Western Bulldogs vs Carlton Blues match will be kickoff at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Friday 27 April 2018 online, 19:45 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

Round 6 of the AFL home and away season gets underway when the Western Bulldogs take on Carlton at Etihad Stadium on Friday night.

The April 27 encounter gets underway at 7.50PM and it is the Dogs that head in as favourites against the Blues, who are yet to win a game this year. Channel 7 and Fox Footy will broadcast the game.

The two sides have combined for just the one win in 2018. That went the way of the Western Bulldogs, who defeated Essendon in Round 3. Since then the 2016 premiers have gone down to Sydney by seven points and Fremantle by 54.

Carlton battled through their first four games before putting on an improved showing by just falling short behind one of the ladder leaders in West Coast last weekend. They went down to the Eagles by 10 points at the MCG.

An interesting feature of this game is that both sides have struggled to impact the scoreboard in 2018. Carlton average just 67 points, while the Dogs have fared slightly better with 72 points per game. Both sides are conceding a tick over 100 points.

It may be a case of the side that stands up the most in the middle of the ground. Patrick Cripps has been in great form for Carlton and is one of the reasons why the Blues rank higher than the Dogs for winning contested possessions and clearances. Other key players for Brendan Bolton’s side are their defenders, Sam Rowe and Liam Jones, as well as the ever reliable, Kade Simpson and Ed Curnow.

At the Bulldogs, their coach Luke Beveridge will need to find a way for his side to avoid the lapses that have plagued them this year. They were flat on the road last weekend but were good the two weeks prior to that.

Marcus Bontempelli and Jackson Macrae have been in good touch for the Bulldogs but it is their second tier players that will need to lift if they are going to get their running game going.

Saturday night sees a battle between the 13th placed Fremantle and the 15th placed Western Bulldogs at the brand new Optus Stadium in Perth. With a torrential downpour expected in Perth on the weekend, we will likely see an ugly battle between two sides that are in patchy form during 2018. In good news for Dockers fans, Freo have looked a completely different side at home, with Fyfe, Neale and Walters dominating through the middle and David Mundy winding back the clock. They will welcome a Bulldogs side that has finally began to show some ticker- despite all the rumblings around player discontent and if they bring the same endeavour they showed against the Swans, the Dockers will have a fight on their hands.

Fremantle (LWWL) – When they lost in the opening round by 50 points, the footy world collectively rolled their eyes, expecting another boring, losing season from Ross Lyon’s boys. They have turned it around, however, with 2 big wins at home and a competitive performance in their loss to the Giants last weekend. Crucially for the Dockers, Nat Fyfe is back to his Brownlow winning best.

Western Bulldogs (LLWL) – After a diabolical start to the year, the Bulldogs have started to look more like the Premiership side of 2016 over the past fortnight. Their manic tackling pressure has returned, and it was only a couple of horrendous skill/decision making errors that cost them against the Swans last round- a match they really should have won.

The Wolf is wary of this Bulldogs side, whose best is Premiership winning- but they have a poor record in Perth and will face a Freo side who have been exciting (shock horror!) at home. The weather will keep things interesting, but the Wolf thinks the Dockers midfield brigade should be able to hold off the Bulldogs- and then take advantage of the inexperienced defence.

Western Bulldogs vs Sydney Swans match will be kickoff at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Saturday 14 April 2018 online, 16:35 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

One of the big games of AFL Round 4 will be when the Western Bulldogs take on the Sydney Swans at Etihad Stadium on Saturday April 14.

The Bulldogs bounced back last weekend but face a red-hot Swans outfit and the action can be seen on Fox Footy.

The Western Bulldogs battled in the first two home and away games, going down to GWS by 82 points before losing to West Coast by 51. However, they rebounded with a strong win over Essendon in Round 3, defeating the Bombers by 19.

Sydney have a superior win-loss record, winning two of three. Their wins came against West Coast in Round 1 and GWS last weekend by 16 points at the SCG. In Round 2 they were rolled by Port Adelaide to the tune of 23 points.

John Longmire’s side are playing their typical brand of football, dominating sides at winning the clearances and contested football. Josh Kennedy, Isaac Heeney and Luke Parker will all have plenty of influence against the Bulldogs and can give the Swans the upper hand in the middle.

The Dogs will also need to find a way to stop Lance Franklin, who is easily the best forward in the competition at the moment. Franklin has booted 14 goals in the three games this year but has also set up plenty of others by roaming further up the ground.

Bulldogs fans can take a fair degree of optimism into the game, given that the Dogs midfield group played what was some of their best footy for a long time last weekend. Their side should also have possibly beaten Essendon by a lot more than what the margin suggests as they booted an inaccurate 14.20.

Look for Lachie Hunter, Luke Dahlhaus and Jack Macrae to attempt to match motors with Sydney’s star-studded midfield and it will be interesting to see where Marcus Bontempelli spends most of his time. The Bont booted three goals in the win over the Dons last weekend, playing mainly as a forward.

AFL Live Western Bulldogs vs Essendon Bombers Streaming Free 2018 Regular Seasons week 03 match will be kick off at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Sunday 08 Apri 2018 online, 15:20 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

AFL Live Streaming

AFL Sunday action sees the Western Bulldogs take on the Essendon Bombers at Etihad Stadium and the Round 3 clash shapes as an interesting affair, given the Bulldogs poor start to the year.

The 2016 premiers and will be keen to make amends for their indifferent form but the Bombers will be tough to beat in the game that gets underway at 3.20PM. All the action can be seen live on 7mate and Fox Sports.

It has been a horror start for the Western Bulldogs. Luke Beveridge’s side have continued their downward slide and lost to the GWS Giants in Round 1 by 82 points before going down to West Coast to the tune of 51 in Round 2.

The club has been the subject of a fair deal of scrutiny after their mediocre start and their heroics of 2016 seem a distant memory. They are $2.80 outsiders for the clash against Essendon.

The Bombers have had a slightly better time of it thus far. They were impressive winners over Adelaide in Round 1 at Etihad Stadium but failed to take their form on the road, going down to the Fremantle Dockers by 16 points in Round 2.

John Worsfold’s side have shown superior form than the Bulldogs but can ill afford any lapses that have cost them in the first couple of weeks. They produced a poor third quarter against Freo and will need better returns from a number of their senior players.

Devon Smith, Zac Merrett, Darcy Parish and Dyson Heppell are among those that are playing consistent football and if that quartet can bring the likes of Joe Daniher and James Stewart into the contest, they should have too many answers. Daniher went goalless last weekend and booted two in the opening round, while Stewart has five goals to his credit so far in 2018.

For the Bulldogs to improve they will simply need to bring the energy and hunger to the contest. They were blown away in the second quarter by West Coast last weekend. Poor intensity and a stack of skill errors causing plenty of concern for their coaching staff.

They have some players that are finding the footy and Jack Macrae, Lachie Hunter, Marcus Bontempelli and Jason Johannisen should provide plenty of spark, but they will need to find better avenues to goal as they have registered a total of just 120 points in their two outings thus far.

AFL Live Streaming

Both the West Coast Eagles and Western Bulldogs started 2018 winless. It will be a clash of two desperate teams at Etihad Stadium on Easter Sunday at 3:20pm (AEDT).

The Western Bulldogs got humiliated in Round 1, but are favourites to bounce back with a victory over the Eagles. All the action can be watched on Channel 7 and Fox Footy, starting at 3:00pm.

Only 18 months ago the Western Bulldogs were the best team in the competition, taking all before them to win the Grand Final, defeating the Sydney Swans in arguably the best match in the clubs history.

Now, the Western Bulldogs have lost their identity. The Manic pressure that saw them climb to the top of the football world is well and truly gone. The leaders are questioning themselves and the Dogs look lost.

Round 1 was nothing more than a training drill for the GWS Giants. The Giants got away to a fast start, before the Dogs kicked three consecutive goals to end the first quarter. In the final three quarters, the Giants kicked 16 goals to four.

It’s only one match, but it is hard to see the Dogs finding anywhere near that form that they captured in 2016. It’s a case of, how far will the Dogs fall?

The West Coast Eagles came away winless from their first match at Optus Stadium. The Swans proved too good, winning by 29 points, but there were positive signs for the Eagles.

Nic Naitanui showed that his best footy is still in front of him after 19 months on the sidelines, recovering from his ruptured ACL. Naitanui finished with 12 disposals, 33 hitouts and a goal that almost brought the new Stadium down as the Eagles closed to within 11 points in the third quarter.

Lance Franklin again proved himself as one of the best players in the competition. Franklin finished with eight goals and 21 possessions, getting the Swans the four points.

GWS Giants vs Western Bulldogs match will be kickoff at Manuka Oval Stadium, Griffith, Australia, Sunday 25 March 2018 online, 13:10 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

The AFL Premiership fancies, GWS, take on the Western Bulldogs in one of the nine opening Round 1 games this weekend.

The clash between the two sides begins at 1.10PM on Sunday and will be held at UNSW Stadium in Canberra. Fox Footy will broadcast the game.

GWS head into this as warm favourites at the $1.42 quote with CrownBet ahead of the Bulldogs, who are at $2.80.

The Giants were the superior side in 2017, finishing 4th on the ladder after the regular season, while the Bulldogs foundered in 10th. Both sides won one of two in the recent JLT Community Series.

While GWS have been hit hard by injuries they have plenty of midfield depth and the collection of the likes of Lachie Whitfield, Callan Ward, Josh Kelly and Stephen Coniglio will provide plenty of headaches for the Bulldogs.

That quartet were excellent in the recent hitout against Sydney and will look to supply the Jeremy Cameron and Toby Greene up forward.

Marcus Bontempelli, Jack Macrae and Jason Johannisen will need big games and the Dogs will be hoping for more improvement out of Tom Liberatore. The former best and fairest had an ordinary season in 2017 but has been promising in the trial games.

GWS will have up to seven senior players missing including Ryan Griffen, Tom Scully and Jacob Hopper. The Bulldogs will be without the suspended Jack Redpath, while Jordan Roughead is in some doubt but has been named. New faces include Jackson Trengove and Aaron Naughton

GWS claimed both encounters between the two sides last year, exacting some revenge for their defeat to the Doggies in what was an epic 2016 Preliminary Final.

There have been four games between the two sides at this venue and it is the Dogs with the advantage at three wins to one, although those wins were in the Giants formative years. The Giants were three from three at the venue in 2017.

AFL Collingwood Magpies vs Western Bulldogs Live Streaming 2018 JLT Series Online 10 Murch

AFL JLT Series Live Collingwood Magpies vs Western Bulldogs Streaming Free 2018 AFL Pre Seasons match will be kick off at Ted Summerton Reserve, Victoria, Australia, Saturday 10 March 2018 online, 13:05 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

AFL Live Stream

AFLW season is all but over after the Western Bulldogs prevailed by eight points in a fiery clash in the Victorian town of Moe.
The Magpies threatened a late comeback on Sunday but couldn’t stop the ladder- leading Bulldogs from claiming a 7.7 (49) to 6.5 (41) victory at Ted Summerton Reserve.

The result takes the Dogs four points clear of second-placed Brisbane and leaves Collingwood anchored to the bottom of the ladder with two rounds remaining.

Both sides will be sweating on Monday’s match review findings.

Magpies skipper Steph Chiocci was reported in the opening minutes for a head- high bump on Libby Birch which left the Dogs youngster dazed.

Birch returned with her head strapped and was later reported herself for making head-high contact to Collingwood’s Moana Hope.

Match review officer Michael Christian is also likely to scrutinise a fierce exchange between the Bulldogs’ Emma Kearney and Collingwood’s Brittany Bonnici. Bonnici, who shadowed Kearney throughout the match, sent the star midfielder crashing into a television broadcast crew’s plastic chairs with a rough tackle in the second quarter.

Kearney was awarded a 50m penalty but not before retaliating against Bonnici. Bonnici’s tagging role proved to be largely fruitless with the prolific Kearney still making plenty of impact alongside best-afield Ellie Blackburn (17 disposals, one goal).

The Bulldogs had 22 inside-50s to Collingwood’s four during a dominant first half marred only by their inaccuracy in front of goal.

Collingwood fought back during a stronger second half and threatened a comeback with late goals to Chloe Molloy and Christina Benardi.

But the Dogs, who led by 21 points early in the fourth term, held on to strengthen their chances of securing a home grand final.

WELCOME back Western Bulldogs – there is plenty of unfinished business to polish off in Ballarat.

Make Ballarat a top priority.

Stake a stronger claim on Mars as Bulldogs territory on Saturday.

The last time the AFL team hit our turf was for the city’s historic first in-season AFL game. A red, white and blue ‘Doggies fever and support across our streets, in our cafes and pubs, and in our schools. Even Selkirk lit up their chimney in club colours on game-day eve.

But the Bulldogs lost. To make it worse, this was a loss that well and truly ensured the Bulldogs’ premiership defence was over before it had really begun. The ‘Dogs did not make finals.

We know players were hurting, we felt for them.

We want the Bulldogs to feel – and to be – unbeatable in the Ballarat kennel.

Now is that big chance for the Bulldogs to issue a warning to the league in a practice hit-out.

Pre-season matches are hard to get super excited about in any sporting code. It is largely a testing phase, trialling emerging talent, tactics and boosting match fitness. Key players can be rested, others enjoy the extra time to shine.

Some teams play to win, most aim to fine-tune match play. There is a general lack of urgency that comes when premiership points and real pride are on the line.

Pre-season matches can also be the perfect chance to signal what is to come.

Hawthorn Hawks vs Western Bulldogs match will be kickoff at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, Friday 25 August 2017 online, 19:50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

AFL Live Stream

Hawthorn enter this off a shock loss to Carlton and stuck in 12th position. The Hawks rank 15th in scoring and 14th in defence. Hawthorn have won three of their last six. Hawthorn have been kept to 72 or less in three of their last four games. The Hawks lost their only game at Etihad this year.

The Western Bulldogs have lost their last two to GWS and Port Adelaide and as a result have fallen to 11th on the ladder with their 11-10 record. They rank eighth in defence but a lowly 14th in scoring. The Bulldogs have conceded at least 89 in their last four.

Hawthorn blew any faint hopes they had of an eighth successive finals appearance by going down to Carlton by seven points last weekend and it was a similar story for the Western Bulldogs, who were rolled by Port Adelaide to the tune of 17 points.

The Bulldogs can still make the eight if they win, but will need some unlikely results to go their way if they are to feature. Luke Beveridge’s side need Essendon and West Coast to lose their respective match ups later on the weekend. The Eagles may just do that against Adelaide but it is hard to see Essendon being rolled by Fremantle.

The game will be the last for a couple of the champions of the competition in Hawthorn’s Luke Hodge and the Western Bulldogs Robert Murphy. Both sides will be keen to farewell their retiring stars in style.

The Bulldogs and can trouble the Hawks with their free-flowing style of play. Jack Macrae, Jason Johannisen and Luke Dahlhaus should find plenty of it, while Marcus Bontempelli shapes as a match winner, but comes off a quiet game last weekend against Port.

At Hawthorn, Alistair Clarkson will need to find a way for his side to impact the scoreboard more than they have in recent times. They have dropped two of their past three and in those losses, they were held to just 64 and 70 points by Richmond and Carlton respectively.

Tom Mitchell will find plenty of the football in the middle again and look for Jaegar O’Meara to have an impact. After a quiet start in his return last weekend he managed to gather 17 possessions and will look to finish the year off in style, in order to carry some momentum into 2018.

The Hawks should have an advantage in the big man department. They rank higher for hitouts and contested marks, but the Bulldogs are superior at winning the contested football and the two sides appear to be evenly matched overall.

Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide break new ground on Saturday when AFL footy heads to Ballarat for the first time – and Mars Stadium will play host to a key with plenty of significance.

The game gets underway at 1.45pm AEST and will be broadcast on Fox Footy, while AFL Live Vision is also available to ALL CrownBet members. Every Match, wherever you are.

Ballarat has never staged an AFL game before but the inaugural fixture couldn’t be a better one with both the Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide chasing a victory for different reasons.

Reigning premiers the Bulldogs, for whom the game is a home one, sit in ninth spot on the ladder knowing they need a win to set up a last round race for a finals spot.

The Bulldogs dropped out of the top eight last weekend when going down to GWS Giants and will be bidding to bounce back in the penultimate game of the home and away season.

Power, meanwhile, are not yet assured off their place in the finals, but the sixth place side are eyeing up a possible double chance with fourth spot in their sights.

Port Adelaide were too good for Collingwood at home last weekend, but now must back that up on the road against a Dogs side who have been troublesome to overcome in the past.

It couldn’t be bigger for the fans in Ballarat and a classic is in store on Saturday afternoon.

Jason Johannisen returns to the Bulldogs side and Dale Morris also comes back in with the suspended Jack Redpath and Mitch Wallis the absentees.

Port Adelaide make three changes including a debut for Todd Marshall. Sam Powell-Pepper comes back after being rested and Riley Bonner is also named. Jasper Pittard misses out through injury, while Brendon Ah Chee and Jarman Impey are left out.
