The Giants (0-1, 93.1%, fourth in Conference B) were narrowly beaten by last year’s runners-up Brisbane last time out, but will hope their first home game of the season will lead to a better result.
The Kangaroos (1-0, 325%, first in Conference A) dominated Carlton in Hobart in what was their first ever AFL Women’s match, living up to their billing as pre-season flag favourites. The Giants though will provide a better test of their mettle.

GWS is a member of Conference B, while North Melbourne is a member of Conference A. The top two finishers in each five-team conference will qualify for the 2019 AFLW finals series.
