Watch Sydney Swans vs GWS Giants Live Streaming Free 2018 Online 08 September Finals Week 1

September 7, 2018 by admin Leave a Comment

Australian Football League Sydney Swans vs GWS Giants Live Stream Free, AFL 2018 Regular Seasons Final Week 01 AFL Live Stream. Sydney Swans vs GWS Giants match will be kickoff at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, NSW, Australia, Saturday 08 September 2018 online, 16:20 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

AFL Live Stream

Sydney and GWS would be slightly disappointed with their respective finishing position’s after just missing out on the top four and the subsequent double chance.

The Swans lost their Round 23 clash to Hawthorn by nine points and that defeat saw them finish in 6th position, while GWS come off two successive losses and have had to settle for 7th.

The Giants battled injuries to key players in the concluding stages this season. They were beaten by Sydney to the tune of 20 points in Round 22 before going down to Melbourne by 45 in the last round of the regular season.

Despite their recent hiccups, both sides should benefit from the week off in between games and we can expect to see some big names to return. Lance Franklin is the most notable of those and the Sydney superstar was the matchwinner the last time the two sides met.

He will have a major say in proceedings, as will the Giants midfield trio of Callan Ward, Stephen Coniglio and Dylan Shiel. Those players are arguably in better form than their Swans counterparts.

The Giants rank higher than the Swans for disposals and contested possessions, while they are competition’s best for clearances. Sydney are 9th in this measure.

Another interesting stat is that both sides rank very similarly for points scored and points conceded. The side that takes their chances and converts in front of goal should just about be the one that comes out in front.

With Franklin sure to provide a target at one end, Jeremy Cameron will need to lift on his recent performances at the other end for GWS, while Giants fans will be hoping Toby Greene can prove his fitness and sneak into the side to add some much needed depth inside forward 50.

Both sides have lengthy injury lists but Sydney are expected to regain a couple of big names in Lance Franklin and Luke Parker. Both missed the Hawks loss.

GWS will be sweating on the fitness of Rory Lobb, who suffered a back injury in the loss to Melbourne. Toby Greene is an outside chance of returning and his presence would bolster the Giants forward line.

Sydney have won 11 of the 15 encounters between the two sides including both matches this season. They met as recently as Round 22 and on that occasion it was Sydney by 20 points at Spotless Stadium.

Earlier in the year, the Swans accounted for the Giants by 16 at the SCG. Sydney have a moderate record at their home ground this season, winning five from 11 at the venue. GWS have ventured to the SCG on six occasions since 2012 for just one win.

This shapes as a real flip of the coin job. Sydney are better placed from an injury perspective but if GWS can get their running game going they loom as a genuine threat. After a tight first few quarters, the Giants can overcome Sydney in what should be a close one.

Australian Football League Sydney Swans vs Hawthorn Hawks Live Stream Free, AFL 2018 Regular Seasons Week 23 AFL Live Stream. Sydney Swans vs Hawthorn Hawks match will be kickoff at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, Saturday 25 August 2018 online, 19:25 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

AFL Live Stream

Hawthorn have enjoyed the superior start to the year, winning five of seven, while Sydney have won four of seven. However, with their backs against the wall, the Swans will be dangerous.

John Longmire’s side are still considered to be one of the teams to beat this year. While they unexpectedly dropped their Round 7 clash to North Melbourne by two points, they were brilliant prior to that, winning on the road against Geelong by 17.

Hawthorn come off a 23 point win over Essendon in Round 7 and have won four of their five games at the MCG this season. The former Swan, Tom Mitchell, continues to rack up a stack of numbers and leads the competition for average disposals at 36 per game. Jaegar O’Meara and James Sicily are other keys for the brown and gold.

Sydney will have to do it without their champion forward, Lance Franklin, who remains on the sidelines. Another former Hawk, Josh Kennedy, will need to continue his good form. He is one of the reasons why Sydney are the leading clearance team and can help give the Swans first use. However, the issue might be a lack of firepower up forward as they managed to boot just nine goals in the loss to the Kangas.

Another factor in this game may be the weather. Wet and wild conditions are forecast in Melbourne for Friday. The Swans are regarded as an excellent wet weather side, but Hawthorn relished in the slippery conditions earlier in the year in a win over Melbourne. Up to 80mm of rain is expected for parts of Melbourne.

Ricky Henderson was a late withdrawal from the Hawks lineup last weekend and is expected to return. Jono O’Rourke has been solid in the VFL but may struggle to sneak in. James Worpel was quiet at senior level and may be a possible omission.

Sydney are likely to miss Lance Franklin and Daniel Hannebery with those two expected to be given another week to recover from their respective injuries.

Hawthorn won both games between the two sides last year, a period when the Swans won 14 from 16. In Round 10, Jarryd Roughead booted a late goal to seal a six point win at the SCG, while in Round 19 the Hawks again won by that margin at the MCG.

Sydney have won two of the past three against Hatwhorn at the MCG since they were oblieterated in the 2014 Grand Final by 63 points. The Swans won just two of five games at the home of footy in 2017.

These two always play out some close games and this one looms as no exception. The loss to the Roos would have stung the Swans but the Hawks have been pretty composed this year and they can seal the deal under the MCG lights.

Players List:
SYDNEY:
B: Rampe, Grundy, Lloyd

GWS have won nine of their past 10 matches and are charging towards the finals. The Giants continue to defy a massive injury list and come off a 14 point win over the Adelaide Crows in Round 21.

Another win will see them take one step closer to locking in the double chance, something that seemed very unlikely 10 weeks ago. They face Melbourne in Round 23.

Their opponents, Sydney, have bounced back into calculations with close wins over Collingwood and Melbourne in recent weeks. Last weekend they held on by seven points over the Demons and they now sit in 6th position on the ladder.

GWS have been posted as slight favourites for this game and look to have a bit of a class edge in the middle of the ground. They rank 3rd in the competition for contested possessions and 1st for clearances, while Sydney are 9th in both of these measures.

Look for Lachie Whitfield, Dylan Shiel and Callan Ward to find plenty of it for the expansion club, while Josh Kelly is another that can have an influence, provided he is ok to go after sustaining a concussion last weekend.

Sydney come into calculations on the back of their experience in big games, while the Giants massive injury list will also obviously be a help.

Lance Franklin will again be one of the key players for John Longmire’s side and the champion forward has been amongst the Swans better players in recent weeks. He has booted 52 goals this season, six behind Ben Brown and Jack Riewoldt in the race for the Coleman Medal.

Other pivotal playmakers for the Swans include Isaac Heeney, Josh Kennedy and Allir Allir. That trio featured in the best for the Swans last weekend.

Sydney have won 10 of the 14 games between the two sides, including the past two. The Swans claimed the Round 3 clash this year by 16 points with Callum Sinclair, Lance Franklin and Josh Kennedy playing key roles. Stephen Coniglio and Jeremy Cameron were among the Giants best.

The Swans took out the 2017 Round 17 clash at Spotless Stadium by 13 points and have won two of the four games they have played there. GWS are five from seven at the venue this season.

This is a tough one to predict as GWS have the edge but will have to do it without key players. Having said that, their record at the venue has been strong over the past few years and they look to be the play in the head to head betting.

Players List:
GIANTS:
B: Kennedy, Davis, Tomlinson
HB: Keeffe, Haynes, Perryman

Sydney Swans vs Collingwood Magpies match will be kickoff at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, NSW, Australia, Saturday 04 August 2018 online, 19:25 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

It is now or never for the Sydney Swans, who have dropped their past two games and four of their past five. After suffering a shock defeat to the Gold Coast Suns in Round 18, the perennial finalists then faded out of it to lose to Essendon by 43 points and are now in danger of missing out on the finals action for the first time since 2009.

John Longmire’s side are now in 9th spot on the ladder, six places behind 3rd placed Collingwood. The Magpies lost their Round 19 game to the ladder leaders, Richmond, by 28 points in an effort that was respectable, given that they lost some key players during that game.

Despite their injury woes, Collingwood should be able to trouble Sydney with their midfield depth and pace around the contest. They rank 1st in the competition for total disposals and are 4th for both hitouts and clearances. Sydney are 11th, 15th and 8th in these measures.

Look for Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom to have an influence. That pair combined for 75 disposals in the loss to Richmond last weekend, while Brodie Grundy was another that was dominant.

Key players for Sydney are Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker and Lance Franklin. ‘Buddy’ has been quiet in recent times and is battling injury, while Kennedy and Parker will need to produce blinders if the home side are to fire.

Another loss at home will see Sydney finish off the round outside the eight, while a win will have them back in the mix. Collingwood could slide out of the top four if they go down but a win will take them one step closer to snaring the double chance.

Sydney lose Zak Jones to suspension but Kieren Jack and Jarrad McVeigh are a chance to return from injury.

Collingwood’s wretched run with injuries continued last weekend and they lose Matt Scharenberg to an ACL, while Brody Mihocek and Jeremy Howe remain in doubt. James Wish, Alex Fasolo and Ben Crocker are among those that could come in.

The two sides have not met since Round 3 of 2017 and on that occasion it was Collingwood in a thriller by one point at the SCG. Interestingly, the past five games between the two sides have been held in Sydney and it is the Pies with the advantage with three wins to two.

Collingwood have won all three of their interstate games this season, while Sydney’s woes at home have been well documented, winning just four of nine at their once formidable venue.

It is hard to have Sydney based on their recent woes as well as their ordinary record at home this season. Collingwood have too much class in the middle of the ground and will prevail.

Sydney Swans vs Geelong Cats match will be kickoff at Sydney Cricket Ground Stadium, Sydney, NSW, Australia, Thursday 05 July 2018 online, 19:20 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

One of the big games of AFL Round 16 will be when the Sydney Swans take on the Geelong Cats at the SCG on Thursday night, July 5.

The result of this clash will have a big bearing on both sides finals hopes and the action gets underway at 7.20PM. Channel 7 and Fox Footy will broadcast the game.

Sydney have won 10 of their 14 games this year and sit in 4th spot on the ladder. The perennial finalists come off a 26 point loss at the hands of Richmond. Prior to that, they had won six in a row.

Geelong are precariously positioned, just holding on to 8th spot on percentage and will be rueing their last start defeat, which came at the hands of the western Bulldogs by two points. On that occasion, Harry Taylor missed a goal after the siren that would have seen his side home.

The Cats can ill afford another loss and may find themselves out of the eight at the conclusion of the round. They have been posted as the $2.75 underdogs in the early head to head betting with CrownBet.

The game brings together a couple of the better midfield line ups with Geelong’s Patrick Dangerfield, Joel Selwood and Gary Ablett taking on the likes of Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker and Daniel Hannebery. The two sides rank similarly in a number of statistical measures and it is hard to split them in this area.

Match-winners up forward for Sydney, include Lance Franklin, who has booted 35 goals this season at 3.2 per game, while Will Hayward and Ben Ronke are others that have bobbed up in recent times.

For Geelong, Tom Hawkins and Harry Taylor loom as focal points. Hawkins has kicked 28 goals this year.

Players List:

Sydney Swans:
B: Nick Smith, Heath Grundy, Zak Jones
HB: Jarrad McVeigh, Dane Rampe, Jake Lloyd
C: Kieren Jack, Josh Kennedy, Oliver Florent

Australian Football League Live Sydney Swans vs West Coast Eagles Live Stream Free, AFL 2018 Regular Seasons Week 13 AFL Stream. Sydney Swans vs West Coast Eagles match will be kickoff at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, SA, Australia, Friday 15 June 2018 online, 19:50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

AFL Live Stream

Sydney come off a 71 point win over St Kilda at Etihad Stadium last weekend and have now won five on the trot.

However, their winning streak is some way off when we compare that to West Coast, who have won 10 in a row. Despite this, the Eagles head in as underdogs.

Interestingly, their loss this year came against the Sydney Swans when the two sides met back in Round 1. They followed this up with 10 wins before their Round 12 bye. Prior to the break they also met St Kilda, defeating that side by 13 points at Perth Stadium.

It will be interesting to see if the competition’s pacesetters can take their form on the road. Four of their wins have come interstate this year, including a Round 8 trip to Sydney, when they conquered GWS by 25.

They are one of only two sides that are averaging over 100 points per game this year but they will have to do it without Jack Darling, who has booted 28 goals in 2018. The powerful forward went down with an ankle injury and will miss the game.

Darling’s partner in crime, Josh Kennedy, has booted 27 goals and will be the major focal point up forward. Mark LeCras is another that is more than capable of stepping up and has booted 21.

At the other end of the ground, Lance Franklin, looms large for the Swans. Buddy has kicked 29 goals in 2018 but the Swans will need to negotiate their way around Jeremy McGovern, who is renowned for his intercept marking in the defensive 50m.

Key battles will occur in the middle of the ground. Nic Natanui take on his former teammate, Callum Sinclair, in the ruck, while the likes of Andrew Gaff and Elliot Yeo match up on Sydney’s Josh Kennedy and Isaac Heeney.

The Swans rank higher for total disposals, contested possession and clearances but the Eagles are superior in the air, ranking higher for contested marks and hitouts. A win for either side will see them firm for a top four spot.

The two sides have split their last four games by winning two each. They met in Round 1 this year at Perth Stadium and it was Sydney by 29 points. On that occasion, Lance Franklin booted eight goals for the winners, while Mark LeCras and Jack Darling chimed in with three each for the Eagles.

Sydney have won the past four games between the two sides in Sydney, including the Round 5 2016 encounter by 39 points and are eight from 10 over the Eagles in the past 10 years.

While the Swans enjoy the home ground advantage, it should be noted that they have lost three games at the SCG out of six played this season.

I’m inclined to go with Sydney, despite their surprisingly inconsistent form at the SCG this year. The loss of Darling hurts the Eagles, while the tight confines of the SCG should suit the Swans style of play more than the league leaders.

Players List:
SWANS:
B: Lloyd, Grundy, Smith
HB: Jones, Rampe, Marsh

St Kilda Saints vs Sydney Swans match will be kickoff at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, Saturday 09 June 2018 online, 19:25 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

St Kilda have won just won game this season, which was a 25 point defeat of Brisbane that came way back in Round 1. They registered a draw against GWS in Round 5 but apart from that, their season has predominately been in freefall.

Their optimistic fans can point to the fact that their side finished off well in the recent game against West Coast, booting seven last quarter goals to one before eventually losing by 13.

But the task at hand will be difficult against a Sydney outfit that have won seven of 10 this year and generally play well on the road. The Swans have won their past four games and are primed for another top four finish.

John Longmire’s side rank higher than the Saints in a number of statistical measures. They are 6th for contested possessions and 3rd for clearances, while St Kilda are last in both of these categories.

The Saints are also struggling to penetrate the scoreboard in 2018, averaging just 68 points per game, superior to only one other side, Carlton.

For an unlikely upset to occur, they will need big performances from the likes of Seb Ross, Jack Steven and Jack Sinclair, who were all prominent last weekend, while Tim Membery and Jade Gresham will be the focal points up forward. The former Swan, Membery, booted six goals in the loss to the Eagles.

At the other end, Lance Franklin looms ominously for Sydney, while Isaac Heeney, Luke Parker and Josh Kennedy will provide plenty of depth in the middle of the ground for the favourites.

St Kilda will be sweating on the fitness of Jarryn Geary after the skipper hurt his calf in the loss to the Eagles. He is expected to miss this game. Nick Coffield and David Armitage are a chance of returning to the side.

Sydney have no immediate injuries out of the Carlton game. Dean Towers and Dan Robinson are among those with solid form in the NEAFL and may earn a recall.

Sydney have won their past eight against St Kilda, a sequence that stretches back to 2012. Three of those games have been played at Etihad.

The two sides last met in Round 18 last year and on that occasion it was Sydney by 42 points at the SCG. Earlier in the season, the Swans scored by 50 at Etihad. Lance Franklin booted a combined total of seven goals in those two games, while Callum Sinclair chipped in with five in the Round 18 game. Seb Ross was the best for St Kilda on both occasions.

St Kilda can take some hope out of the way they finished off last weekend but Sydney will have the answers. Swans by 26 points.

Sydney have won seven of their 10 matches this season and sit in 3rd position on the ladder, while Carlton have registered just the solitary victory and are in bottom spot.

The discrepancy between the two sides is reflected in the early head to head betting, with Carlton as much as $11 in early markets with ladbrokes, while the Swans are $1.04.

However, the Blues were right in the contest against Geelong in Round 10 and just lacked the polish at vital times. If they can bring that effort and intensity to Sydney, they will give themselves every chance of pulling off an upset victory.

The Swans have been known to pull out the odd shocker at their home ground of the SCG and have won just one of four against interstate sides at the venue this season.

However, their star studded list should have enough firepower to ensure an upset does not occur. Josh Kennedy and Isaac Heeney have been in great form, while Lance Franklin looms large inside the Swans forward 50. ‘Buddy’ booted 10 goals the last time the two sides met.

An interesting battle will occur in the midfield, where Patrick Cripps will spend time on Kennedy. The young Blues star leads the competition for average contested possessions, while Kennedy has been one of the best in this measure over the years.

Carlton will need a huge game again from Cripps, while Matthew Kruezer, Kade Simpson and the Curnow brothers are other keys.

Sydney have a number of players that are pushing for selection including Dean Towers and Nic Newman. Tom McCartin may be one to make way.

Carlton may make a couple of changes and Jack Silvagni is one that is putting up his Han for selection with good form in the VFL.

Sydney have won nine of their past 10 against Carlton, including the 2017 Round 23 clash between the two sides by 81 points. In that encounter, Lance Franklin booted 10 goal, while Josh Kennedy picked up 30 touches. Kade Simpson and Marc Murphy were among Carlton’s best.

Earlier in the year, the Blues defeated Sydney by 19 points at the MCG, however, Carlton have not won in Sydney since 1993 and will be out to break one of the games longest running hoodoo’s.

Carlton can stick with Sydney but their lack of firepower presents as a concern. Take the Blues with the 54.5 point start.

The 4.35PM clash is one of five AFL games for the day and the action can be seen live on Fox Footy.

After a series of near-misses, Brisbane finally broke through for their first win of 2017 defeating Hawthorn by 56 points at the GABBA last weekend.

The victory elevated them off the bottom of the ladder and into 17th spot, one ahead of Carlton. Their opponents, Sydney, sit in 5th position and have won six of their nine games thus far.

Despite their superiority, the Swans will be respecting the Lions, who have been playing some exciting footy of late. Dayne Zorko and Dayne Beams continued their excellent form but it was a host of younger players that stood up in the win over the Hawks, including Hugh McCluggage and Eric Hipwood.

If those players can carry on from where they left off the Lions are a chance of making it two in a row, however, Sydney are a professional outfit and will be hard to beat.

Over the course of the year, the Swans rank much higher in a number of statistical measures such as winning the contested possessions and clearances. They have a number of players in good form, including Josh Kennedy, Jake Lloyd, Jarrad McVeigh and Lance Franklin, who returned from injury with a three goal haul last weekend.

Brisbane have few players on their injury list and plenty of options should they decide to drop anyone with Josh Walker, Ryan Lester and Jake Barrett all in good form in the NEAFL.

Sydney are unlikely to make too many changes to their winning lineup. Zak Jones is in some doubt after suffering a head knock last weekend.

After producing a stunning victory over the Hawks last weekend, Sydney will be out to capitalise when they take on the Fremantle Dockers at the SCG in AFL Round 9 action.

The Saturday May 19 clash gets underway at 7.25PM and will be broadcast on Fox Sports.

Sydney have had a topsy-turvy season thus far, winning five from eight and are sitting 7th on the ladder. They have one more win to their credit than the Dockers, who are currently in 12th position.

The Swans have shown some remarkable form on the road but have dropped three of their four SCG games. Last weekend, they kicked three goals in time on of their MCG clash to scrape past Hawthorn by eight points. Prior to that, they were rolled by North Melbourne in Sydney by two.

Fremantle come off a 30 point victory over St Kilda at Perth Stadium. Their home form compared to away is a tad more conventional than the Swans, as all of their wins have been at Perth Stadium, while they are winless on the road. In Round 7 they were belted by Richmond at the MCG by 77 points.

Statistically, both sides are evenly matched in a number of categories but the Swans should get on top at winning the contested possessions and clearances. Luke Parker, Josh Kennedy and Isaac Heeney should provide enough impetus in the middle but the presence of Fremantle’s Nathan Fyfe will ensure the visitors are not out of it in this area.

The Dockers should enjoy first use of the footy, courtesy of Aaron Sandilands, who is ranked 2nd in the competition for hitouts, but the Dockers will need more from some of their forwards.

At the other end, Sydney will again have to do it without Lance Franklin and it will be interesting to see if Ben Ronke can repeat his heroics from last weekend after kicking seven goals against Hawthorn in just his third senior game.
