AFL Live Sydney Swans vs Essendon Bombers Stream AFL 2017 Regular Seasons Round 14 match will be kick off at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, NSW, Australia, Friday 23 June 2017 online, 19:50 pm (AEDT) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.
The ladder-leading Swans will be eager to return to form after last week going down to Hawthorn by 10 points in a thriller at the MCG; their first defeat since Round 4 against North Melbourne.
The 7th-placed Bombers will be looking to make it four wins in a row after downing a valiant Western Bulldogs outfit to the tune of 7 points last round.
The match will be played at the SCG in Sydney, with kick off scheduled for 7.50pm AEST. The game will be broadcast live on Channel Seven and Fox Footy in Australia, with live streaming coverage also available online.
The Swans have only made one change from last week, with Rhyce Shaw coming into the side in place of Jeremy Laidler, while Tom Bellchambers moves into the Bombers team at the expense of Michael Hibberd who is sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Sydney have moved up to 12th on the ladder with a 5-7 record after their dramatic come-from-behind victory against Richmond. Sydney have now won five of their last six after astonishingly dropping six straight to open the year. The Swans have kept opponents to 81 or under in each of those six wins.
Essendon are clinging to a Top 8 position, sitting in eighth with a 6-6 record. The Bombers have won just four of their last 10 but before the bye they had belted Port Adelaide by 70 points in one of their best wins of the season. The Bombers have posted 100-plus in four of their last five. Essendon have conceded 116-plus in their last three interstate gamws.
Sydney have won five of their past six games and come off a nine point win over Richmond, while Essendon have won four of their past five but enjoyed the week off due to the bye last weekend.
Their last hitout was a ruthless 70-point win over 4th placed Port Adelaide back in Round 12. John Worsfold’s side now sits in 8th position on the ladder with six wins to their credit, one more than the 12th placed Sydney outfit.
However, the Swans head in as favourites on the back of the home ground advantage and have been posted at the odds of $1.44 in the early head to head betting with CrownBet.
Interestingly, the venue has not been a happy hunting ground for the Swans this season. They have won just two from six at the SCG this season with those wins coming over Brisbane and an out of sorts Western Bulldogs. Essendon have ventured interstate on four occasions already in season 2017 and have been victorious just once.
