AFL Live Geelong Cats vs Sydney Swans Streaming Free 2017 Regular Seasons Final week 02 match will be kick off at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, Friday 15 September 2017 online, 19:50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Geelong finished in 2nd position on the AFL ladder at the end of the home and away season but were shell-shocked in the first week of the finals, going down to Richmond by 51 points in the Qualifying Final.

They face a fight for survival against Sydney, who were far too classy for Essendon in the Elimination Final, defeating the Bombers by 65 points.

The Swans were 6th at the conclusion of the regular year but have won 15 of their last 17 and head into this as $1.40 favourites in the early head to head betting with CrownBet.

John Longmire’s midfield contingent were brutal against Essendon, while Lance Franklin put on a bit of a show up forward, booting four goals.

Geelong have some work to do to turn things around but the good news for Cats fans is that, historically, sides that lose Qualifying Finals tend to bounce back in the Semis. Another positive is that Geelong rank well in a number of statistical measures compared to the Swans.

Chris Scott’s side just shade Sydney in the disposal and contested possession count this season, while they have also been better at winning the clearances.

Patrick Dangerfield is sure to have an influence, while Joel Selwood should be a bit of an improver after producing a sub-par performance in his return from injury last week. Mitch Duncan shapes as an important player, while Sam Menegola is another that needs to lift.

That quartet face the likes of Josh Kennedy, Daniel Hannebery, Luke Parker and Kieren Jack in the middle of the ground and will need big games if their side are to cause an upset.

However, there are plenty of other factors that would point to a Sydney win. The Swans seem to have too much depth around the ground and are in the better form at this time of the year. They also have a terrific recent record over Geelong.

Sydney are heavily fancied in the betting and are arguably the form side of the competition, winning 14 of their past 16 matches. The perennial finalists finished runner-up last year and will be keen to feast on Essendon, who were the wooden spooners in 2016.

The Swans finished off their home and away season in style, crushing Carlton by 81 points, with Lance Franklin booting 10 majors, snatching the Coleman Medal in the process.

Essendon won their last two games of the home and away season, albeit against weaker opposition in the Gold Coast Suns and Fremantle. However, they may just have the game to take it to Sydney and were desperately unlucky not to knock over the Swans earlier in the year at the SCG.

The Bombers share the ball around and rank third in the competition for uncontested possessions and second for marks. If they can turn it into a free flowing game an upset is not beyond the realms of possibility.

The Bombers also have plenty of firepower in front of goal and rank third for points scored this season. Joe Daniher finished fourth in the Coleman, while Cale Hooker, Orazio Fantasia and Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti have also found themselves amongst the majors this season.

Given it is finals, the game could be a bit of a slog, with plenty of pressure and contested possession in the middle of the ground. The Swans have the tried and true game style that will stand up in the heat and Josh Kennedy, Daniel Hannebery and Luke Parker should all have a major influence.

Kennedy ranks third in the competition for contested disposals and will be one of the keys against a Dons midfield that has been a bit suspect at times this season. Dyson Heppell will be one Bomber that needs a big game in the middle, while Jobe Watson will be going all out for success, given that he is retiring at the end of the Bombers campaign.

The winner of this will line up in what shapes as a blockbuster Semi Final against either Geelong or Richmond, while for the loser, it is farewell to season 2017.

Sydney are a game behind fourth placed Richmond and just percentage behind fifth placed Port Adelaide. Should the Tigers slip up and Sydney win by enough to bridge the small percentage gap on the Power, the Swans will finish inside the top four for the sixth season in a row.

John Longmire’s side travelled to Adelaide last weekend and in what was one of the better games of the year, they came away with a three-point win. Josh Kennedy and Lance Franklin were the stars, with Franklin producing another magical solo effort- a running goal from the boundary that brought back memories of the goal of the year he produced in 2010 when playing at Hawthorn.

Franklin will be a major focal point this weekend, as well as Kennedy and they are two players that Carlton will need to stop.

The Blues snapped an eight-game losing streak last weekend by defeating Hawthorn by seven points and that win elevated them to 15th position on the ladder, in what is another rebuilding year at the club.

A highlight of the win were the efforts of some of their younger players in Charlie Curnow and Jarrod Pickett, while seasoned players in Marc Murphy, Bryce Gibbs and Matthew Kruezer also stood up.

That group will need huge games once again to trouble Sydney but their 22 may just lack the depth to match the home side.

The Swans lead the Blues in a number of statistical measures, most notably contested possession and clearances and given the form they are in, they shouldn’t have too many troubles in accounting for their rivals.

Sydney have very few injury concerns at the moment and a number of players are knocking on the door for selection with good form in the NEAFL, including Harry Cunningham, Shaun Edwards and Allir Allir.

Carlton’s Billie Smedts suffered a concussion against Hawthorn last weekend and may miss. Nick Graham is among a host of players that could come in.

StatsCarlton ended a run of outs against Sydney by defeating the Swans by 19 points earlier this year. The Round 6 fixture was the Swans sixth loss in succession but they have since rebounded.

Prior to that, the Sydneysiders had won the past seven games between the two clubs with four of those held at the SCG. Carlton are one from five when travelling interstate this season, while Sydney have won six from 10 at their home ground in 2017.

AFL Live Adelaide Crows vs Sydney Swans Streaming Free 2017 Regular Seasons Round 22 match will be kick off at Adelaide Oval, North Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, Friday 18 August 2017 online, 19:50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Adelaide have been posted at the odds of $1.60 in the head to head betting with CrownBet, while Sydney are at $2.35 in what shapes as a fascinating contest to open the round.

The Crows have already secured the double chance but can seal the minor premiership with a win at home, while Sydney could end up anywhere between fourth and sixth at the end of the round, depending on the result on Friday.

After opening up the season 0-6, the Swans have since won 12 of their past 14 games, with their only losses in that time period coming at the hands of Hawthorn.

John Longmire’s side come off a 104-point win over Fremantle at the SCG and have rocketed into third favouritism for the flag at $5, behind the Crows ($3.25) and GWS ($3.75).

A number of their star players are in excellent form, including Luke Parker, Daniel Hannebery and Isaac Heeney, while Lance Franklin comes off a four-goal haul against the Dockers.

However, that quartet will need to be at their best if they are to trouble the home side. With the exception of a couple of off nights during the year where they lost to Melbourne and Hawthorn, the Crows have made a habit of steamrolling their opposition at the Adelaide Oval in 2017. Their nine wins at the venue have come at an average margin of 59 points.

The Crows lead the competition for points scored and have kicked a staggering 300 points more than their nearest rival, while they sit in the top two of the competition in a stack of other measures, including contested possessions, contested marks, hitouts and clearances.

Taylor Walker, Eddie Betts and Josh Jenkins are in the top 14 for goals scored, while Matt Crouch and Rory Laird are among a number of players that have found plenty of the footy this year.

Adelaide will monitor Taylor Walker and Rory Sloane at training after the pair pulled up with respective issues out of the Essendon win. Sydney have few injury concerns with Josh Kennedy the only major name missing at the moment. The skipper will have a fitness test during the week and is expected to return.

Sydney produced a typically professional display in Round 20, travelling down to Geelong to take on the Cats at Simonds Stadium, where they came away with a 46-point win.

The win by the Swans was their 11th of the season and they now occupy sixth spot on the ladder. On the same weekend, Fremantle notched up win No.8 by accounting for the Gold Coast by 23 points, however, the Dockers are out of the finals race.

Sydney have played the superior football for a number of weeks now and a host of their senior players come off strong performances of late, while younger players have stood up.

Luke Parker, Daniel Hannebery and Jarrod McVeigh were instrumental in the win over the Cats, while youngsters in Tom Papley and Will Hawyward also caught the eye. Superstar forward, Lance Franklin, was subdued last weekend but has kicked 52 goals for the season and looms as a genuine threat to Fremantle’s backline.

The Dockers have been well served by Nathan Fyfe, Lachie Neale and the Hill brothers in recent weeks but may lack the depth and the skill execution to knock over Sydney.

Look for the home side to get on top at winning the contested possession and the clearances. If this likely scenario occurs, they will coast to another win and take one more step towards another finals campaign.

Sydney are set to regain Josh Kennedy, while Sam Naismith faces a fitness test. Dean Towers and Callum Sinclair could be the unlucky players to miss.

Fremantle will lose Brady Grey from their starting 22 but there are not too many queuing up to return, due to the Dockers lengthy injury list. Sean Darcy, Matt Taberner and Garrick Ibbotson will be considered.

Geelong head into this on the back of a big win over Carlton last weekend and have won three of their past four matches.

At Sydney, the Swans have come from nowhere after dropping their first six games for the year to challenge for the eight. Since that inglorious start they have won all but two of their subsequent 12 games, with those two losses both coming at the hands of Hawthorn.

The Hawks overcame Sydney in a scrappy affair at the MCG last weekend, in a game that saw many of the Swans big names struggle, including Josh Kennedy and Lance Franklin.

Kennedy is in doubt for the match this weekend with a hamstring issue but the biggest news earlier in the week was the suspension of Geelong’s Brownlow Medal winning midfielder, Patrick Dangerfield.

The Cats will have to get the job done without the influential player, who has not missed a game since switching from Adelaide prior to the 2016 season.

Joel Selwood, Mitch Duncan and Cam Guthrie will be asked to pick up the slack and that trio take on the likes of Kennedy, as well as Luke Parker, Daniel Hannebery and Isaac Heeney in the middle of the ground.

Other key players include Lance Franklin for the Swans, while at the other end of the ground, Tom Hawkins will be out to continue his good form after booting six majors last weekend.

A win for Geelong will see them all but sew up a top four spot, while a Sydney victory will mean the Swans are relatively safe inside the top eight. A loss will put their hopes of making the finals in jeopardy.

Geelong are likely to regain Daniel Menzel and Rhys Stanley after that pair were rested last weekend but Nakia Cockatoo will miss with a hamstring.

Sydney have a number of players battling soft tissue injuries including Josh Kennedy, Jake Lloyd, Sam Reid and Gary Rohan. Of that quartet, Rohan and Lloyd are expected to play, while there is some doubt on the availability of the others.

The Sydney Swans will be out to continue their electrifying recent form when they play host to St Kilda at the SCG on Saturday night, July 22.

After dropping their first six games of the season, last years Grand Finalists, Sydney, have since been the best performed side in the competition and are on the march back towards September.

The Swans have now won nine of their past 10 games and the only blip on the radar in that time period was a six point loss to Hawthorn. They have won six in a row and come off a 13 point win over GWS at Spotless Stadium last weekend.

Their opponents, St Kilda, suffered a 61-point loss to Essendon in Round 17, which saw them crash out of the eight and into 9th position on the ladder. Prior to that performance, the Saints were in good form and had won their past four.

Despite their promising form prior to the Bombers loss, the task at hand appears to be a tough one for Alan Richardson and his troops, even if they bring their A-game.

Sydney’s midfield have been in brilliant form and the likes of Luke Parker, Josh Kennedy and Daniel Hannebery were brutal against the Giants, while Lance Franklin scooted to the top of the goalkicking table with four majors.

Look for the Swans to get on top at winning the contested possession count. They rank 4th in this measure, while St Kilda are 13th. However, the Saints are 4th for uncontested possessions, while Sydney are 13th. Sebastian Ross and Jack Steven should find enough of the footy and if the Saints can use the ball effectively enough, they are in with a chance.

Tim Membrey shapes as a welcome inclusion for the Saints but it is hard to see them troubling Sydney, given the Swans recent form. St Kilda have an ordinary record when travelling interstate in recent seasons and they have also found life difficult against the Swans.

The Sydney Swans are on a roll and the Grand Finalists from 2016 can continue their march towards the finals when they take on the Gold Coast Suns at the SCG on Saturday afternoon in AFL Round 16.

The Swans, who have won seven of their past eight games, are heavily fancied to prevail in the clash that gets underway at 4.35PM.

Fox Footy will broadcast the game, while AFL Live Vision is also available to ALL CrownBet members. Every Match, wherever you are.

Sydney are regarded as the form side of the competition and the successful club are making another charge towards September. After dropping their first six games, the Swans have come back with a vengeance and were way too classy for an injury depleted Melbourne last weekend, accounting for the Demons by 35 points.

John Longmire’s side have been posted as $1.13 favourites in the early head to head betting with CrownBet, however, the premiership winning coach will be urging his side to be at their ferocious best, as the Suns can surprise on their day.

The Queensland based outfit have won six from 14 in season 2017 and are just one game behind the Swans on the ladder. They come off a 19-point win over North Melbourne in Round 15 in what was Gary Ablett’s 300th game.

The little master contributed with 37 disposals in that win, while the former Crow, Jarryd Lyons, produced his best game yet for his new side with 39 touches of his own.

Tom Lynch turned his form around with five majors. That trio will all need to produce big matches, as will Steven May, who takes on Lance Franklin in the Suns back half of the ground.

Franklin leads the competition for goals scored. He has booted 40 majors for the year and has also been very damaging in the 50m-70m arc, setting up a number of others with his silky skills. The battle between May and Franklin will be a major highlight.

The two sides play contrasting games. Sydney will get on top at winning the contested possessions. Josh Kennedy and Luke Parker have been dominant in this aspect of the game and will be influential.

The Suns are good at sharing the ball around and lead the competition for uncontested disposals, while they are 5th for total marks. If they can execute their skills on the small dimensions of the SCG, they may just have the game to take it to the Swans.

However, the home side should be full of confidence and it is hard to see them dropping this one. A win may see them sneak into the eight at the conclusion of the round, provided that other results go their way.

Richmond have won seven of their 11 games to date, with three of their losses coming by under a goal. In contrast, Sydney have won just four of their 11 games but head in as favourite’s for the MCG encounter.

After a horror opening to the year, John Longmire’s side have won four of their past five and come off their best performance of the year, a ruthless 46 point win over the premiers from 2016, the Western Bulldogs.

Their opponents, Richmond, enjoyed the week’s rest last weekend due to the bye. Prior to that, they defeated North Melbourne by 35 points and they head to the MCG for the first time since accounting for Essendon by 15 in the ‘Dreamtime at the G’ encounter on May 27.

Saturday’s clash against Sydney pits a couple of quality midfields up against one another. Richmond enjoy the service of the leading Brownlow Medal fancy, Dustin Martin, who was brilliant in the win over North a fortnight ago, while Trent Cotchin is also enjoying an excellent season.

At Sydney, Josh Kennedy comes off a stellar game, while Daniel Hannebery and Isaac Heeney were both in the thick of it against the Bulldogs. Another mouth watering match up will occur in the Swans forward line with Lance Franklin set to be matched up on by Richmond’s Alex Rance.

That contest pairs up the competitions best forward and best defender up against one another and the result of this battle will be pivotal. Rance has generally played well on ‘Buddy’ in the past but the Sydney forward had a bit of a day out the last time the two sides met, booting seven goals.

The Round 13 fixture should be a physical one. Both sides play a contested brand of football and pressure the opposition when not in possession. If the Swans can bring the same intensity that was on display in the Bulldogs game they should be hard to beat but the Tigers enjoy the home ground advantage and have won five from six at the MCG.

A win for the home side will see them emerge as a serious top four contender, while it will all but spell doom for the Swans finals hopes. Last year’s Grand Finalists are two games outside the eight but on the flipside they will be within striking distance should they get up over the Tigers.

Round 12 of the AFL home and away season gets underway when the Sydney Swans take on the Western Bulldogs at the SCG and the Thursday night clash between last years Grand Finalists shapes as a beauty.

The Swans head in as slight favourites in the early head to head betting and the action gets underway at 7.20PM. Channel 7 and Fox Footy will broadcast the game, while AFL Live Vision is also available to ALL CrownBet members. Every Match, wherever you are.

Both sides come off the bye in Round 11 and head into this with fresh legs. Prior to the break, the Western Bulldogs defeated St Kilda by 40 points at Etihad Stadium, while the Sydney Swans went down to Hawthorn by a goal at the SCG.

That loss was Sydney’s fourth from five games at the venue this season and their win-loss record sits at 3-7. This compares poorly to the Bulldogs, who are 6-4, yet, the Dogs head in as slight underdogs.

Luke Beveridge’s side are winless in their three games interstate this season but they do have a good record against Sydney at the SCG in recent times.

On Friday, they bump into a Swans outfit that has struggled to get their hands on the football as much as their opposition this season. The Dogs rank 4th in the competition for average disposals, while the Swans are 14th in this area.

Luke Beveridge’s side seem to have a better spread of players that can find the footy, while the Swans will be relying heavily on Josh Kennedy, Daniel Hannebery and Luke Parker.

In other measures, the Bulldogs are the superior tackling side but the Swans may enjoy a slight edge in the ruck.

Key players for Sydney include Lance Franklin and Dane Rampe. Franklin was sublime the last time the two sides met and has booted 32 goals for the season. He comes off a memorable performance against Hawthorn, booting five goals against his former side.

At the other end, Rampe looks set to line up on the Bulldogs Jake Stringer. The livewire forward also snagged five goals at this last appearance.

The Swans will also be looking to curtail last year’s Norm Smith Medalist, Jason Johanissen, who has been providing plenty of run from halfback this season. He looms as an influential player on the small expanses of the SCG.

At stake in this contest is plenty. Sydney can keep their remote finals hopes alive with a win, while the Bulldogs need to secure a victory or their top four hopes will take a major hit.

Jake Lloyd and Sam Reid should maintain their spots in the 22 after going down with concussion in the loss to Hawthorn, while Jarrad McVeigh looms as a possible inclusion. Kieren Jack and Allir Allir are on the fringe of selection.

The Western Bulldogs will consider Tom Liberatore, while Matthew Boyd is also available. Other big names that missed the Dogs last game include Travis Cloke and Jack Redpath. Tim English and Bailey Williams are among those that could make way.
