JLT Series Gold Coast Suns vs Western Bulldogs Live Streaming Free 2017 Online Thursday 09 March

AFL Live Gold Coast Suns vs Western Bulldogs Stream AFL JLT Series 2017 Pre Seasons Week 04 match will be kick off at Metricon Stadium, Carrara, Queensland, Australia, Thursday 09 March 2017 online, 16.50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Having endured a bruising pre-season competition, the Western Bulldogs expect three major names to return this week, while their ruck stocks have also been given a boost.

Star midfielder Marcus Bontempelli, veteran Matthew Boyd and former Magpie Travis Cloke will train this week and the Dogs on Monday expected them to line up in the final JLT practice match, against the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium on Thursday night.

Bontempelli has battled a minor ankle issue since a pre-season camp in Mooloolaba and has not played in the Dogs’ opening two practice matches, losses to Demons and the Brisbane Lions.

He was named to play against the Lions at Etihad Stadium but was a late withdrawal. Boyd and Cloke were also named in the original squad but were late withdrawals.

Should Bontempelli not play against the Suns, there will be major questions over his fitness heading into a round-one blockbuster against Collingwood.

Coach Luke Beveridge last week said Boyd and Cloke, the latter kicked a goal on debut against the Demons, had been dealing with “niggles”.

Already without frontline ruckman Jordan Roughead (hamstring) for the early part of the season, the Dogs received another blow in a recent intra-club clash when Tom Campbell hurt his ankle and hobbled off.

However, Campbell has begun running in recent days and his fitness will be monitored, with no definitive time frame for a return.

There are several players fighting for selection against the Pies, with Stewart Crameri, Matt Suckling and Lin Jong impressing through the pre-season. All three missed last year’s premiership.

Beveridge was effusive of Jong after the loss to the Lions.

“That combination of his forward play and his  midfield really came to the fore, which was fantastic and that’s where he’s aiming to influence the competition and establish himself in the 22 so that was encouraging,” he said.

AFL Football Port Adelaide Power vs Richmond Tigers Live JLT Series Streaming 05 March 2017

Australian Football Live Port Adelaide Power vs Richmond Tigers JLT Series Stream AFL 2017 Pre Seasons Week 03 match will be kick off at Malseed Park, Mount Gambier, SA, Australia, Sunday 05 March 2017 online, 16.10 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Port Adelaide Power coach Ken Hinkley’s noted eagerness to “play the kids” — and believe in the part they can play in the Power’s AFL campaign this year — will put recent draftee Willem Drew in the frame for selection on Thursday.

Drew, the No.33 pick in last year’s national draft, made a timely impression in the SANFL Magpies trial at the weekend — just as Hinkley prepares for another shuffle of his midfield rotations in Sunday’s JLT Community Series clash with Richmond at Mount Gambier on Sunday.

The Power will not name experienced midfielder Brad Ebert, who will rest this weekend to attend a wedding. This long-arranged leave pass for Ebert opens the debate at match committee on Thursday to tap Drew for the 29-man squad.

Drew, a 188cm midfielder from the North Ballarat under-age program, was the Power’s fourth recruit in last year’s national draft where Port Adelaide used three consecutive picks to restock its midfield with the much-noted Sam Powell-Pepper from East Perth at 18, Joe Atley from the Bendigo Pioneers at 32 and Drew.

Port Adelaide on Thursday will not consider Ebert and defender Matthew Broadbent; test specialist forward Aaron Young (ribs) who was battered before halftime in last Thursday’s one-point loss to St Kilda at Etihad Stadium and get a better read at training for the readiness to add gun midfielder Robbie Gray and young defender Darcy Byrne-Jones to the pre-season campaign.

JLT Series AFL Adelaide Crows vs Geelong Cats Live Stream Free 2017 Online 05 March

AFL Live Adelaide Crows vs Geelong Cats Stream AFL JLT Series 2017 Pre Seasons Week 03 match will be kick off at Richmond Oval Stadium, Richmond, South Australia, Australia, Sunday 05 March 2017 online, 13.35 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Stand-in coach Matthew Knights was happy with the manner in which Geelong handled Hawthorn’s pressure in the JLT series opener in Launceston, but the Cats have much to prove in this regard if they are to be a genuine premiership threat this year.

Much has been made of their flame-out in last year’s preliminary final against the Swans, when the contest was effectively over at quarter-time after the Cats were goalless and their opponent had seven goals on the scoreboard.

The statistics come the end of the game raised eyebrows – the Cats would have 32 more inside 50s but the killer blow was that their efficiency was the lowest it had been all year.

Deeper analysis by Champion Data in its 2017 prospectus has labelled the Cats the “Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde” of season 2016, meaning it should not have been such a surprise they struggled when the heat was at its fiercest.

“Fortunately the evil Mr Hyde was the personality who appeared less often. This meant the inconsistency ultimately didn’t hurt them as they still managed to finish in the top four at season’s end. The difference between their good and bad, however, was arguably the biggest gap of any finalist,” the analysis found.

Of the top-eight teams when playing against each other last year, the Cats were the most accomplished, claiming 32 premiership points (from 10 games) and a percentage of 126.5. But of the top-eight teams facing the bottom 10 sides, they were the worst, managing nine wins (from 12 games) – one behind North Melbourne. For a club which would ultimately finish as one of the top four sides, that was surprising.

AFL Fremantle Dockers vs Collingwood Magpies Live Streaming Free 2017 JLT Series Online

AFL Live Fremantle Dockers vs Collingwood Magpies Stream AFL JLT Series 2017 Pre Seasons Week 3 match will be kick off at Rushton Park Stadium, Mandurah, Western Australia, Australia, Saturday 04 March 2017 online, 16.40 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Fremantle will host Collingwood at Rushton Park in Mandurah on Saturday for Freo’s second match of the JLT Community Series.

The teams can expect significantly different conditions from their last meeting in round 14 of the 2016 season, where Collingwood ran out 48-point winners in bitterly cold conditions at the MCG.

Fremantle have named a strong squad of 29 players, which could be close to their best 22 for the 2017 season.

Joining the side are Aaron Sandilands and Lachie Neale, who bolster the Fremantle midfield after it was put through the ringer against West Coast in Geraldton last week.

This weekend, Fremantle face another test in Collingwood’s engine room. The Pies have brought in their star midfielders Scott Pendlebury, Adam Treloar and Taylor Adams, as well as ruckman Brodie Grundy, to the side that defeated Essendon by 11 points at Etihad Stadium on 16 February.

The game will also be Freo fan’s first chance to see former forward Chris Mayne in the Black & White, with Mayne making his second senior appearance for the Magpies after kicking one goal with four disposals and four tackles against Essendon.

TALKING POINTS

1. Can Freo bring the pressure?
After starting last week on the back foot, Fremantle turned things around following Ross Lyon’s half-time address against the Eagles. This week, assistant coach Mark Stone has called for Freo to step up in their “intensity and sustained effort” – meaning a solid four-quarter performance is required.

2. Progress of new faces
New signings Cam McCarthy, Bradley Hill, Joel Hamling and Shane Kersten will all play their second game in Fremantle colours on Saturday. It’s a talented group of young West Australian talent, and Ross Lyon will be keen to see how these new faces are adapting to their new teammates and the game-plan.

3. Mayne man returns
Chris Mayne has long been a favourite for Fremantle fans and players. Will Mayne’s knowledge of the side be an advantage, or will Freo’s defenders know how to limit his impact?

4. Freo’s second home
As the home base for Peel Thunder, Fremantle’s WAFL affiliate side, Rushton Park will be familiar territory to many of Freo’s young up and coming players. It’s also the spiritual home for Hayden Ballantyne, with the ground boasting the Hayden Ballantyne Wing that commemorates the small forward’s efforts in his 2008 Sandover Medal winning season.

WESTERN Bulldogs midfield superstar Marcus Bontempelli will suit up for the first time this year in Thursday night’s JLT Community Series clash with the Brisbane Lions at Etihad Stadium.

It will be the 2016 best and fairest’s first hit-out since last year’s premiership win, while it also looms as Lions midfielder Dayne Beams’ debut in his new role as his club’s captain.

Beams, named as Tom Rockliff’s successor on Tuesday, will lead a largely unchanged Lions outfit in his first run for the year.

While the Dogs have called up experienced heads Matthew Boyd, Matthew Suckling, Easton Wood, Dale Morris and Liam Picken, the Lions have opted for minimal changes to their side that was beaten by Gold Coast on the first weekend of the series.

Tom Bell, Tom Cutler, Eric Hipwood and rookie Matthew Hammelmann have been named in a line-up that again won’t feature Allen Christensen, Marco Paparone and Josh Schache, as well as draftees Jarrod Berry and Alex Witherden.

Meanwhile, the Dogs have named 14 players for their first hit-outs for the year, including 2016 draftees Tim English, Patrick Lipinski and Lewis Young, and new rookie Nathan Mullenger-McHugh.

Captain Bob Murphy, Luke Dahlhaus, Lachie Hunter, Tom Campbell and Tom Liberatore have been left out of the side, along with injured ruckman Jordan Roughead.

THE mystery girl who famously rode on the Arden Street elephant’s back is a 47-year-old postie from south-east Queensland.

Sally Wood today told the Herald Sun she came from a strong family of North Melbourne supporters and had eagerly volunteered to ride the circus animal.

She was a die-hard cheer squad member who never missed a game with her family — her grandparents even hosted young North Melbourne kids recruited to the club.

North Melbourne had failed to track her down over the years, but after the Herald Sun made public their search she was unearthed.

“It will be 40 years next year. I was in the cheer squad and they asked if anyone wanted to ride an elephant and being a plucky eight-year old I put my hand up and said, ‘Me, me, me,’ she said today.

“I vaguely remember it was supposed to kick footballs. I just remembered getting on it, it running amok and everyone just scattering and me just hanging on.

“I got off and I felt like a bit of a rock star.”

Australian Football Live West Coast Eagles vs Fremantle Dockers JLT Series Stream AFL 2017 Pre Seasons Week 02 match will be kick off at Wonthella Oval Stadium, Wonthella, Western Australia, Australia, Saturday 25 February 2017 online, 15.40 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

A pre-season clash between the Eagles and the Dockers brings AFL footy back to Geraldton on Saturday.

Western Australia’s mid-west population has a strong passion for AFL, with over 10,000 fans having purchased their tickets to sit or stand on the grassed sloped banks at Wonthella Oval.

It is just one week short of 14 years since the last AFL pre-season game was played at the same venue and on that occasion Fremantle took on Richmond.

On that day the temperature peaked at 35.8 degrees Celcius and it was reported the players lost as much as three kilograms of their body weight.

This year, with an extremely warm 37C day forecast, both sides will be able to use an extended bench so they can rotate their full 29-man squads with an option to delay the game’s start time by 30 minutes.

Saturday’s forecast is for a sunny morning, with a 20 per cent chance of a shower or a thunderstorm in the early afternoon.

AFL Live Melbourne Demons vs Carlton Blues Stream AFL JLT Series 2017 Pre Seasons match will be kick off at Casey Fields Stadium, Cranbourne East, Victoria, Australia, Saturday 25 February 2017 online, 14.05 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

For everything that Carlton have already achieved this season, this shapes as their most important match. The Blues kept the Crows goalless in the first half, but were overrun late in what was a disappointing finish. To make matters worse, they lost the influential Brianna Davey with a back injury for this match, while Sarah Last will sit out the rest of the year with a knee injury.

Davey has the second most disposals in the league this year and her loss will be massive. Bianca Jakobsson is the only other Blue inside the top 35 ball winners in the league. The Blues have called in Tahni Nestor and Jessica Kennedy.

The Demons have rebounded superbly from their shock opening round loss to the Lions, knocking off the Bulldogs and Collingwood in the past two weeks. Melbourne took control of last week’s game against the Dogs in the second quarter and helped along by a breakout match from Alyssa Mifsud, who kicked three goals, ran out 14-point winners.

While Mifsud was the headline act, it was the on-ball trio of Daisy Pearce, Elise O’Dea and Karen Paxman who provided the point of difference, combining for 72 possessions. Pearce in particular is franking her reputation as one of the most influential players in the league and she may well lead the Demons to a Grand Final appearance. Aliesha Newman comes into Melbourne’s side for Sarah Jolly.

With no Davey to direct play for the Blues, this shapes as a great opportunity for Melbourne to further build their momentum.

AFL Richmond Tigers vs Adelaide Crows Live Stream Free JLT Series Online 24 Feb 2017

Australian Football Live Richmond Tigers vs Adelaide Crows JLT Series AFL 2017 Pre Seasons Week 02 match will be kick off at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Friday 24 February 2017 online, 19.40 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

AMID the hype of trades for Dion Prestia and Josh Caddy, another Richmond recruiting deal flew under the footy radar — but it could have the biggest impact on the Tigers this year.

The Tigers handed over a third-round draft pick to Sydney late in the October trade period for Tasmanian ruckman Toby Nankervis. The 22-year-old played 12 games in three years at Sydney including last year’s semi-final against Adelaide, and was an emergency for the Grand Final.

But John Longmire’s decision to back Sam Naismith could be Richmond’s gain, with Nankervis in the box seat to become the Tigers’ No.1 ruckman.

With Shaun Hampson battling back issues, Nankervis has impressed in two intra-club games and will lead the ruck division in Friday night’s JLT Series clash against Adelaide.

Nankervis showed in 2016 he can get his hands on the ball at centre bounces — in seven matches, his hitout to advantage rate of 38 per cent was ranked No. 1 in the AFL — and he can be a weapon resting forward — he kicked six goals and took 11 marks in a NEAFL game against Canberra.

But it’s another aspect of his game that has caught the attention of teammates and coaches, and could make him an instant favourite of the Tiger Army.

“He’s a bull, big Toby,” defender David Astbury said on RSN927 on Thursday morning.

“He’s probably not the boom recruit of the footy club during the off-season, but he’s really surprised a lot of people.

“He’s got a lot of vigour. We all love playing with him and we can’t wait to see that showcased.”
