AFL Footy West Coast Eagles vs Melbourne Demons Live Streaming Free 2019 Online Week 09

May 16, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

Australian Football League West Coast Eagles vs Melbourne Demons Live Stream Free, AFL 2019 Round 09 Live Stream. West Coast Eagles vs Melbourne Demons match will be kickoff at Optus Stadium, Burswood, Australia, Friday 17 May 2019 online,Time:08:10pm AEST and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

The Demons will be looking for revenge when they travel West to take on the Eagles on Friday night. They’ve won their past two and will be looking to make it three on the spin but standing in their way is an Eagles outfit that boast back-to-back wins of their own!

The Eagles seem to be finding their feet in season 2019 after what was an unexpected slow start by the reigning premiers. They’ve railed off back-to-back wins against the Suns and the Saints to take their season record to 5-3, which has them in seventh spot on the ladder and only one game behind Collingwood in second.

Their most recent game against the Saints was an impressive win for many reasons. It reminded everyone just how well they can play in Melbourne, it showed they don’t have to rely on their big forwards to kicks bags (Kennedy, Darling combined for three goals), and gave us another reason to believe they have one of the most balanced midfields in the league (Gaff, Sheed, Shuey all 27+ touches).

Now with two comfortable wins on the spin, we don’t expect their team list or game style to change too much for at least the next couple of weeks. They’re elite in midfield and defence and have a forward line with a decent spread of goalkickers.

The Demons have looked a much better side than the one that ran out losers to Port Adelaide at home in Round 1. They too have put together consecutive wins, theirs being against the Hawks and the Suns. The Demons record has now improved to 3-5, which has them in 15thspot and one just game outside the top eight.

Demons fans could be excused for biting off all of their fingernails in their five-point win over the Hawks in Round 7. If they managed to hold off in that game, then we’re certain they’ve got none left now after their thrilling one-point win over the Suns last weekend.

More promising signs for Dees fans is that Clayton Oliver (38 disposals, 15 tackles) and Nathan Jones (28 disposals, eight tackles) are starting to find their best form around the ball, while Tom McDonald (three goals) is finally finding the big sticks.

The upcoming meeting at Optus Stadium will be the fifth time in a row the Eagles have hosted the Demons in this match-up. Obviously, the Eagles were far too good in the Preliminary Final last year, but aside from that it’s been a fairly even match-up over the last five games.

Although the Demons have won their last two and seem to be on the up, we still fancy the Eagles being far too strong for them at home, just like they were in the Preliminary Final last year. They’re coming off one of their best performances of the season and have a forward line that is finally starting to clunk marks and kick goals. We have them covering a spread that is just under four goals at the time of writing.

AFL Live Gold Coast Suns vs Melbourne Demons Live Streaming Free 2019 Round 08 Live Stream Online,The AFL match will be kick off at Metricon Stadium, Carrara, Australia, Saturday 11 May 2019 online,Time: 4:35pm AEST and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Few would have predicted that at this stage of the season Gold Coast would have the superior win-loss record over Melbourne. The Suns have won three of their seven games, while the early premiership fancies, Melbourne, have won just two of seven.

However, the Demons head in as favourites and come off a hard fought five point win over Hawthorn. Max Gawn, James Harmes and Clayton Oliver were among the Dees better players in that performance.

On the same weekend, the Gold Coast Suns put in a gallant performance against last year’s premiers, West Coast, at Perth Stadium but eventually went down by 22.

Stuart Dew’s side fought back from 42 points down in that contest and a highlight of the Suns improved showing this season has been their defensive efforts.

They have conceded an average of 82 points per game, which is better than Melbourne’s 96 points per game. The Demons have conceded more points than any other side but were better in this facet of their game last weekend.

The issue for the Suns has been their inability to kick a winning score and they are averaging just 63 points per game. Peter Wright is one of few focal points up forward, while further up the ground, Jarrod Harbrow, Jack Martin and Jarrod Witts loom as key players. Witts takes on Gawn in the ruck.

Gold Coast may regain Izak Rankine and Lachie Wellar from their respective injuries, while Sean Lemmens and Ben King are among those with some good form at the lower level.

Melbourne are set to welcome back Jack Viney after their skipper missed last week with soreness. Steven May and Jake Lever remain on the sidelines but are edging closer towards a return.

Melbourne have won nine of the 12 games between the two sides, including the last six. Those wins have come at an average margin of 50 points.

Last year it was a 96 point win by the Demons at the MCG in round 20. The two sides had earlier clashed at the GABBA, where Melbourne won by 69.

There have been just the two games between the two sides at Metricon and those have been split at one win apiece.

Melbourne will take confidence out of their win last weekend and if they can get their running game going they will be hard to beat.

Watch Melbourne Demons vs Hawthorn Hawks Live Streaming Free AFL 2019 Round 07

May 3, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

AFL Live Melbourne Demons vs Hawthorn Hawks Live Streaming Free 2019 Round 07 Live Stream Online,The AFL match will be kick off at Melbourne Cricket Ground, East Melbourne, Australia, Saturday 04 May 2019 online, 1.45pm AEST and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

The two sides experienced contrasting fortunes in week one of the AFL Finals Series. Hawthorn fronted up to the premiership favourites, Richmond, in the Qualifying Final and were outclassed by 31 points.

Just 24 hours later, Melbourne bumped Geelong out of the September action by taking out the Elimination Final by 29 points. That was the Demons first final since 2006, helping to ease the pain for their fans that have endured a decade in the doldrums.

Melbourne are this year’s ‘fairytale’ side and will be trying to tread the path that the Western Bulldogs followed in 2016 as well as Richmond last year. They have been posted as $1.48 favourites in the early betting markets for the clash against Hawthorn, while the Hawks are $2.65 outsiders.

However, Hawthorn fans can look to history as sides that finished inside the top four generally have a good record in the Semi Finals. Alistair Clarkson’s side finished the home and away season in 4th position with 15 wins, one win ahead of the Demons, who finished 5th. They won six games prior to their loss over Richmond, while Melbourne have now won three on the trot.

The Hawks also have a huge advantage in finals experience over their Melbourne counterparts, although this didn’t help Geelong last weekend.

Expect the Demons to get the upper hand in the middle of the ground. Over the course of the season they ranked on top for contested possessions and hitouts, while the were 3rd for clearances. Hawthorn were 12th, 6th and 10th in these measures.

Max Gawn will give Melbourne the first use of the ball with his sublime work in the ruck, while we can expect the likes of Clayton Oliver, Angus Brayshaw and Jack Viney to find plenty of it for the Dees.

That trio take on Hawthorn’s Tom Mitchell, Jaegar O’Meara and Liam Shiels in the middle of the ground. Mitchell is the competition’s leading ball getter and may find himself up against James Harmes, who thwarted Geelong’s Joel Selwood last weekend.

Other key battles occur at either end of the ground. Luke Breust, Jack Gunston and Jarryd Roughead should enjoy a bit more freedom than what they did against Richmond last weekend but they will still need to lift on that performance.

At the other end, Melbourne will need to find a way to counteract Hawthorn’s defensive set up. They were unable to do this earlier in the year but Sam Weideman, Tom McDonald and Jake Melksham are in good form up forward and can pose some problems for the Hawks back six.

Hawthorn are set to lose Ben Stratton to a hamstring injury. David Mirra is the likely replacement for the premiership defender. Taylor Duryea is another that will be considered and was pulled from the VFL game last Sunday for Box Hill.

Melbourne reported no injuries out of the Geelong game and aren’t expected to make too many changes to the lineup that registered the Demons first finals win in over a decade.

Melbourne have beaten Hawthorn just once since 2006 with that victory coming late in 2016 when Paul Roos was at the helm of the club. Hawthorn have won the past two games between the two sides, including the Round 4 encounter this season by 67 points.

In that game, Melbourne got off to a flying start but were dismal after quarter time. Luke Breust booted four for the winners, while Liam Shiels and Jaegar O’Meara combined for 57 disposals. Max Gawn was Melbourne’s best, registering 66 hitouts.

The two sides have not faced each other in a final since 1990, when Melbourne scored a nine point Elimination Final win. In games at the MCG this season, Hawthorn are seven wins from 10 games, while Melbourne are six from 12.

This shapes as another finals classic. Melbourne will need to ensure that they do not get ahead of themselves and we can not underestimate Hawthorn. The Hawks can bounce back from their defeat last weekend and represent value at the line.

AFL Melbourne Demons vs Essendon Bombers Live Stream Free 2019 Online Week 03

April 4, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

Australian Football League Melbourne Demons vs Essendon Bombers Live Stream Free, AFL 2019 Round 03 Live Stream. Melbourne Demons vs Essendon Bombers match will be kickoff at Melbourne Cricket Ground, East Melbourne, Australia, Friday 05 April 2019 online, 19:50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Melbourne Demons and Essendon Bombers are two teams which have not any points in 2019. Both teams lost 2 of 2 starting matches and need to the first victory, but who can win this game? Let’s try to understand.

Melbourne Demons were 5th in 2018 and have 6 wins and 5 loses in 11 home games. Essendon Bombers have 5/6 and 20 points in away games in 2018.

Both teams aren’t in their best conditions now and this 4 points will be important for both.

This match will be at Melbourne’s home stadium and this is main thing why I will bet for the Demons.

Who would have envisioned this round three matchup being of such high importance? With both the Essendon Bombers and Melbourne Demons winless this year (each having an average losing margin of over 40 points), that is exactly what this contest is.

While the loser still has a chance of playing finals (Sydney made September with an 0-6 start a couple of years ago), any hopes of a top-four berth will almost surely be gone.

Not since 1966 have Essendon started a season 0-3, but after their very ordinary effort last week, that is what lays ahead without sharp improvement. The upside for coach John Worsfold is that the club has a fairly short injury list. As such, expect changes in personnel to be made.

With a number of Demon players having had reduced training during the off-season, there was concern the club would start the year slow. However, kicking just six goals from 72 inside 50s last week was simply dreadful. Are they missing Jesse Hogan more than anticipated?

One upside for them is that when playing as a home ‘favourite’, Melbourne have won 14 of their last 20 matches in addition to winning the last two H2H matches by more than a -15.5 point handicap (victories of 36 and 38).

Players to watch: In the opening two rounds of the season, Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti (Bombers) has had a total of 12 disposals and gone goalless. Is this his last chance?

The last time these two teams met, Max Gawn (Demons) collected 42 hitouts and kicked two goals, earning a clear ‘best on ground’ performance. He has been heavily criticised this week for his slow start to the season, so expect him to come out fired up.

Stat attack: Melbourne average just 63 marks a match this year compared to Essendon’s 83.

Essendon have failed to cover the closing spread in both of their matches this season.
So far in 2019, Melbourne average nine more centre clearances a match than Essendon (16-7).

The last three H2H matches played at the MCG have produced a final margin of under 15.5 points.

Extremely tough match to get a read on here. It pretty much boils down to who has been the least disappointing thus far, coupled with who has the most upside. For us, we believe the ball is in the Bombers court. We believe the Demons struggles stem from their fitness, or lack thereof. The shorter + limited pre-season for a large portion of their players has left them gassed in the second half of both matches this season. On the flip side, the Bombers have simply not been playing well. However, what we’ve seen from them over the past couple of seasons is that they can play bad one week and absolutely dominate the next. For these reasons, we’re happy to take the Bombers with a 15.5-point start.

AFL Week 02 Geelong Cats vs Melbourne Demons Live Streaming Free 2019 Online 30 March

March 29, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

Australian Football League Geelong Cats vs Melbourne Demons Live Stream Free, AFL 2019 Round 02 Live Stream. Geelong Cats vs Melbourne Demons match will be kickoff at GMHBA Stadium, South Geelong, Australia, Saturday 30 March 2019 online, 19:25 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

The two sides had contrasting results in AFL Round 1 and the action gets underway at 7.25PM. The game will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy.

Geelong were stirring winners over Collingwood in AFL Round 1, defeating last year’s Grand Finalists by seven points in a tight tussle at the MCG.

The same cannot be said for Melbourne, who were on the receiving end of one of a number of upsets in the opening round, going down to Port Adelaide by 26.

Heading into the season, the Demons were expected to be one of the major contenders for the 2019 flag and it will be interesting to see if they can bounce back.

Max Gawn comes off a relatively quite game in the ruck but should be able to exert some influence, while Nathan Jones, Jack Viney and Clayton Oliver are other players that need to lift on their output.

The Cats unveiled a number of young players that showed plenty of promise against Collingwood and their enthusiasm rubbed off on the likes of Tim Kelly, Patrick Dangerfield and Gary Ablett, who were outstanding. That trio should give Geelong the upper hand in what shapes as a massive game for both clubs.

Steven May is set to play his first game for Melbourne after missing Round 1 due to suspension. Brayden Preuss may come in to give Max Gawn some relief in the ruck but will need to pass a fitness test.

Geelong don’t have too many fitness concerns and may head in unchanged. Zac Smith is a chance to come back into the side.

Geelong have an excellent record over Melbourne but it was the Demons that fired in last year’s Elimination Final, taking out that encounter by 29 points. Clayton Oliver was one of the stars for the Demons, while Sam Weideman booted three majors in that game. Gary Ablett was Geelong’s best.

The Cats had won 14 of 15 games against the Demons prior to that, including a stunning after-the-siren victory in Round 18 last year. They have won eight of their past nine against the Demons in Geelong.

AFL Melbourne Demons vs Port Adelaide Power Live Stream Free 2019 Online

March 22, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

Australian Football League Melbourne Demons vs Port Adelaide Power Live Stream Free, AFL 2019 Round 01 Live Stream. Melbourne Demons vs Port Adelaide Power match will be kickoff at Melbourne Cricket Ground, East Melbourne, Australia, Saturday 23 March 2019 online, 13:45 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Melbourne have been posted as favourites for what is the third game of the AFL home and away season and come off a spectacular 2018 that saw them end a long drought by playing finals for the first time since 2006.

Simon Goodwin’s side won 14 of their 22 games last year to qualify in 5th position before winning two finals en route to exiting in the Preliminary Final against the eventual premiers, Richmond.

Port Adelaide fell away in the latter half of the season and slipped out of the eight, finishing in 10th with 12 wins.

In the recent JLT Community Series, the Power won one of their two games, while Melbourne went winless. The Demons lost tight games to Richmond and Brisbane, while Port lost to Adelaide before accouting for North Melbourne.

Despite their pre-season form, Melbourne do look to have an advantage. Max Gawn can get on top in the ruck against Scott Lycett and Paddy Ryder, while the Demons fleet of midfielders should gain the advantage at the clearances.

A slight concern for Melbourne is their defence at the moment and they will be without a couple of key players in this part of the ground. Robbie Gray and Justin Westhoff can capitalise up forward for the Power and if that pair fire then the visitors can spring a surprise.

Melbourne will be without the suspended Steven May, while Mitch Hannan and Jake Lever are among those that are sidelined by injury. Marty Hore is a likely debutant.

Port Adelaide will miss Charlie Dixon and Ollie Wines. Ryan Burton, Zak Butters, Xavier Duursman, Scott Lycett and Connor Rozee are the new faces that have either arrived from other clubs or are via the draft.

Melbourne have won just two of their last 10 against Port Adelaide and went down to the Power by 10 points the last time the two sides met. That was at the Adelaide Oval in Round 14 last year.

The Demons won by 23 points the last time the two sides squared off at the MCG and that was in Round 18 of 2017. Melbourne won seven of their 13 games at the venue last year. Port ventured to the home of footy on two occasions for one win and one loss.

Players List:

AFL Richmond Tigers vs Melbourne Demons Live Stream Free 2019 Online JLT Series

March 2, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

AFL Live Richmond Tigers vs Melbourne Demons Live Streaming Free 2019 JLT Live Stream Online,The AFL match will be kick off at Deakin Reserve, Shepparton, Victoria, Australia, Sunday 03 March 2019 online, 16:40 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Richmond will field a mix of familiar and fresh faces against Melbourne in the opening round of the JLT Community Series at Deakin Reserve, Shepparton this Sunday.

Spearheaded by skipper Trent Cotchin, a strong squad of 30 has been named for the clash, featuring 17 players who lined up against Collingwood in last year’s preliminary final.

Three draftees, Riley Collier-Dawkins, Jack Ross and Fraser Turner, are in contention to play their first game in the yellow and black after impressing at last Saturday’s intraclub contest.

After taking part in the AFLX tournament last week, Jack Riewoldt, Alex Rance and Jack Higgins will pull their Richmond guernseys back on to face the Dees.

Missing from the squad are premiership players Shaun Grigg (knee), Josh Caddy (ankle) and Jason Castagna (ankle). While recruit Tom Lynch (knee) has also been held back from the match.

THE top four in Richmond’s best and fairest last year had the usual suspects; Dustin Martin, Alex Rance and Trent Cotchin.
But there was one name that was anything but usual; Kane Lambert. And how fitting that was, given his unusual path to AFL stardom.

A third-placed finish in a premiership side’s club champion award announced Lambert to the footy world as a name we needed to be paying more attention to. And now in 2018, that attention might see Lambert elevated into the ranks of the game’s elite.

As the Tigers downed North Melbourne in their final pre-season hitout before they open the season against Carlton on March 22, it was Lambert who caught the eye of the Fox Footy commentary team.

Lambert bagged three goals in a second quarter burst that helped Richmond pull away from the Kangaroos; and it saw him draw plenty of praise.

“He’s probably not a name that jumps off the list as one of your top players, but he’s so important to this team because of the things he does,” Brisbane champion Alastair Lynch said.

“His contested ball, his tackling, he’s second at Richmond for goal assists. He typifies Richmond and the way they played last year.”

Lambert was uber-consistent last season. After a slow start, he recorded 20 disposals or more in every game after Round 5 bar just three.

That consistency went to another level in the last four games of the season — disposal totals of 21, 24, 23 and 22 in Round 23 and the three finals wins, plus one goal in each final too.

We talk about the sustained success of teams — Brisbane, Geelong and then Hawthorn. You can’t just have six superstars. You’ve got to have up to 10 or 11 guys who are A-graders,” Geelong premiership player Cameron Mooney said on Fox Footy.

“And this is a guy that’s going to put himself into that A-grade bracket by the end of the year.”

It’s high praise — but Lambert is a player who has already made massive leaps in a short period of time.

After all, 1096 draft picks came and went before Richmond finally picked him up in the 2015 rookie draft. In his first and second seasons he was in and out of the side, to the point that Tigers assistant and Port Adelaide premiership coach Mark Williams had a backhanded compliment of a nickname for him.

Semi-finals week is always a bit strange. Despite being the lower-ranked team, it often feels like the side coming off a win have more going for them.

For a long while that was little more than wishful thinking. Between 2008 and 2013 every team that finished in the top four played off in a preliminary final.

Since 2014, however, things have changed, with four of the eight semi-final winners being teams that finished in the bottom half of the eight.

Last year was a return to the norm for the sides with a double chance, but given how close this season has been, it’s fair to believe at least one of the Demons or Giants will find themselves in the final four.

According on the bookies Melbourne are heavy favourites to reach their first preliminary final since 2000 and hand the Hawks their fourth straight finals defeat.

It’ll take quite a turnaround from the last meeting between these sides for those things to happen. When they last met back in Round 4, the Hawks handed the Demons a 67-point hiding – Melbourne’s heaviest defeat since 2016.

Hawthorn cut the Dees up on turnovers that day, getting 77 points from takeaways – the second most Melbourne conceded in any game this year behind only their head-scratching loss to the Saints – and also dominated the stoppages, winning the count 56-38 and outscoring Melbourne 32-14 from clearances. It was a hiding in every sense as the Hawks knocked off the Demons for the 15th time in 16 games.

The stoppage numbers were slightly surprising, given Melbourne finished the season as the No.1 scoring team from stoppages at 35.6 points a game, but they were 10th for points against, giving up 29.5 points from stoppages.

Hawthorn, on the other hand, were only 14th for points for (26) but were No.1 for points against at just 26 points a game.

The ruck battle should be fascinating. Max Gawn is the best tap ruckman in the competition, but it’s his marking ability that sets him apart from most of his rivals.

This is the second last game of the home and away season and the result will place together the final pieces of the puzzle that is the make up of the top eight.

The winner of this contest will most likely end up in 5th position on the ladder and gain a home final, while the loser will slip to 7th and a road trip in week one of the finals series.

If Melbourne lose and Geelong win by at least six goals against the Gold Coast, the Demons will slip to 8th, meaning that the two sides could play each other again in a fortnight.

Both sides had varying fortunes in Round 22. Melbourne finally defeated a top eight side, registering a confidence and character building victory against the West Coast Eagles in Perth.

The 17 point victory effectively booked Melbourne what will be their first finals appearance since 2006, a massive relief to their long suffering fans, who watched on in agonising fashion last year when the Demons just missed out.

On the same weekend, GWS suffered a 20 point loss to their cross-town rivals, Sydney, in a game where the Giants simply ran out of steam after a couple of their key players were cut down by injury.

The Round 23 fixture between Melbourne and GWS sees a couple of the competition’s A-grade midfield lineups square off against one another. Despite their injuries, GWS rank similarly to the Demons in a number of statistical measures and are 3rd in the competition for contested possessions, while they are 1st for clearances. Melbourne are 1st and 3rd in these areas respectively. However, the Demons top the competition for hitouts and scoring.

Max Gawn is one player that should have a massive influence for Melbourne. The ruckman is just about a lock for All-Australian selection, while Clayton Oliver, Angus Brayshaw and Nathan Jones are other players that should provide the Demons with plenty of supply up forward.

For the Giants, Dylan Shiel, Callan Ward and Stephen Coniglio should be able to match motors with the Demons in the midfield but the absence of a number of key big men does not help their cause.

Melbourne have no injuries out of the West Coast game and are likely to remain unchanged. Jack Viney is still a couple of weeks away. Josh Wagner and Tom Bugg have some solid form at VFL level.

GWS may be without both Phil Davis and Ryan Griffen after that pair went down in the loss to Sydney last weekend. Toby Greene will also miss but Josh Kelly is expected to return.

The two sides have met on 10 occasions and the ledger is split at five wins apiece. Last year, GWS claimed the Round 20 Spotless Stadium clash by 15 points but in Round 2 it was Melbourne by two points at the MCG.

Melbourne have won three of the four games between the two sides at the MCG but have lost six of their 10 hitouts at the venue this season. GWS have ventured to the home of footy just once in 2018 for a win over Collingwood in Round 2.

West Coast come off a stunning win over Port Adelaide in Round 21 after Jeremy McGovern booted a goal after the siren to hand his side a four point win over Port Adelaide.

That victory meant that the Eagles finished the round in 2nd position on the ladder and a win here will mean that they will lock in a home final in the first week of the finals series.

On the same weekend, Melbourne went down to the Sydney Swans by nine points and that loss continued the Demons winless streak against sides in the top half of the ladder. Simon Goodwin’s side are 0-7 against the top nine teams.

They are currently 7th on the ladder and with a game to follow against GWS they are in danger of falling out of the eight. Inaccuracy cost them in the loss to Sydney as they had 28 scoring shots to 22.

Statistically, Melbourne rank higher than West Coast in a number of measures. They are 2nd for total disposals, while West Coast are 16th and they are 3rd for clearances, compared to 12th.

Clayton Oliver, Angus Brayshaw and Dom Tyson should find plenty of the footy and we can expect Max Gawn to have an influence in the ruck in the absence of his Eagles counterpart, Nic Natanui.

However, the dominance in those numbers has not always translated to a win for the Demons. West Coast are a strong marking side and even without Natanui and possibly Josh Kennedy, they can get on top in the air.

Last week’s match winner, Jeremy McGovern, is one that will need to be contained as well as Jack Darling, who was quiet in the win over the Power but has booted 38 goals from his 16 appearance this season.

An upset win for Melbourne will see them safely into the September action and possibly as high as 4th at the end of the round but a loss will leave them clinging on to their spot in the eight and needing to win in Round 23.

West Coast aren’t expected to make too many changes but Hamish Brayshaw, Jake Waterman and Brayden Ainsworth are among those that are knocking on the door. Josh Kennedy is expected to miss another match.

Melbourne will be without Jayden Hunt after the running defender hurt his calf last weekend but Michael Hibberd is rated a chance of returning. Max Gawn battled with a corked calf in the Swans loss but is expected to be ok.

West Coast have won 10 of the past 11 games between the two sides but the last time they met it was Melbourne in a three point thriller at Domain Stadium in Perth. That clash was in Round 14 of 2017 and it was Tom McDonald that sealed the victory with a late goal.

Melbourne are yet to play at Perth Stadium and will need to be at their best as West Coast are building up a nice record at the venue, winning nine of their 11 games there. Melbourne have ventured interstate on six occasions in 2018 and have come away with a very respectable five wins.

This game is huge for Melbourne but it is hard to ignore their record this season against quality opposition, while West Coast have been excellent at their new home ground.
