Australian Football League Live Sydney Swans vs Western Bulldogs Stream AFL 2015 Seasons Week 05 math will be kick off at Sydney Cricket Ground (MCG) Stadium, Sydney, Australia Saturday 02 May 2015 online, 14.10am (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
The Sydney Swans are looking to bounce back after a slow start cost them against Fremantle whilst the Dogs are riding high after beating Adelaide.
Don’t expect too many changes for the Swans despite a loss to Fremantle. Adam Goodes, Tom Mitchell and Daniel Robinson continue to press their claims in the NEAFL. The Bulldogs will hope Jake Stringer can play despite a tight hammy. Don’t expect too many forced changes from the Doggies. Also, expect Mike Pyke to dominate the hit-outs if Will Minson is not recalled.
The Swans are 3-1 and fourth on the ladder with wins over Essendon, GWS and Port Adelaide before a tight loss to Fremantle last weekend. They rank fourth in disposals and have conceded an average of just 67-points per game this season. The fierce Bulldogs are sixth on the ladder with wins over West Coast, Richmond and Adelaide and one loss to Hawthorn. They’re second in tackles and 16th in clangers per game.
Lance Franklin and Kurt Tippett v Jordan Roughead and Michael Talia – The Dogs have had difficulties containing these two recently with Buddy kicking six in round 22 last season and Tippett slotting six in round 19, 2013. Roughead and Talia have improved but will need to step it up another gear against these two.
The Bulldogs and the Swans have met 154 times with the Doggies holding a 77-76 advantage with one draw. The Swans have had the wood over them recently having won seven in a row. The Dogs haven’t beaten the Swans since the 2010 semi-final and have lost seven of their past eight at the SCG. Sydney is 22-4-1 (17-10) against the line at the SCG since the start of 2012, including 8-1 (5-4 against the line) since last year. The Bulldogs are 6-14 both at the line and head-to-head when playing interstate from 2012-2014.
At time of writing, the weather forecast is predicting rain from Thursday to Saturday in Sydney so expect this one to be a hard slog which suits the Swans in a close one. Happy to take the unders and the Bulldogs at the line in what will not be a pretty game to watch.
