Hawthorn Hawks vs Sydney Swans match will be kickoff at MCG Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Friday 11 May 2018 online, 19:50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

AFL Football Live Stream

Round 8 of the AFL home and away season gets underway when the Hawthorn Hawks take on the Sydney Swans at the MCG on Friday May 11.

The two sides have played out some classics in recent times and this shapes as no exception. First bounce is at 7.50PM and all the action can be seen on Channel 7 and Fox Footy.

Hawthorn have enjoyed the superior start to the year, winning five of seven, while Sydney have won four of seven. However, with their backs against the wall, the Swans will be dangerous.

John Longmire’s side are still considered to be one of the teams to beat this year. While they unexpectedly dropped their Round 7 clash to North Melbourne by two points, they were brilliant prior to that, winning on the road against Geelong by 17.

Hawthorn come off a 23 point win over Essendon in Round 7 and have won four of their five games at the MCG this season. The former Swan, Tom Mitchell, continues to rack up a stack of numbers and leads the competition for average disposals at 36 per game. Jaegar O’Meara and James Sicily are other keys for the brown and gold.

Sydney will have to do it without their champion forward, Lance Franklin, who remains on the sidelines. Another former Hawk, Josh Kennedy, will need to continue his good form. He is one of the reasons why Sydney are the leading clearance team and can help give the Swans first use. However, the issue might be a lack of firepower up forward as they managed to boot just nine goals in the loss to the Kangas.

Another factor in this game may be the weather. Wet and wild conditions are forecast in Melbourne for Friday. The Swans are regarded as an excellent wet weather side, but Hawthorn relished in the slippery conditions earlier in the year in a win over Melbourne. Up to 80mm of rain is expected for parts of Melbourne.

After producing a remarkable come from behind victory to defeat Geelong last weekend, the Sydney Swans will be out to chalk up another victory when they take on North Melbourne on Saturday May 5 at the SCG.

The 7.25PM encounter pits the 7th placed Swans up against the Kangaroos, who are currently 8th on the ladder and the action can be seen on Fox Sports 3.

Sydney have won four of their six games this season and sit in 7th position on the ladder, one slot ahead 8th placed North Melbourne, who have won three of six.

The Swans chalked up a 17 point victory over Geelong last weekend but went down the week prior to Adelaide at the SCG by 10.

North Melbourne surprised many by defeating Hawthorn in Round 5 by 28 points but couldn’t maintain that form last weekend, dropping their Etihad Stadium encounter to Port Adelaide by 33.

They face a Swans outfit that rank 2nd in clearances, while the Roos are 15th in this measure. Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker and Isaac Heeney are among a host of players that should give the Swans first use in the middle of the ground.

Some of the key players for the Kangaroos, include Ben Brown and Jarryd Waite. The two have worked well in tandem this year inside North’s forward 50 and Brown leads the competition for goals scored with 23 majors, four clear of Hawthorn’s Luke Breust.

Geelong Cats vs Sydney Swans match will be kickoff at GMHBA Stadium, Geelong, VIC, Australia, Saturday 28 April 2018 online, 13:45 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Geelong and Sydney are among a number of sides with three wins from the five rounds of football that have been played so far in 2017.

The Cats come off a great win on the road, defeating Port Adelaide by 34 points, while Sydney missed out by 10 points against the Adelaide Crows at the SCG.

Both boast star studded midfield lineups Joel Selwood and Patrick Dangerfield seem to be permanent fixtures in their best players each week but it is the Cats younger brigade of young players that have really stood up. Tim Kelly and Brandon Parfitt are a couple of examples of youngsters that the Cats fans can be excited about.

Sydney’s on-ball division have been slightly below their best. Luke Parker has been solid but Josh Kennedy will need to lift his output if the Swans are to take this out, with their spearhead, Lance Franklin, out with injury.

Buddy has kicked 18 goals this year and will be sorely missed. Isaac Heeney is the Swans next highest contributor with six goals.

Another interesting factor in this game is that little separates the two sides in a number of statistical measures. Geelong enjoy the home ground advantage but the Swans have a great record at the venue. It shapes as a real flip of the coin job.

Geelong thumped Sydney by 59 points in last year’s finals series, sending the Swans out of contention. John Longmire’s side were a tad one-dimensional with Lance Franklin being outnumbered in their forward line before Geelong’s midfielders set up the likes of Patrick Dangerfield (who played up the ground that night) and Daniel Menzel. That par combined for six goals.

Prior to that match, Sydney won three in a row against the Cats and two of those were played at GMHBA Stadium, while the other was in the 2016 Preliminary Final.

The big news here is that Lance Franklin and Daniel Hannebery will miss for Sydney. Joel Selwood has been cleared to play for Geelong but his brother, Scott, may miss after suffering concussion last weekend. Gary Ablett and Tom Hawkins are both a chance to return from injury.

AFL Live Sydney Swans vs Adelaide Crows Streaming Free 2018 Regular Seasons week 04 match will be kick off at SCG Stadium, Sydney, NSW, Australia, Friday 20 Apri 2018 online, 19:50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

AFL Live Streaming

One of the big games of AFL Round 5 will be when the Sydney Swans take on the Adelaide Crows on Friday April 20 at the SCG.

The two sides featured prominently at the business end of 2017 and it is the Swans that head in as favourites after enjoying a superior start to 2018. Channel 7 and Fox Footy will broadcast the game.

Sydney have won three from four this year and stamped their class late in their Round 4 clash against the Western Bulldogs, taking out a thriller by seven points.

It has not all been smooth sailing for Adelaide, however. The Crows have battled to manage a combination of injuries and questionable form and sit with a win-loss record of 2-2. They were off their game last weekend when going down to Collingwood by 48 points and need to find a way to rebound.

Their coach, Don Pyke, will demand a lift in intensity and attack on the ball. If they fail to improve in this aspect of their game it could be a long night, as the Swans are renowned for their ability to win the contested footy, as well as the clearances.

Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker and Isaac Heeney are all in sparkling form for the Swans, as is their focal point up forward, Lance Franklin, who leads the competition for goals scored this year, with 17 majors.

At the other end of the ground the Crows will need more output from the likes of Taylor Walker and Josh Jenkins. That duo, as well as the currently injured Eddie Betts, combined for more than 150 goals last season, but have been inconsistent so far in 2018.

A lot will depend of the supply from further up the ground and with the continued absence of the Crouch brothers, the likes of Rory Sloane and Bryce Gibbs will need to produce something special against the Swans quality on-ball division.

Western Bulldogs vs Sydney Swans match will be kickoff at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Saturday 14 April 2018 online, 16:35 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Australian Football Streaming

One of the big games of AFL Round 4 will be when the Western Bulldogs take on the Sydney Swans at Etihad Stadium on Saturday April 14.

The Bulldogs bounced back last weekend but face a red-hot Swans outfit and the action can be seen on Fox Footy.

The Western Bulldogs battled in the first two home and away games, going down to GWS by 82 points before losing to West Coast by 51. However, they rebounded with a strong win over Essendon in Round 3, defeating the Bombers by 19.

Sydney have a superior win-loss record, winning two of three. Their wins came against West Coast in Round 1 and GWS last weekend by 16 points at the SCG. In Round 2 they were rolled by Port Adelaide to the tune of 23 points.

John Longmire’s side are playing their typical brand of football, dominating sides at winning the clearances and contested football. Josh Kennedy, Isaac Heeney and Luke Parker will all have plenty of influence against the Bulldogs and can give the Swans the upper hand in the middle.

The Dogs will also need to find a way to stop Lance Franklin, who is easily the best forward in the competition at the moment. Franklin has booted 14 goals in the three games this year but has also set up plenty of others by roaming further up the ground.

Bulldogs fans can take a fair degree of optimism into the game, given that the Dogs midfield group played what was some of their best footy for a long time last weekend. Their side should also have possibly beaten Essendon by a lot more than what the margin suggests as they booted an inaccurate 14.20.

Look for Lachie Hunter, Luke Dahlhaus and Jack Macrae to attempt to match motors with Sydney’s star-studded midfield and it will be interesting to see where Marcus Bontempelli spends most of his time. The Bont booted three goals in the win over the Dons last weekend, playing mainly as a forward.

AFL Football Streaming

The AFL’s two Sydney based sides, the Sydney Swans and the GWS Giants, lock horns in Round 3 when they meet at the SCG on Saturday April 7 at 7.25PM AEST.

Both sides are expected to be major players this season and it is the Swans that have been posted as the slight favourites in the early head to head betting. All the action can be seen live on Fox Sports.

Sydney have split their two games this season. They were 29 point winners over the West Coast Eagles in Round 1 but a lapse in concentration during the third quarter of their Round 2 game against Port Adelaide saw them drop that match by 17 points.

GWS were big winners in Round 1, taking out the Western Bulldogs by 82 points before kicking clear late in the game to defeat an injury ravaged Collingwood by 16 points at the MCG.

This contest brings together two sides that are expected to feature at the business end of the season with both producing contrasting styles of football.

GWS have more depth in terms of running players that accumulate the uncontested possessions, while Sydney are renowned for their contested ball winning.

After two completed rounds, the Swans already rank 3rd in the competition for this measure. Expect Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker and Isaac Heeney to be prominent at winning the ball, which will set up their focal point, Lance Franklin up forward.

Franklin has booted 12 goals from his two appearances this year and is three clear of his nearest rival, the Giants’ Jeremy Cameron.

Cameron has been well served by the Giants fleet of runners further up the ground. Lachie Whitfield, Josh Kelly and Dylan Shiel are among a number that have been finding plenty of the ball for the expansion club.

Sydney Swans and Port Adelaide meet in what promises to be an Easter Sunday blockbuster at the SCG.

After both sides won their opening game of the season, two of the more likely premiership contenders go head to head in a mouthwatering clash.

The game gets underway at 4.40pm AEST and will be broadcast live on Fox Footy.

Both sides got their 2018 seasons off to the perfect start with impressive victories on the opening weekend, but only one gain maintain a perfect record heading into Round 3.

Will it by the Sydney Swans, who won 115-86 on the road at the West Coast Eagles last weekend? Or will it be Port Adelaide, who thumped Fremantle Dockers 110-60?

The manner of both of those wins make this one an eagerly-awaited clash with home advantage and their recent record against the Power making the Swans clear favourites to go 2-0 for the campaign.

The Swans have won five of the last six meetings between the two sides, although the defeat came at the SCG in Round 1 last year when Power pulled off a shock 110-82 success in Sydney.

Power will have to find a way to stop Buddy Franklin if they are to repeat that victory though, after he started the year in ominous form with a impressive display of goalkicking to bag eight goals last weekend against the Eagles.

Australian Football League Live West Coast Eagles vs Sydney Swans Live Stream Free, AFL 2018 Seasons Week 1 AFL Stream. West Coast Eagles vs Sydney Swans match will be kickoff at Manuka Oval Stadium, Griffith, Australia, Sunday 25 March 2018 online, 19:20 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

History will be made on Sunday March 25 when Perth Stadium hosts its first ever AFL game as the famous rivals of the mid 2000s in the West Coast Eagles and the Sydney Swans clash in Round 1 action.

First bounce is at 7.20PM AEST and all the action can be seen live on Fox Footy, while AFL Live Vision is also available to ALL CrownBet members. Every Match, wherever you are.

Sydney have been posted as the $1.40 favourites in the head to head betting with CrownBet and were the form side in the latter half of season 2017.

John Longmire’s side won 15 of their last 18 games last year and claimed victories over Brisbane and GWS in the recent JLT Community Series.

West Coast weren’t too far behind Sydney last year, sneaking into the finals before bowing out on the same weekend as the Swans. Adam Simpson’s side won their first JLT encounter- a two-point win over Port Adelaide, before being outplayed by their local rivals, Fremantle, to the tune of 62.

It will be interesting to see how they adapt to the new stadium after being such a dominant force at Domain Stadium in recent times. Perth Stadium is slightly shorter than Domain’s AFL playing dimensions but is wider and more in line with the MCG, a ground that the Eagles haven’t played too well at in recent years.

A capacity crowd of 60,000 fans should give the home side some impetus but the fans will need the new look Eagles to lift. Jeremy McGovern, Andrew Gaff and Luke Shuey have been among some of the notable names that have been firing in the pre-season but the depth of West Coast looks a little sketchy.

We can expect Sydney to be ready for this after their dismal start to 2017. The Swans big names in Lance Franklin, Josh Kennedy and Dane Rampe have been in top form heading into this, while their host of young guns look to have a slight edge on the Eagles youth.

Watch AFL JLT Series Live Brisbane Lions vs Sydney Swans Saints Streaming Free 2018 AFL Pre Seasons match will be kick off at Moreton Bay Lions Football club, Burpengary, Queensland, Australia, Saturday 03 March 2018 online, 15:35 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

AFL Live Streaming

The Brisbane Lions and Sydney Swans will have their first hit out of the JLT Community Series at Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of the match, starting from 4:35pm (AEDT).

Brisbane, with a number of changes again in the off-season, want to continue building a winning culture at the club this year.

As for the Swans, after a slow start to their 2017 campaign, they’ll be keen to be up and about early this year and looked impressive in a practice match against crosstown rivals Greater Western Sydney last Friday.

Brisbane will unveil 2017 number one draft pick, Cameron Rayner, for his first match. Supporters can expect to see Rayner play up forward as part of a fairly small line-up, with Eric Hipwood the only tall forward.

Fans will also be intrigued to see Charlie Cameron in his first game as a Lion. The ex-Adelaide player has been named in the centre, which has lost experience with Tom Rockliff’s departure to Port Adelaide.

Brisbane will be without Dayne Beams, Dayne Zorko and Luke Hodge, with defender Harris Andrews leading the side as skipper.

Meanwhile, Sydney have selected a very strong team.

Headlined by Lance Franklin at full-forward, the team includes five of the club’s seven-man leadership group – Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker, Dane Rampe, Nick Smith and Kieren Jack.

The only pre-season recruit named is running defender Ryley Stoddart, who was taken at pick 53 in last year’s draft. Dan Hannebery, Heath Grundy, Jarrad McVeigh and Zak Jones will not play due to injury concerns.

Brisbane’s kids may be improving and will start to challenge teams this year, but in this pre-season game more interest will surround how threatening the Swans are for the 2018 season.

Prediction
Sydney has named a side far too strong for Brisbane to compete with. The Swans will take a comfortable victory here.

AFL Live Geelong Cats vs Sydney Swans Streaming Free 2017 Regular Seasons Final week 02 match will be kick off at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, Friday 15 September 2017 online, 19:50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Geelong finished in 2nd position on the AFL ladder at the end of the home and away season but were shell-shocked in the first week of the finals, going down to Richmond by 51 points in the Qualifying Final.

They face a fight for survival against Sydney, who were far too classy for Essendon in the Elimination Final, defeating the Bombers by 65 points.

The Swans were 6th at the conclusion of the regular year but have won 15 of their last 17 and head into this as $1.40 favourites in the early head to head betting with CrownBet.

John Longmire’s midfield contingent were brutal against Essendon, while Lance Franklin put on a bit of a show up forward, booting four goals.

Geelong have some work to do to turn things around but the good news for Cats fans is that, historically, sides that lose Qualifying Finals tend to bounce back in the Semis. Another positive is that Geelong rank well in a number of statistical measures compared to the Swans.

Chris Scott’s side just shade Sydney in the disposal and contested possession count this season, while they have also been better at winning the clearances.

Patrick Dangerfield is sure to have an influence, while Joel Selwood should be a bit of an improver after producing a sub-par performance in his return from injury last week. Mitch Duncan shapes as an important player, while Sam Menegola is another that needs to lift.

That quartet face the likes of Josh Kennedy, Daniel Hannebery, Luke Parker and Kieren Jack in the middle of the ground and will need big games if their side are to cause an upset.

However, there are plenty of other factors that would point to a Sydney win. The Swans seem to have too much depth around the ground and are in the better form at this time of the year. They also have a terrific recent record over Geelong.
