Australian Football League (AFL) Live Melbourne Demons vs North Melbourne Kangaroos match will be kick off at MCG Stadium, Melbourne,Sunday 22 june 2014 online, 16:40 AEDT and its broadcast on Fox Footy.

AFL live Online

North are the hardest team to catch having had recent impressive victories over Richmond, West Coast and Brisbane mixed with disappointing losses to Geelong, Gold Coast and, last weekend, Adelaide. They sit seventh on the ladder and will be desperate to stay in touch with the top four with a win. Melbourne is 14th on the ladder after their come-from-behind win over Essendon

These two sides have not met for over a year when the Pies beat St Kilda by 26 points. Collingwood kicked 10 goals to six after half-time to run out easy winners. Scott Pendlebury was best a field with 28 touches and two goals whilst Travis Cloke kicked four majors. For the Saints, Joey Montagna had 30 disposals and captain Nick Riewoldt kicked four.

North is currently holding an 11-game winning streak over the Dees. Melbourne last beat North in 2006 when Byron Pickett(playing for Melbourne) got the 3 Brownlow votes – Drew Petrie, Brent Harvey and Michael Firrito all played in that game. The Roos have won their last three over the Demons by an average of 72-points. The Demons are 3-5 (5-3 against the line) at the MCG this year. Under Brad Scott, North are 4-4 (5-3 against the line) at the MCG

There’s no reason for Ross Lyon to make too many changes but Anthony Morabito, Brady Grey, Hayden Crozier, Jon Griffin and Kepler Bradley are pushing their claims for Peel Thunder. The Lions could replace Jono Brown with Daniel Merrett with Tom Cutler and Nick Robertson also in contention to come in.

The Lions have won two of their last three games – one in Brisbane and one in Melbourne to climb off the bottom of the ladder. The Dockers have won four in a row and are fifth on the ladder; one game behind Geelong, Sydney and Hawthorn. With West Coast, Melbourne, GWS, St Kilda and Carlton to come in their next five weeks a 10-game winning streak is not beyond them.

Fremantle were never troubled in round 12 last year, cruising to a 40-point victory. It was a low-scoring affair – only 132 points with Michael Barlow leading all comers with 32 touches. David Mundy got the three Brownlow votes with 27 possessions and two goals.

Brisbane is set to welcome back established players Tom Rockliff, Sam Mayes and Joel Patfull. Whilst for the Blues, Mitch Robinson will return from suspension and vice-captain Andrew Carrazzo is a chance to come in too. Utility Dylan Buckley will have to pass a fitness test after being subbed off last week against Adelaide.

Carlton has won four of their last five games including two in a row. The Lions have won only one game all year and have lost two of their last three games by over 13 goals. They sit anchored to the bottom of the ladder with a pitiful percentage of 55%.

Carlton got the better of Brisbane in round 9 last season. Jarrad Waite and Kane Lucas kicked three goals each whilst usual suspects Chris Judd, Brock McLean and Marc Murphy topped the stats sheet. For the Lions, only Simon Black had over 20 disposals and Ryan Bewick kicked three goals.

St Kilda’s injury list and you see that it’s decimated but they look set to welcome back David Armitage from a knee complaint. James Gwilt, Sam Fisher, Sam Gilbert, Tom Hickey and Jarryn Geary are all out. Whilst the Pies will be without defender Nathan Brown who was ruled out for the rest of the year with a shoulder injury – Lachie Keefe looks set to earn a recall to replace him. Whilst Taylor Adams, Patrick Karnezis and Ben Kennedy impressed in the reserves. Ben Reid is still a few weeks away.

After a promising start to the year, the Saints have fallen in a heap having suffered four consecutive losses. They got off to a slow start against the Suns but were competitive in stages before having the bye last week. The Magpies have won five of their last six matches including a gutsy eight point victory over the Eagles last Saturday and sit sixth on the ladder.

Australian Football North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Brisbane Lions Match Live Online Broadcast 17 May

AFL North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Brisbane Lions Game Will be held on Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, 17 May 2014 Time 16: 40 (AEDT).

North look set to welcome back Andrew Swallow from a long absence with an Achilles injury but Daniel Wells will miss with a persistent foot problem. The Lions will have to replace defender Matt Maguire who was suspended with Michael Close and Claye Beams looming as the most likely replacements.

The Roos will be hurting after having a week to mull over a heavy loss to Gold Coast two Sunday’s ago. They have really mixed up their form this year with wins over Port, Sydney (in Sydney) and Fremantle (in Perth) whilst heavy losses to Essendon, Collingwood and the Suns. They’re a tough team to catch but have shown that they bounce back well from defeats. The Lions took it up to Essendon last week but were let down by some basic errors in the final quarter (Ryan Lester’s handball…). They sit last on the ladder with just one win this season.

Tom Rockliff starred for the Lions as they upset North in round 16 last year. The Lions vice-captain had 28 disposals and 11 tackles as he earnt the three Brownlow votes. Youngster Sam Mayes kicked three goals as did Jonathan Brown and Ash McGrath. For the Roos, Drew Petrie slotted five majors whilst Aaron Black and Robbie Tarrant kicked three each.
