AFL Footy West Coast Eagles vs Melbourne Demons Live Streaming Free 2019 Online Week 09

May 16, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

Australian Football League West Coast Eagles vs Melbourne Demons Live Stream Free, AFL 2019 Round 09 Live Stream. West Coast Eagles vs Melbourne Demons match will be kickoff at Optus Stadium, Burswood, Australia, Friday 17 May 2019 online,Time:08:10pm AEST and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

The Demons will be looking for revenge when they travel West to take on the Eagles on Friday night. They’ve won their past two and will be looking to make it three on the spin but standing in their way is an Eagles outfit that boast back-to-back wins of their own!

The Eagles seem to be finding their feet in season 2019 after what was an unexpected slow start by the reigning premiers. They’ve railed off back-to-back wins against the Suns and the Saints to take their season record to 5-3, which has them in seventh spot on the ladder and only one game behind Collingwood in second.

Their most recent game against the Saints was an impressive win for many reasons. It reminded everyone just how well they can play in Melbourne, it showed they don’t have to rely on their big forwards to kicks bags (Kennedy, Darling combined for three goals), and gave us another reason to believe they have one of the most balanced midfields in the league (Gaff, Sheed, Shuey all 27+ touches).

Now with two comfortable wins on the spin, we don’t expect their team list or game style to change too much for at least the next couple of weeks. They’re elite in midfield and defence and have a forward line with a decent spread of goalkickers.

The Demons have looked a much better side than the one that ran out losers to Port Adelaide at home in Round 1. They too have put together consecutive wins, theirs being against the Hawks and the Suns. The Demons record has now improved to 3-5, which has them in 15thspot and one just game outside the top eight.

Demons fans could be excused for biting off all of their fingernails in their five-point win over the Hawks in Round 7. If they managed to hold off in that game, then we’re certain they’ve got none left now after their thrilling one-point win over the Suns last weekend.

More promising signs for Dees fans is that Clayton Oliver (38 disposals, 15 tackles) and Nathan Jones (28 disposals, eight tackles) are starting to find their best form around the ball, while Tom McDonald (three goals) is finally finding the big sticks.

The upcoming meeting at Optus Stadium will be the fifth time in a row the Eagles have hosted the Demons in this match-up. Obviously, the Eagles were far too good in the Preliminary Final last year, but aside from that it’s been a fairly even match-up over the last five games.

Although the Demons have won their last two and seem to be on the up, we still fancy the Eagles being far too strong for them at home, just like they were in the Preliminary Final last year. They’re coming off one of their best performances of the season and have a forward line that is finally starting to clunk marks and kick goals. We have them covering a spread that is just under four goals at the time of writing.

Australian Football League St Kilda Saints vs West Coast Eagles Live Stream Free, AFL 2019 Round 08 Live Stream. St Kilda Saints vs West Coast Eagles match will be kickoff at Marvel Stadium, Docklands, Australia, Saturday 11 May 2019 online,Time: 7:25pm AEST and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

The two sides head into this with win-loss records of 4-3 but it is West Coast that are expected to win on the back of their superiority in 2018.

Last year’s premiers come off a 23 point win over the Gold Coast Suns in round seven, while St Kilda lost to GWS by 44. The Saints, who finished last season in 16th spot, have lost two on the trot after opening up with four wins from their first five games.

Alan Richardson’s side will look to hold on to the ball with uncontested possession and are averaging more disposals than the Eagles this season. Jack Billings and Seb Ross are among those that have been finding plenty of the footy, while Jack Steele comes off a sold performance last weekend.

West Coast will look to kick the ball long towards their marking targets. Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling will be the focal points, while Jeremy McGovern will play his sweeping role across half back.

Kennedy and Darling combined for six goals in the win over Gold Coast last weekend, while McGovern was among the better players for the Eagles.

For the winner between the Eagles and Saints, a win-loss record of 5-3 and top eight spot awaits at the end of the weekend, while the loser will be back in the midst of the bottleneck at 4-4.

St Kilda have a stack of players on the injury list. Jimmy Webster is the latest casualty after hurting his hand in the loss to GWS. Jake Carlisle remains on the sidelines with a back injury, while Jack Steven is a week by week proposition due to mental health.

West Coast will monitor Tom Hickey at training after the big man was a late withdrawal last weekend. Brendon Ah Chee will be considered after producing a strong display in the WAFL last weekend.

West Coast have won nine of their past 10 against St Kilda, including the Round 11 clash between the two sides last year at Perth Stadium by 13 points. In that match, Josh Kennedy booted six goals for the winners, while Tim Membrey also chimed in with six for the Saints.

St Kilda fans can head in with some optimism as the last time the two sides played at Marvel was in Round 20 of 2017 and that encounter went the way of the Saints by eight points.

This should be a lot closer than what many think but the Eagles can hold sway at Marvel Stadium.

Australian Football League West Coast Eagles vs Gold Coast Suns Live Stream Free, AFL 2019 Round 07 Live Stream. West Coast Eagles vs Gold Coast Suns match will be kickoff at Optus Stadium, Burswood, Australia, Saturday 04 May 2019 online,Time: 8.10pm AEST and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

The reigning premiers enter the match sitting on three wins and three losses, as they currently sit 12th on the AFL ladder. Directly below them is the Gold Coast Suns who are also 3-3.

West Coast were embarrassed by top-of-the-table Geelong as they suffered a 58-point thrashing at the ‘Cattery.’ They were blown out in the first quarter conceding seven goals to two.

The Suns were just as poor last round as Brisbane demolished them in the second half. Trailing by a goal at halftime, the Suns kicked just three goals to 10 in the second half.

I believe the result is a foregone conclusion in this match between the Eagles and the Suns. The question will be whether the Suns can stay within reach throughout the game. The Eagles could give them a belting.

Andrew Gaff continues to lead the Eagles in the middle averaging 32.8 disposals. Captain Shannon Hurn remains solid down back with 26.5 touches per game and the likes of Dom Sheed, Luke Shuey, Elliot Yeo, Jeremy McGovern, Josh Kennedy, Jack Darling and Jack Petruccelle will have too much class for the Suns team.

Jake Waterman could be recalled into the Eagles’ team after kicking bags of five, five and three in the WAFL. He has taken 21 marks in those three games. Jack Redden is the other possible inclusion. Oscar Allen and Tom Cole were hardly sighted against Geelong and could be dropped.

Gold Coast don’t have any fresh injuries to report. After a poor performance, the Suns could make a few changes. We will have to wait and see any changes they decide to make.

West Coast pack too many weapons and should comfortably take care of the Suns at home.

Players List:
WEST COAST EAGLES:
B: Shannon Hurn, Will Schofield, Tom Cole
HB: Lewis Jetta, Jeremy McGovern, Brad Sheppard
C: Mark Hutchings, Elliot Yeo, Andrew Gaff

AFL West Coast Eagles vs GWS Giants Live Streaming Free 2019 Online Week 02 Football

AFL Live West Coast Eagles vs GWS Giants Live Streaming Free 2019 Round 2 Live Stream Online,The AFL match will be kick off at Optus Stadium, Burswood, Australia, Saturday 30 March 2019 online, 20:10 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

West Coast were among a number of sides that went down unexpectedly in Round 1. The Eagles were rolled to the tune of 44 points by the Brisbane Lions and will be itching to bounce back as they unfurl the 2018 premiership flag in front of their home fans.

They face up to a red hot GWS outfit that demolished Essendon by 72 points in an effort that reminded the competition that they are still a force to be reckoned with, despite losing some key players in the off season.

The Giants have the game to take it to the Eagles with their fleet of midfielders that can trouble the home side with their quick ball movement.

Stephen Coniglio, Tim Taranto and Lachie Whitfield will be the key players for the visitors, while Heath Shaw and Zac Williams should provide plenty of run from the backline.

But the Eagles will be tough to beat on their home deck. Dom Sheed, Luke Shuey and Elliot Yeo can match motors with the Giants mids and we can expect the likes of Jeremy McGovern and Chris Masten to lift on their output after producing relatively quiet games last weekend.

Josh Kennedy is set to come back in for West Coast and his inclusion would be a huge bonus. Willie Rioli is an outside chance to return.

GWS are set to welcome back their star midfielder, Josh Kelly, from injury, while Nick Haynes and Aidan Corr are others in the frame.

West Coast have won their past two against GWS and have never lost to the Giants in Perth. Last season it was an 11 point win for the Eagles at Perth Stadium in Round 16.

In that game, Andrew Gaff, Jack Redden and Elliot Yeo found a heap of the footy, while Stephen Coniglio was the best for GWS. West Coast won 11 of their 14 games at Optus Stadium in 2018. GWS won just five of their 11 games outside of NSW last season.

Players List:
EAGLES:
B: Hurn, Barrass, Cole
HB: Sheppard, McGovern, Jetta

Free Brisbane Lions vs West Coast Eagles Live Stream Football 23 March Online

AFL Live Brisbane Lions vs West Coast Eagles Live Streaming Free 2019 Round 1 Live Stream Online,The AFL match will be kick off at Gabba, Woolloongabba, Australia, Saturday 23 March 2019 online, 20:20 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

The Eagles need a win to stitch up 2nd spot on the ladder and a home final. All the action can be seen on Fox Footy.

West Coast come off a 17 point loss to Melbourne in Round 22 and that effort has put them in danger of losing their grip on 2nd position on the ladder.

Another defeat will mean that Collingwood or Hawthorn could surpass them on the ladder, meaning that the Eagles will lose the right to host a final in week one of the upcoming finals series.

The Eagles have been posted as the $1.50 favourites for the clash against Brisbane but the Lions can present a danger to the West Australians.

Chris Fagan’s side come off a four point victory over the Gold Coast Suns and while they have only won five games this season, including just two at the GABBA, they have pushed a number of quality sides over the course of 2018.

West Coast look to have an advantage in a number of areas. They are superior in the air, ranking No.1 in the competition for marks and contested marks, while they are 2nd for hitouts.

However, they may have to do it without Jack Darling, who was concussed in the loss to Melbourne. Jeremy McGovern will be a steadying influence, while Elliot Yeo and Chris Masten loom as other keys.

Brisbane can get some ascendancy in the middle. They rank higher for contested possessions and clearances. Dayne Beams and Hugh McCluggage are in good form and if there forwards can deliver it will make for an interesting clash. The Lions registered 28 scoring shots to 19 last weekend and inaccuracy cost them a greater margin.

Brisbane are likely to be without Alex Witherden after the youngster sustained a hamstring injury in the win over Gold Coast. Oscar McInerney is expected to return from illness.

West Coast’s Jack Darling will be monitored at training after going down with concussion last weekend, while Josh Kennedy is expected to miss another game. Jake Waterman is a possible inclusion.

West Coast have dominated Brisbane in recent times, winning the past seven games between the two sides with those wins coming at an average margin of 53 points. Four of those games have been held at the GABBA.

The most recent game between the two sides was in Round 19 of 2017 at Domain Stadium and on that occasion it was the Eagles by 68 points. West Coast have won six of nine games outside of Perth this season. Brisbane have won just two of their 10 games at their home ground in 2018.

West Coast are the superior side and they will notch up a convincing win. Eagles fans can start thinking about a Qualifying Final at Perth Stadium.

Players List:

C: Zorko, Neale, McCluggage

West+Coast+Eagles+vs+Collingwood+Magpies+Live

Watch AFL Grand Finale Live West Coast Eagles vs Collingwood Magpies Live Streaming Free 2018 AFL Grand Finals 2018 Online, match will be kick off at Melbourne Cricket Ground Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Saturday 29 September 2018 online, 14:30 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

This year’s Grand Final combatants have defied expert expectations and long injury lists to be the last two standing for Saturday’s 2018 AFL Premiership finale at the MCG.

Not many outside the four walls of West Coast and Collingwood — even their most rabid followers — would have thought September silverware was within reach pre-season, let alone once their respective campaigns fell deeper into despair with the continued loss of key personnel.

That the Eagles (second) and Magpies (third) overcame the attrition to have the last dance on the MCG speaks volumes of the quality of each club’s coaches, fitness programs and lists.

Collingwood was the AFL’s second-worst hit team in 2018 for injuries to players in their best 22, while West Coast too has endured its own injury chaos this season.

The now-retired Eric Mackenzie didn’t play a game in 2018, dual Coleman Medallist Josh Kennedy was restricted to 13, inspirational ruckman Nic Naitanui missed out from round 17 with an ACL while versatile defender Brad Sheppard’s season ended with a hamstring tear early in the qualifying final win over the Pies.

Add the significant ankle setbacks to Jack Darling in his best season of AFL and prolific midfielder Luke Shuey, plus the Andrew Gaff suspension fiasco in round 20 that briefly rattled the club and its brand, and it seems a miracle the Eagles even made it this far.

Long injury lists expose a club’s depth and, left with no other option, West Coast went to the well early in 2018 and discovered talent lurking that could save their season.

Naitanui’s absence was offset by Scott Lycett and Nathan Vardy forming an unlikely ruck duo. The pair nullifed Collingwood’s All-Australian ruckman Brodie Grundy in the Perth final and did the same two weeks later against Melbourne at Optus Stadium opposed to the league’s best ruckman Max Gawn.

Collingwood has been equally resilient and brave, and were certainly not expected to cover the losses of Ben Reid, Jamie Elliott, James Aish, Flynn Appleby, Kayle Kirby, Rupert Wills, Alex Fasolo or Daniel Wells and make September action, let alone the ‘grannie’.

Torn ACLs to key backs Matt Scharenberg (round 19) and Lynden Dunn (round 15) later devastated the side’s renovated defence.

But this most unlikely of match-ups on the last Saturday in September is not only a celebration of mind over matter but of the prospect of a rare contest of contrasting game styles that both sides will try desperately to impose from the very first bounce at 12.30pm.

Collingwood’s 2018 brand of footy revolves on a slick midfield that revels in the contest and an unpredictable, selfless attack of medium-sized forwards and one giant Texan, the 211cm Mason Cox.

West Coast by name like to rule the air and their tall timber have soared at either end this year, while the side’s fast, effective creativity off half back and the unmatched conversion rate of its dynamic new attack inside 50 has been refreshing to watch.

Radio 6PR football analyst Kim Hagdorn has analysed as much AFL football in 2018 as anyone and believed some key elements would shape the destiny of the two proud clubs come Saturday.

While Eagles coach Adam Simpson played down the impact of a wet and rainy MCG, Hagdorn believes the ground conditions could significantly sway the game if it allows one side to get the game played on its terms.

“A wet MCG will certainly aid Collingwood, given the depth and quality of their midfield, backed by Brody Grundy,” Hagdorn said.

The Pies midfield is rated first in the AFL by Champion Data and they have protected their undermanned defence well all year. It was no coincidence when the two sides last met in the qualifying final that the Eagles got the better of Collingwood once they won the midfield battle in the last quarter to successfully feed hungry forwards Kennedy and Darling.

“West Coast don’t need to get the ball inside their forward 50 as much as Collingwood … their conversion rate once inside has been the best in the competition this year,” Hagdorn said.

The wider MCG would not faze West Coast as much as previously, given it has played a full season at new home ground Optus Stadium that is similar in dimension to the traditional home of football.

“Simpson has had a whole year to finetune his team’s structures across the ground, so they will feel a lot more confident this time around than in 2015,” Hagdorn said.

Credit should also be given to West Coast’s fitness and conditioning staff, who have given the Eagles some extra miles in the legs to manage the wider expanses of the 60,000-seat Perth stadium and MCG, where the side was unbeaten from two games in 2018.

“The way they used the run of Gaff and Masten from the wing … the team is fitter, and better strategy wise without a doubt this year,” Hagdorn said.

Like Collingwood, the Eagles would have only gained confidence by continually winning while continually losing elite players like Naitnaui and Gaff.

Both sides have exceeded pre-season predictions and rank similarly in a number of areas. They have the same win-loss record of 11-4 and their points scored and points conceded are also eerily similar.

Collingwood have been posted favourite in the head to head betting on the back of the home ground advantage and some superior recent form. The Magpies have won their past seven games, while West Coast have lost three of their past four.

However, those losses came in the absence of a number of key players that may return from injury this weekend. Last Sunday, they were able to knock over GWS by 11 points at Perth Stadium.

On the same day, Collingwood proved to be too good for their old rivals, Essendon, by defeating the Bombers by 16 points in front of 70,000 fans at the MCG.

In that game, Scott Pendlebury, Steele Sidebottom and Taylor Adams found plenty of the footy, while Jordan de Grey booted three goals.

Look for that quartet to be prominent once again. Collingwood rank No.1 in the competition for total disposals, while West Coast are just 16th. The Eagles will need the likes of Andrew Gaff and Elliot Yeo to produce big games in the middle, while Shannon Hurn and Jeremy McGovern will be out to curb the Magpies forward thrusts with their intercept marking.

McGovern has played as a forward in recent weeks but may be swung back with Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling likely to return from injury.

Collingwood have a lengthy injury list and Flynn Appleby is the latest casualty. The good news is that Darcy Moore and Travis Varcoe look ready to return.

West Coast may regain some big names with Josh Kennedy, Jack Darling and Mark LeCras edging closer to a return from their respective injuries. Dom Sheed and Tom Barrass are others that are in the mix.

Collingwood have won the past two against West Coast and the last time the two sides met was in Round 18 of 2017 at Etihad Stadium. On that occasion the Magpies prevailed by eight points and it was Brodie Grundy that starred for the winners, while Jordan de Grey booted four goals.

It has been well documented that West Coast have a poor record a the MCG and they have won just three of their past nine at the venue. Two of those wins have come against Carlton. West Coast have not defeated the Magpies at the venue since Round 2 in 1995. Collingwood have won six of their 10 games at the home of footy in 2018.

West Coast come off a stunning win over Port Adelaide in Round 21 after Jeremy McGovern booted a goal after the siren to hand his side a four point win over Port Adelaide.

That victory meant that the Eagles finished the round in 2nd position on the ladder and a win here will mean that they will lock in a home final in the first week of the finals series.

On the same weekend, Melbourne went down to the Sydney Swans by nine points and that loss continued the Demons winless streak against sides in the top half of the ladder. Simon Goodwin’s side are 0-7 against the top nine teams.

They are currently 7th on the ladder and with a game to follow against GWS they are in danger of falling out of the eight. Inaccuracy cost them in the loss to Sydney as they had 28 scoring shots to 22.

Statistically, Melbourne rank higher than West Coast in a number of measures. They are 2nd for total disposals, while West Coast are 16th and they are 3rd for clearances, compared to 12th.

Clayton Oliver, Angus Brayshaw and Dom Tyson should find plenty of the footy and we can expect Max Gawn to have an influence in the ruck in the absence of his Eagles counterpart, Nic Natanui.

However, the dominance in those numbers has not always translated to a win for the Demons. West Coast are a strong marking side and even without Natanui and possibly Josh Kennedy, they can get on top in the air.

Last week’s match winner, Jeremy McGovern, is one that will need to be contained as well as Jack Darling, who was quiet in the win over the Power but has booted 38 goals from his 16 appearance this season.

An upset win for Melbourne will see them safely into the September action and possibly as high as 4th at the end of the round but a loss will leave them clinging on to their spot in the eight and needing to win in Round 23.

West Coast aren’t expected to make too many changes but Hamish Brayshaw, Jake Waterman and Brayden Ainsworth are among those that are knocking on the door. Josh Kennedy is expected to miss another match.

Melbourne will be without Jayden Hunt after the running defender hurt his calf last weekend but Michael Hibberd is rated a chance of returning. Max Gawn battled with a corked calf in the Swans loss but is expected to be ok.

West Coast have won 10 of the past 11 games between the two sides but the last time they met it was Melbourne in a three point thriller at Domain Stadium in Perth. That clash was in Round 14 of 2017 and it was Tom McDonald that sealed the victory with a late goal.

Melbourne are yet to play at Perth Stadium and will need to be at their best as West Coast are building up a nice record at the venue, winning nine of their 11 games there. Melbourne have ventured interstate on six occasions in 2018 and have come away with a very respectable five wins.

This game is huge for Melbourne but it is hard to ignore their record this season against quality opposition, while West Coast have been excellent at their new home ground.

The West Coast Eagles will be looking to bounce back against the Fremantle Dockers after their 40-point loss to North Melbourne in Hobart on Sunday. The Kangaroos only held a 3-point lead at half time, but kicked seven goals to one in the second half as the Eagles had no answer.

Despite the loss, the Eagles have still played some terrific football in the last month. This has included victories over the GWS Giants and Collingwood at the MCG.

The Eagles still sit in second position on the ladder but are only a game clear of Collingwood and Port Adelaide. The Eagles are likely to be without Josh Kennedy for the Western Derby but will take confidence from the fact they have beaten the Dockers on the last six occasions.

The Fremantle Dockers have played some pretty ordinary football since losing skipper Nat Fyfe. A gritty nine-point victory over Port Adelaide was sandwiched between a 54-point loss to Melbourne, 55-point loss to Brisbane and a 59-point loss to the Hawks on Sunday afternoon.

The Dockers have looked lackluster and haven’t really brought any real intensity in four out of their last five weeks. They should lift for the Western Derby, however I can’t see it being enough to trouble the Eagles.

Eagles star forward Josh Kennedy is unlikely to play in the Western Derby after suffering a shin injury at training last Thursday. Kennedy was named in the team to play against the Kangaroos on Sunday but didn’t make the trip to Hobart. Lewis Jetta also missed the Hobart trip and is listed as a ‘test’ for the match against the Dockers.

The West Coast Eagles have won the last six Western Derby’s, dating back to Round 20, 2015. Prior to this, the Dockers had won the previous six Derby’s.
The Dockers have averaged only 65 points per game in their last six matches against the Eagles.
The Eagles haven’t lost consecutive games twice in a season since 2014.
