AFL Finals Port Adelaide Power vs West Coast Eagles Live Streaming Free 2017 Online

Australian Football League Live Port Adelaide Power vs West Coast Eagles Live Stream Free, AFL 2017 Seasons Finals Week 1 Stream. Port Adelaide Power vs West Coast Eagles match will be kickoff at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, SA, Australia, Saturday 09 September 2017 online, 19:50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Both sides sit with a win-loss record of 8-6. Port Adelaide’s superior percentage places them in 5th position, two spots above the West Coast, who are 7th.

However, the Power are yet to defeat a top eight side this season and come off a 13 point loss to Richmond at the Adelaide Oval last weekend, while on the same day, West Coast overcame the premiers from last year, the Western Bulldogs, by seven points at Etihad Stadium.

Port Adelaide lead the Eagles in a number of key statistical measures in 2017, including contested possession, clearances and points scored but have been labelled ‘pretenders’ in the wake of the Tigers loss as they have been unable to put a number of sides away this year.

Ken Hinkley’s side were wasteful in front of goal last weekend and can ill afford another display against West Coast, who can be ruthless at their home ground of Domain Stadium.

The Eagles have won five from seven at Domain with their two losses coming by small margins. They were rolled by GWS in Round 10 by eight points at the venue, while Melbourne scrambled a late goal in Round 14 to hand the Eagles a three point loss. Port have won three from six when travelling interstate in 2017.

Key players for the Power include Chad Wingard, Robbie Gray, Ollie Wines and Paddy Ryder. Ryder has been in career best form and is one of the best in the business in the ruck.

However, his opposite number, Nathan Vardy, has been one of the real improvers this season and should be full of confidence after kicking the sealer against the Dogs last weekend.

Vardy’s side will also need big efforts from the likes of Andrew Gaff and Sam Mitchell in the middle, as well as Jeremy McGovern down back. The tall defender ranks 2nd in the competition for contested marks, while Port Adelaide’s Charlie Dixon leads this category. Dixon will likely be taken by Tom Barrass, allowing McGovern the freedom to go for his grabs.

The winner of this game will advance to nine wins, gaining some breathing space for spots within the eight. while the pressure will be on the loser, who will be back amongst the bottleneck.

Port Adelaide are currently in fifth position, one game behind fourth placed Richmond and can surpass the Tigers, should that side slip up against St Kilda. However, Sydney loom as a threat and the Swans are just 0.4 of a percent behind the Power.

The Swans take on Carlton and can bridge this gap with a winning margin that is about four goals superior to Port’s result. They take on the Blues earlier on Saturday, while Richmond play on Sunday.

On current form, Port should have no trouble in accounting for the Gold Coast. The Suns season has spiralled and they have lost their past seven matches. Their former coach, Rodney Eade, was sacked a fortnight ago and caretaker coach, Dean Solomon, has overseen a 58-point loss to Brisbane and a 33-point defeat to Essendon in the two weeks since.

The Power have won three of their past four and have toyed with a number of interstate sides throughout the year at the Adelaide Oval. A strength has been their fast scoring and they rank second in the competition for points scored in 2017.

Look for Charlie Dixon to have an impact against his former side, while Robbie Gray and Chad Wingard should also provide Suns defenders plenty of headaches. The Power also enjoy the services of the All-Australian candidate, Paddy Ryder, who has been one of the best ruckman in the competition this year.

For Gold Coast to produce an unlikely upset they will need massive games from the likes of Steven May, Tom Lynch and Pearce Hanley. May will probably line up on Dixon but the Suns lack of depth around the ground should prove telling.

They rank lower in a number of key measures, including contested possession and clearances, while injuries have also taken a toll. The interest in this one may just centre around the margin and whether or not the Power can position themselves above Sydney.

Port Adelaide are set to regain Jasper Pittard from injury, while Jack Hombsch, Aaron Young and Jackson Trengove will be considered. Tom Jonas misses with suspension.

The Gold Coast will include Gary Ablett, if the former Brownlow Medallist is finally able to get over his hamstring injury. If Ablett does get up in time it is widely tipped to be his last game at the Suns, with a move to his former club, Geelong, on the cards.

Port Adelaide have won seven of the eight games between the two sides. Their only loss was way back in 2011, the first time the two sides met. That encounter was the first ever win for the Gold Coast, who joined the league at the start of 2011.

Earlier this year, the Power and the Suns featured in a history making game in China and it was the Port that were way too strong, taking out the Round 8 clash by 72 points. Travis Boak and Chad Winged were prominent that day, while Aaron Hall was the Suns best.

Western Bulldogs vs Port Adelaide Power match will be kickoff at Eureka Stadium, Ballarat, VIC, Australia, Saturday 19 August 2017 online, 13:45 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide break new ground on Saturday when AFL footy heads to Ballarat for the first time – and Mars Stadium will play host to a key with plenty of significance.

The game gets underway at 1.45pm AEST and will be broadcast on Fox Footy, while AFL Live Vision is also available to ALL CrownBet members. Every Match, wherever you are.

Ballarat has never staged an AFL game before but the inaugural fixture couldn’t be a better one with both the Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide chasing a victory for different reasons.

Reigning premiers the Bulldogs, for whom the game is a home one, sit in ninth spot on the ladder knowing they need a win to set up a last round race for a finals spot.

The Bulldogs dropped out of the top eight last weekend when going down to GWS Giants and will be bidding to bounce back in the penultimate game of the home and away season.

Power, meanwhile, are not yet assured off their place in the finals, but the sixth place side are eyeing up a possible double chance with fourth spot in their sights.

Port Adelaide were too good for Collingwood at home last weekend, but now must back that up on the road against a Dogs side who have been troublesome to overcome in the past.

It couldn’t be bigger for the fans in Ballarat and a classic is in store on Saturday afternoon.

Jason Johannisen returns to the Bulldogs side and Dale Morris also comes back in with the suspended Jack Redpath and Mitch Wallis the absentees.

Port Adelaide make three changes including a debut for Todd Marshall. Sam Powell-Pepper comes back after being rested and Riley Bonner is also named. Jasper Pittard misses out through injury, while Brendon Ah Chee and Jarman Impey are left out.

Port Adelaide have won just three of their last six and while they remain fifth on the ladder with an 11-8 record, they are just a single win off 11th position. The Power were hammered in the Showdown last week and have been held to 65 points or fewer in their last three. The Power now rank fourth in scoring and third in defence.

Collingwood have found some form recently, not losing in any of their last four. They enter this off their biggest win of the year, a 54-point thrashing of North Melbourne. Collingwood have posted 100-plus in three of their last four. They are 12th on the ladder with an 8-10-1 record with the eighth ranked attack and 11th rated defence.

Port Adelaide head into Sunday’s clash with Collingwood with a point to prove following last week’s defeat to rivals Adelaide Crows.

The Power failed to fire in the Showdown as the Crows ran out 84-point winners and that loss could have serious consequences for the club’s top 8 ambitions.

It is now only three wins from the last six games and, although they sat fifth on the ladder heading into the round, the congested standings mean they are just one result from dropping out of the finals spots.

Will they recover from last week’s no-show – which was the biggest ever defeat in Showdown history, or will it prove a headache at the wrong point in the season?

Collingwood are unbeaten in the last four, a run which includes a draw with the Crows, and will have gained confidence from the comfortable victory over North Melbourne last week.

It has all been a little too late for the Magpies, however, but given their form they can take the fight to the Power, who have won the last three head to heads between the sides.

It is no surprise that Port Adelaide make changes. One is enforced with Jack Hombasch out with a hip injury, while Sam Pepper-Powell is rested. Aaron Young, Angus Monfries and Jackson Trengrove are dropped with Dan Houston, Dougal Howard, Chad Wingard, Jacke Neade and Brendon Ah Chee coming in.

Collingwood lose Brodie Grundy to suspension and Daniel Wells and Levi Greenwood to injury. Mason Cox, Callum Brown and James Aish are the replacements.

Adelaide sit top-of-the-table with a 13-4-1 record. The Crows have the best attack in the AFL while they rank fourth defensively. Adelaide had won four straight before drawing with Collingwood last weekend. Adelaide have scored 100-plus in six of their last 10 outings. The Crows are 8-2 at the Adelaide Oval this year.

Port Adelaide are fifth on the ladder yet have the best defence in the AFL and the third-ranked attack. The Power have an 11-7 record. Port have won five of their last seven and enter this off a 63-61 win over St Kilda. Port have been kept to 65 or fewer in their last two and three of their last five. Port have not conceded more than 88 in seven straight.

Port Adelaide were scintillating in their first half demolition of Hawthorn last weekend. The Power could simply do nothing wrong as they hammered the reigning premiers. At one stage before half time they held a lead of 58 points before coming to a stop in the second half, eventually hanging on to win by eight points.

Adelaide’s brilliant start to the season came crashing down last weekend when they went down in an upset loss to the Western Bulldogs by 58 points. The Doggies caught the Crows by surprise, and played some hard running and attacking football, not too dissimilar to Port Adelaide’s style.

The Power will employ similar tactics this weekend, that is, take the game on with rapid movement and in doing so, not allow the Crows to set up their defensive press.

Port’s runners, including Travis Boak, Hamish Hartlett and Brad Ebert were at their best against the Hawks last week and it will be interesting to see if they can sustain it again this weekend after what has been a tough four weeks for the Power.

Adelaide are not without their stars in the midfield either and the battle between the respective on-ball division should be a beauty. Patrick Dangerfield and Rory Sloane are both in All-Australian form, as is Brodie Smith who is offering plenty of rebound from half back.

A key battle will also be in the ruck. Sam Jacobs dominated the last time these two sides played but Matthew Lobbe and Patrick Ryder formed a formidable combination last weekend and had the better of the Hawks big men.

Port Adelaide are fifth on the ladder with a 10-7 record. They do, however, have the best defence in the AFL and rank second in scoring. Port enter this off a loss to Melbourne but have not lost two straight since Round 4. The Power have won four of their last six. Port have scored 120-plus in three of their last six.

St Kilda have fallen to 11th on the ladder with a 9-8 record. The Saints rank 11th in scoring and 12th in defence. St Kilda have lost their last two after winning four on end, briefly slipping into the Top 8 before falling back out. The Saints have been held to 60 or fewer in their last four losses. St Kilda have conceded 100-plus in their last two.

Both sides are precariously placed on the ladder with just one win separating them. St Kilda have won nine of 17 games this season, while the Power have notched up 10 victories.

However, it is the home side that head in as firm favourites. The Power have made a habit of belting their opposition at their home ground this season and return to the venue for the first time since knocking over North Melbourne by 70 points a fortnight ago.

Since then, they were disappointing when dropping their Round 18 clash to Melbourne at the MCG by 23 points, however, their opposition, St Kilda have battled in the last fortnight, going down to Essendon by 61 points at Etihad Stadium in Round 17 and then Sydney in Round 18 by 42 points.

The Saints are notoriously poor travellers and deserve the underdog tag but if they bring their best form they are in with a chance. They have been brilliant in a number of their wins this season and there is plenty to play for with spots up for grabs inside the eight.

Their coach, Alan Richardson, will need to find a way for his players to stop Port’s key players in Paddy Ryder and Robbie Gray, while he will be hoping his forwards can get more supply than what they did against Sydney.

The Saints managed just the five goals until three-quarter time against the Swans and a similar slow start will see them struggled, particularly against the Power, who rank 2nd in the competition for scoring this season.

One of the big games of AFL Round 18 will be when the Melbourne Demons take on Port Adelaide at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

Port Adelaide have been posted as slight favourite’s in the early betting and sit in 4th position on the ladder, three spots clear of 7th placed Melbourne.

The South Australian outfit have won four of their past five matches and come off a 70 point win over North Melbourne.

Their opponents for this weekend’s encounter, Melbourne, are managing a host of injuries to key players and lost by 46 points to the Adelaide Crows in Round 17. The Demons have dropped two of their past three.

Once again, they will have to do it without their key midfield contributors in Jack Viney and Nathan Jones. They will need big performances from Clayton Oliver and Jordan Lewis.

The Dees head into a Port Adelaide unit that are full of confidence, with a host of players in good form. Chad Wingard, Brad Ebert and Ollie Wines should find plenty of the footy, while Paddy Ryder takes on the Dees’ Max Gawn in the ruck.

Both sides rank well in a number of statistical measures this season and the result may just hinge on the team that takes their chances. Port have been a tad inaccurate in front of the big sticks at times this season, which has cost them.

There is also some school of though that the Power haven’t really claimed any major scalps this season. They have bullied some of the lower ranked sides in the competition and their win-loss record against sides that are currently ranked 1-10 on the ladder is just 2-6. Melbourne on the other hand are 5-4 against those sides.

The Demons have a relatively poor record at the MCG this season, however, and are 3-4 at the home of footy, while Port have had one game at the venue in 2017 for an easy win over Collingwood.

Port Adelaide will take on North Melbourne at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon with the Power looking to stay in the top 4.

Port Adelaide leapt into the top-four of the ladder after a memorable 32-point win over the West Coast Eagles at Domain Stadium. The win jumped the Power into fourth spot.

After the scores were locked at 10.8 (68) a piece at three quarter time, the Power stormed home 8.4 to 3.2 in the final quarter to defeat the Eagles. Led by star ruckman Paddy Ryder and spearhead Charlie Dixon’s five goals, the Power stamped themselves as genuine contenders in this wide-open 2017 premiership race.

Fremantle held on for a heart-stopping four-point win over North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium in frantic scenes. In the dying seconds Todd Goldstein, looked set to steal the win for North when he received a free kick 25m from goal after being held in a ruck contest.

Freo dodged a bullet when the Roos ruckman pulled his set shot to the right and hung on for a 86-82 win that broke a five-game losing streak with the defeat leaving North stuck in 17th spot on the ladder.

Port Adelaide make one change with Logan Austin replacing Jack Hombasch. Defender Matthew Broadbent will be have to wait another week before a possible return from an ankle injury.

Cameron Zurhaar comes into the North Melbourne side for his debut with Trent Dumont left out of the Roos side in the only change from last weekend.

History points towards a Kangaroos’ victory. They have won 21 of the 31 games they have played against the Power. It’s been closer since 2011, with the Kangaroos winning four games to three.

This is the first Adelaide Oval clash between the sides. North Melbourne hasn’t enjoyed playing at the venue so far though having lost all four games against the Crows, with two by more than 60 points.

The West Coast Eagles take on Port Adelaide in the final match of AFL Round 16 and the Sunday afternoon clash at Domain Stadium shapes as a beauty.

The two sides feature in the logjam for spots inside the eight and it is the Eagles that head in as slight favourite’s, due in part to the home ground advantage.

Fox Footy will broadcast the game, which gets underway at 4.40PM AEST, while AFL Live Vision is also available to ALL CrownBet members. Every Match, wherever you are.

After a disappointing showing in Round 12, Port Adelaide will be out to rejoin the winner’s list when they take on the Brisbane Lions at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon.

The 4.35pm clash is one of thee games for the day and the action can be seen on Fox Footy. AFL Live Vision is also available to ALL CrownBet members. Every Match, wherever you are.

Port Adelaide have won six of their 11 games to date but produced a shocker in Round 12, going down to Essendon by 70 points, in what was described as a bit of a ‘wake up call’ by coach Ken Hinkley.

On the same weekend, Brisbane enjoyed a long and overdue win, accounting for Fremantle by 57 points. That effort broke a nine game losing drought for the bottom placed Lions.

Dayne Zorko, Dayne Beams and Lewis Taylor all starred against the Dockers but that trio will need to be every bit as good if their side are to trouble the Power.

Despite their woes last weekend, Port head in as $1.03 favourite’s in the head to head betting with CrownBet and should be much better back at their home ground. At their most recent game at the venue, they obliterated Hawthorn by 51 point and a highlight that night was their fierce pressure and contested marking.

Look for the home side to get off to a fast start this weekend and gain the ascendancy in the middle of the ground. Hinkley will be urging his troops to win more of the football and defend the ball with more vigor when not in possession.

Port’s key big man, Charlie Dixon, will be out to bounce back after failing to register a goal against Essendon. The former Suns player booted four goals the week before against Hawthorn and looms as a factor on Saturday.

For Brisbane to be competitive they will need to repeat their midfield domination that was on display against Freo and they will also look for big games from their host of youngsters, including Tom Cutler, Harris Andrews and Hugh McCluggage.

On paper, however, Port Adelaide look to be far too good. While the Lions will have some winners in the middle, the Power have greater depth around the ground. Expect them to bounce back in a big way.
