFL 2015 Seasons Week 22 math will be kick off at Metricon Stadium, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, Saturday 29 August 2015 online, 19.20 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
Port Adelaide showed why this season is such a waste when beating Hawthorn last weekend whilst the Suns won their second game in the last three weeks when beating the Bombers.
The Suns have Clay Cameron and Charlie Dixon into the team with Josh Hall and Adam Saad out. They have as many as seven on their best 22 out with injury. For the Power, Aaron Young, Matty Lobbe and Karl Amon are into the side with Jay Schulz (back), Kane Mitchell (omit) and Jake Neade (family reason) all out. They have five of their best 22 missing.
Port is 10th on the ladder having won four of their last five games including a sturring win over the Hawks last round. They have averaged 106-points in the last six weeks. The Suns are 16th on the ladder, six wins behind the Power. Gold Coast is 4-5 (5-4 against the line) vs fellow bottom-ten teams this season.
The Suns have played Port Adelaide five times with Port holding a 4-1 advantage. Port is 2-3 against the line in those matches. Four of their five games have totalled over 169-points. Port is 15-16 (15-16 against the line) when playing away from Adelaide under Hinkley. Chad Wingard has kicked 3 or more goals in ten of his last 11 games. Gold Coast is 15-16-1 (19-12 at the line) at Metricon Stadium in the last three seasons – 9-10-1 (13-7 against the line) in 2014-15. Robbie Gray has topped Port Adelaide’s possession winners in their last four games. Aaron Hall is averaging 29 possessions in the last three weeks. Gold Coast forward Tom Lynch has kicked 19 goals in his last five games.
On the strength of Port’s dominant performance over the Hawks, it’s hard not to pick the Power to roll the Suns. Their midfield showed why they were touted as a top four threat at the start of the year with Travis Boak, Robbie Gray, Hamish Hartlett and Brad Ebert ably assisted by Jaspar Pittard and Sam Gray. Up forward Justin Westhoff, Paddy Ryder, Angus Monfries and Chad Wingard should have too much firepower for the Suns defenders. They will propel the Power to a win.
