Australian Football League Live North Melbourne Kangaroos vs GWS Giants Stream AFL 2017 Seasons Week 03 match will be kickoff at Bellerive Oval Stadium, Bellerive, Tasmania, Australia, Saturday 08 April 2017 online, 13.45 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
Saturday afternoon AFL action gets underway at 1.45PM when North Melbourne take on the G.W.S Giants at Blunstone Arena in Hobart.
The Round 3 encounter sees the winless Roos get their chance to make amends for a narrow loss to Geelong last weekend but it won’t be easy against the Giants, who are the current flag favourites.
The game will be screened on Fox Footy, while AFL Live Vision is also available to ALL CrownBet members. Every Match, wherever you are.
G.W.S head into this as solid favourites and come off an emphatic 102 point win against the lowly Gold Coast Suns last Saturday.
The Giants dropped their season opener against Adelaide but responded in style against the Suns. Jeremy Cameron and Toby Greene combined for 11 goals, while Dylan Shiel and Josh Kelly found plenty of the footy. However, it was the Giants relentless pressure that would have pleased coach Leon Cameron the most.
His opposite number for this weekend’s game, Brad Scott, was left lamenting what could have been when his side went down to Geelong by one point last Sunday after leading all day.
The Kangaroos are unfancied in the betting for this weekend’s game and will need to make sure that they don’t go into their shells after the painful loss to Geelong.
Defensive pressure will be a priority for Scott this weekend, while he will also need the likes of Shaun Higgins, Ben Cunnington and Braydon Preuss to continue their solid easy season form.
Preuss has been a revelation in the ruck and stood up in the absence of Todd Goldstein last weekend. He comes up against Shane Mumford and the battle between the respective big men will go some way to deciding who wins this one.
Around the ground, however, the Giants look like they boast too much depth and if they can avoid some of the lapses in concentration that have plagued the over the last year or so, they should be too good.
