AFL Sydney Swans vs North Melbourne Kangaroos Live Stream Free 2017 JLT Series Online

AFL Live Sydney Swans vs North Melbourne Kangaroos Stream AFL 2017 Pre Seasons match will be kick off at Coffs Harbour International Stadium, New South Wales, Australia, Sunday 19 February 2017 online, 14.05 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Sydney are out to erase their memory of last seasons Grand Final defeat while the Roos will look to fresh new faces to carry their 2017 campaign.

Sydney Key Ins: Shaun Edwards, Sam Reid
Sydney Key Outs: Lance Franklin, Jarrad McVeigh, Kieren Jack, Dane Rampe, Heath Grundy, Aliir Aliir

Surprisingly the Swans have named a fairly competitive side to face the Roos. If past pre seasons are anything to go by, coach Longmire normally selects his weakest side to avoid injuries. It will be great to see Sam Reid back in action for the Swans, if he can stand up in this game without Buddy, his name will be moved into the team for round 1. It’s the start of a new generation at Arden St with no Petrie, Harvey or Firrito wearing the blue and white stripes in 2017. The Wolf is anticipating all players moving around different positions to give Brad Scott a clearer idea of how they want to set up this season. For this reason, the Wolf thinks the Swans should have enough structure to take home the win.

Sydney’s first pick in the 2016 Draft Oliver Florent ($41) makes his club debut in this fixture. He’s a smart user around goals and could be in line to replace the injured Tom Papley in the early rounds of 2017. For the Roos, young Ryan Clarke ($10) played 6 matches last year and averaged 17.5 disposals per game including a 27-disposal effort against Collingwood. With the experience lost in their midfield, the Wolf thinks Clarke is in for a big year and the price of $10 will not be around if Clarke can have 20 or more disposals here.

AFL Western Bulldogs vs Melbourne Demons Live Streaming Free 2017 Online JLT Series

Australian Football Live Western Bulldogs vs Melbourne Demons JLT Series AFL 2017 Pre Seasons match will be kick off at VU Whitten Oval Stadium, Footscray, Victoria, Australia, Saturday 18 February 2017 online, 16.40 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

The Dogs are without captain and key forward Katie Brennan while the Demons have lost Meg Downie, who suffered a heavy headknock but had her season ended by hamstring injury.

The clubs will be playing for the Hampson-Hardeman Cup, named in honour of women’s footy pioneers Barb Hampson and Lisa Hardeman, who developed the first women’s national championships in 1998.

“As well as the occasion of both pioneering teams playing each other, it’s a big game for both of our teams,” Western Bulldogs utility Ellyse Gamble said.

“We’re both on one win and one loss — you really don’t want to lose any more. Melbourne’s a great team … we rate them highly.”

Gamble was an emergency for last September’s exhibition game, when the country’s best female players turned out for Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs.

The Tasmanian was thrilled to remain a Bulldog for AFLW01.

“I was ecstatic to get drafted, but then to get drafted to the Western Bulldogs it was something extra special,” she said.

“I felt more comfortable coming into it and moving to a different state knowing it was the Bulldogs because I had that previous experience and knew some of the staff and players.”

Hardeman is a staunch Western Bulldogs fan and regularly attends training as well as matches.

While Gamble said she doesn’t look at Saturday night’s clash any differently to other games, history would remember the two foundation clubs.

JLT Series GWS Giants vs West Coast Eagles Live Stream Free 18 February 2017 Online

AFL Live GWS Giants vs West Coast Eagles Stream AFL 2017 Pre Seasons match will be kick off at ENarrandera Sports Stadium, NSW, Australia, Saturday 18 February 2017 online, 14.05 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

IT will be a very super Saturday for the GWS Giants with all three of their teams in action for the first time.

Their women’s AFL team will kick the massive day off when they take on the Fremantle Dockers in the AFLW at Blacktown.

Then the men will be in action in Narrandera for the club’s opening match in the JLT Community Series against West Coast.

And finally the Giants’ netballers will kick off the new Super Netball competition when they take on local rivals the NSW Swifts at Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre at 5pm.

It’s a huge undertaking for an organisation which is just five years old. They’ve bitten off three big mouthfuls and are chewing as fast as they can.

CEO David Matthews said it’s a red-letter day for the club.

“Traditionally it’s been a frustrating time of the year for the AFL when you see the other codes getting underway and the AFL starting later,” Matthews said.

“Today you have the AFLW team and the Giants netball team putting the Giants brand at the front of mind at a time when we didn’t have those assets available to us.”

The AFLW team will be looking for their first win after road losses to Adelaide and Carlton. Their mission received a shot in the arm with the return from injury of marquee player Emma Swanson.

“If the girls bring what they brought last week plus some more we can do it,” Swanson said.

“Last week was good but not good enough.”

After the match a group of the Giants AFLW team will then head to Sydney Olympic Park to support their netball team in Sydney’s first derby against the Swifts, although ticketing could be an issue at the sellout event.

AFL Hawthorn Hawks vs Geelong Cats Live Streaming Free 2017 JLT Series 17 February Online

Australian Football Live Hawthorn Hawks vs Geelong Cats Stream JLT Series AFL 2017 Pre Seasons match will be kick off at York Park Stadium, Tasmania, Australia, Friday 17 February 2017 online, 19.40 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

GEELONG is set to unleash a swarm of new faces in its JLT Series opener against Hawthorn tomorrow night.

The Cats have named 10 players who are yet to wear the blue and white hoops in their squad of 29 which will be cut back to 26 today.

Leading names include off-season recruits Zach Tuohy and Aaron Black, top draft selection Brandan Parfitt and rookies Zach Guthrie and Jack Henry.

Guthrie and Henry are both certain starters against the Hawks in Launceston after being told they would make their debut at training yesterday.

“Any time you get an opportunity to play in the senior squad it’s a massive honour. To be playing for an amazing club is a great feeling,” Guthrie said.

“Being under done body (wise), the aim this pre-season was to develop that as much as I could. But to get the recognition is just amazing.

“I just want to enjoy the experience, soak it all up, and help the team as much as I can as well.”

As expected skipper Joel Selwood and brother Scott (toe) will miss, while Lachie Henderson has overcome a calf niggle to be declared fit to play.

Jackson Thurlow will also complete his return from a serious knee injury, playing his first competitive match since rupturing his ACL in the 2016 pre-season.

Henry has impressed this summer but admitted it still hadn’t sunk in that he would be making his debut for the team he supported as a kid.

“I’m so excited, it’s insane, and I’ve always been a Cats fan,” Henry said.

“I’ve put in a lot of work and it’s good to have it pay off. It’s really exciting and quite surreal.

“I’ll probably play across half forward and in the backline, so that will give me a chance at both ends.

“But it’s not about possessions, I just want to play my role and it’s just about playing good team football, so if I do that I’ll be happy.”

Cats champion and assistant coach Corey Enright broke the news to Guthrie that he would be making his debut.

Hawthorn+Hawks+vs+Geelong+Cats+JLTSeries
The pair have worked closely together through the summer with the 18-year-old tapping into Enright’s vast footy brain.

Hawthorn has named a very strong squad for the match with Jarryd Roughead, Shaun Burgoyne and Cyril Rioli the leading names to step out for the first time in 2017.

Guthrie, a small defender, said he would relish the opportunity of guarding the fleet-footed Rioli.

“I’m sure there will be times that I find myself on him,” Guthrie said.

“I’ll just try and do the best job I can on him, being such an exciting player.”

Touk Miller says it would be a mistake to assume the Gold Coast can’t beat West Coast despite the Suns preparing to field a vastly inexperienced team in today’s second NAB Challenge game.

The Suns will rest the majority of their first choice players for the first of three trips to Perth this year while the Eagles will welcome the return of some of their stars.

The Gold Coast are entering their sixth season in the AFL but will boast the most inexperienced team of their history at HBF Arena in Perth.

The Suns boasted 1158 games of combined AFL experience in their first game in 2011 thanks to the likes of Gary Ablett (192), Nathan Bock (113), Jared Brennan (119), Campbell Brown (159), Josh Fraser (200), Jarrod Harbrow (70), Daniel Harris (149), Nathan Krakouer (40), Michael Rischitelli (111) and Danny Stanley (5) who brought experience from other clubs.

That included 12 players who made their debut.

But the extended squad for today’s match only has 913 combined games behind them, despite only six players yet to play an AFL game.

Matt Rosa, Nick Malceski, Rory Thompson, Steven May, Tom Lynch, Tom Nicholls, Kade Kolojashnij and Michael Rischitelli will all be rested.

Harbrow has the most experience in the extended 29-man squad named to play with the 163-game veteran to captain the side.

But rising midfielder Miller said he had no doubt the Suns could beat West Coast for the first time, pointing to last season’s 12.11 (83) to 11.17 (83) draw with the Eagles in Round 18.

“I have never been a doubter. People doubted us last year against West Coast when we had a young team and we ended up producing a draw so it just goes to show that as long as you play your role and do what is required for the team then you’re a chance against any team,” Miller said.

“Going into West Coast we are probably a little bit weaker in experience but everyone is across what we need to do and what we need to get done so we are out there to win.”

Miller said the increased depth and competition for spots at the club meant there was a lot at stake today.

“A lot of people make the mistake of thinking the NAB games are there just to turn up and play and get a bit of form but we are there to actually win,” he said. “With a younger team we want to show what we can do. Everyone is keen to put their name up for Round 1 selection.”

The 20-year-old is only in his second year but after playing all of the club’s 22 games last year Miller is likely to get more responsibility.

“Everyone on the ground has to take on a leadership role but considering I have got a few games under my belt I’d like to think that I’d maybe take on a bit more,” he said.

Both Fremantle and Adelaide are coming off impressive wins in their first NAB Challenge games, with Freo beating Richmond by 60 points while Adelaide comfortably cruised to a 100 point win over West Coast.

It’s the first meeting between the teams since last years round nine classic, and will take place at Sounness Park in Mt Barker on Sunday.

Fremantle 0.14.6.90 def Richmond 0.4.6.30

Freo put forward a strong showing in their first NAB Challenge game, with both experienced players and new faces displaying their capabilities. Lachie Neale led all players with 29 disposals while Nat Fyfe had 18 disposals despite only entering the game in the second half.

Darcy Tucker showed a lot in his first game at the club, and Matthew Pavlich kicked four goals in the win.

Adelaide 2.20.10.148 def West Coast 0.7.6.48

A more experienced Crows outfit comfortably beat the Eagles, with star forward Eddie Betts being the main attraction. Betts kicked six goals, including one super goal in the win whilst also being involved in multiple score involvements due to his swift handball skills.

Tom Lynch and Taylor Walker were handfuls up forward, and combined for 14 marks and five goals.

Stopping Lynch and Jenkins

Without Taylor Walker and Eddie Betts in the Adelaide side, Tom Lynch and Josh Jenkins become the two most likely goal scorers against Freo. Lynch could see time up the ground and will need constant coverage while Jenkins has a monstrous frame and could be destined for Alex Silvagni or Sam Collins.

Defensive Footwork

Freo will look for continued attacking presence from the halfbacks, who impressed in their first game under defence coach Brent Guerra. Tommy Sheridan, Garrick Ibbotson, Stephen Hill and Cameron Sutcliffe all had more than 19 disposals, with each player kicking more than handballing.

Fyfe’s game time

Ross Lyon said post-game after last Friday’s match that he expects Nat Fyfe to have more game time in the Freo’s second NAB Challenge game. Freo fans would hope so, given Fyfe’s 18 disposal impact in only one half of football.

Legendary Carlton coach David Parkin believes a rebooted Carlton has an even worse playing list this year than an Essendon side ravaged by a dozen anti-doping suspensions. But is that really the case?

Some would say yes. Champion Data’s 2016 prospectus found that the Blues, having finished at the foot of the ladder last season, did not have even one “elite” player, with only Marc Murphy and Kade Simpson ranked in the next best category as above average.

By the same token, while those rankings classed Essendon with two, Cale Hooker and Michael Hurley won’t be part of the 2016 campaign, and the Bombers’ four above average listers are all out as well.

In coach Brendon Bolton’s rookie season, 2016 is more about showing intent and development, rather than judging progress on the number of wins.

But that’s probably the case for opposite number John Worsfold as well after the events of last month.

The Bombers had been expected to compete for a top-eight spot until the Court of Arbitration for Sport intervened and handed a year-long suspension to 34 past and current Bombers — including the dozen still at the club — from the 2012 injecting program.

Some believe Essendon might end up with football’s first winless season since 1964. Others are more optimistic of at least a few wins after the boost provided by top-up players such as Ryan Crowley, James Kelly and Matthew Stokes.

As the Blues and Bombers prepare to do battle in the NAB Challenge on Sunday at Princes Park — the first time the clubs have met at the suburban venue since 1992 — which club is better-placed for 2016?

We’ve gone through each area of the ground and given the nod to the Blues, narrowly in a couple of cases, but very decisively in the midfield, arguably the one that matters the most.

After narrowly losing to Sydney with a young side in Blacktown last weekend, the Power will bring an experienced side into Saturday’s clash with the Demons. Melbourne, too, will bring its most experienced line-up to Elizabeth, with former Crow Simon Goodwin to coach the side.

WHERE AND WHEN: Elizabeth Oval, Saturday 1.35pm ACDT

LAST THREE TIMES IN PRE-SEASON GAMES
2011 (Half-game), Melbourne 0.5.6 (36) def Port Adelaide 1.2.6 (27) at AAMI Stadium
2012, Port Adelaide 17.10 (112) d Melbourne 9.10 (64) at AAMI Stadium
2013, Port Adelaide 17.10 (112) d Melbourne 9.10 (64) at Renmark Oval

THE SIX POINTS
1. Port Adelaide has named 13 inclusions to its 29-man squad for Saturday’s game against Melbourne.

2. Melbourne won’t play their two best midfielders Nathan Jones and Bernie Vince.

3. Port Adelaide has only recently played pre-season games against Melbourne – the first in 2011 and in subsequent seasons of 2012 and 2013. All games have been played in South Australia – two at AAMI Stadium and one at Renmark.

4. Simon Goodwin will coach Melbourne this week. This is also the Demons’ first NAB Challenge match of the year.

5. With a vast injection of experience, Port Adelaide potential forward line will see the influx of Robbie Gray, Justin Westhoff, Jay Schulz and Chad Wingard at one end, and Jasper Pittard, Jack Hombsch, Matt Broadbent and Jarman Impey at the other.

6. Port Adelaide last week played a six-man bench and went as close to 90 rotations as possible. Expect the same this weekend.

FINAL WORD
This will give Power fans a very good look at what should be the club’s close-to-Round 1 team.

Star Geelong recruit Patrick Dangerfield will have his first AFL hit-out for the Cats this Friday night when they host Collingwood.

James Aish leads the newcomers in the Magpies’ squad for the match.

Dangerfield was the off-season’s biggest free-agency signing and his move from Adelaide is a key reason why Geelong are so bullish about their 2016 prospects.

He was named in Geelong’s leadership group at their Tuesday night season launch.

Likewise, Aish will add depth and class to Collingwood’s midfield as they try to end their two-year absence from the finals.

Collingwood also recruited Adam Treloar from GWS to boost their on-ball options, but he had off-season surgery and will not play.

The Magpies also left out Jamie Elliott, Tyson Goldsack and Matthew Scharenberg as they recover from injury, while coach Nathan Buckley is unsure when Melbourne recruit Jeremy Howe will be available as he comes back from finger surgery.

Captain Scott Pendlebury, Tom Langdon, Ben Reid, Marley Williams and Travis Cloke are other significant names missing from the Magpies’ squad of 29, which will be trimmed to 26 for the match.

But Dane Swan, Alan Toovey, Steele Sidebottom and Nathan Brown will add some experience. And Darcy Moore will play after a solid pre-season.

The match will feature two acting captains, with Geelong’s Joel Selwood yet to recover from his foot injury.

Jimmy Bartel, Selwood’s brother Scott and Mitch Clark will not play either.

But the Cats named former Carlton player Lachie Henderson, ex-Gold Coast ruckman Zac Smith and fellow recruit Sam Menegola in their squad
